Kinda of a random test I did but I thought it was worth sharing. So we just got done with car that we did FP2's,ETS FMIC, 20g, V3 Link SD and 950 injectors. Felt the # were a touch low so I though I would see what 1g TB would do. We also ported the intake to match on the car and smoothed the 2g elbow to match the 1g tb. I feel the car should be around 350whp but at lest this is better. I am questioning his smaller down pipe 2.5in, High flow cat, and ex gate off manifold dumping back into the DP.
Much past 22psi the stock 2g head and intake combos on 92oct really make me fight for it. In keeping the knock down.
Another thing I have been doing some when I have a car that is seeming to be knock happy is I dump a little race gas or E85 in to see what the knock does. This is just 3/4 of a gallon of E98 to about a 1/4 tank. Leaned out the AF about 1/2 point. With 1deg more timing and all knock was totaly gone. Could have gone more if I wanted. So it goes to show how a little extra oct can do so much.
