Booooo. Stay here its way better! :thumb: LOL Anyways what rim and tire size is on that? Are you gonna run it with those, or get something lighter and smaller and have slicks?

Believe it or not they are EVO 10 rims. The tires are 245/40 18's. There is roughly 9.5 inches of contact surface on them. Gives me a good idea of offset and tires size for my slick setup!

Thanks everyone! Slow progress the past couple days because of some personal reasons, but it will pick up again soon.

Great work as always , cant wait for you to move to NY with the rest of us. This is Keith by the way.

I think you're going to have a TON of fun up here!

You guys seriously rock! I woke up this morning in a terrible mood, then I came on here and it put me right back in the mood to work on this thing today! I must say this is the first thread I have ever started that has nothing but positive comments! There are a few pictures I have not shared and there is no updates on the car yet so I will just post some pictures from along the way!

Looks real good man. I hope all goes well with all that you are trying to do.it never hurts for a little support from a fellow dsm'er. Just words of advice: a set back is a set back, don't rush because something might go wrong, make percise decisions and all will go well. Good luck again. Definitely staying tuned in.

Wow, just caught this build for the first time. Don't know how I missed it! Its looking really good man, keep up the good work!

cha-ching... cha-ching

Wow I hear the money stacking up on your build:hellyeah:

I love it. It is always nice when you can follow a build especially one like yours where you are not messing around at all. I love that you went and sandblasted the underside. That is one part that alot of people dont do cause of the cost.
As for the piston/rod combo it looks as you could go with a larger turbo setup so why do you choose to go with a smaller setup?
Either way Im hooked on your build. Keep up the good work:thumb:

I went with the piston and rod combo so if and when I get the record I can bump up to something bigger. I want to have a strong bottom end so I can throw anything I want at it. And lots of people dont agree that you can daily a car on aluminum rods. So I am trying to prove otherwise. Plus who wants 700 gram+ rods whipping around down there to trash bearings?

:tease: if you read the title of this thread you would know why he is running a smaller turbo setup right now :ohdamn: LOL

and x2 on those aluminum rods having those is so much better for those bearings waiting to hear how they hold up would def like to drop those in my block as well

Little update here. I am still waiting for my transmission parts to be finished so she still has no heart, But I am finding more weight to take out still. Should be interesting to see what she weighs in at!

Keep the updates coming! Everything looks great!!

Alright guys, back at it! After a much needed break and away time from the car I got my thoughts clear and I got the project back on track. The car sat for a month and a half without being touched. Ill share some updates of whats going on with it. But essentially I am attacking the interior for weight and some appearance. The entire car is getting fully rewired front to back, pin to pin. Not taking short cuts on this car, and certainly not rushing it.

Sweet! Glad to see your back at it! I love the center console gauge bezel with the talon symbol. Was it custom fabbed?

What he said^^^ Did you make the gauge bezel or did you have someone else? I want one! :thumb:
