So been in the process of rebuilding my 6bolt and finally made a tool to remove my bent valves 12/16 destroyed and my question is ...

(PS an 13/16 socket with a neodymium magnet with two small extenders worked beautifully with a rubber mallet to remove the retainers ) very simple tool to make

Can I get the machine shop to drop new valve guides in or do I need to go oversized ? Or is it all depending on the condition? How do you know if you need to go oversized?
My heads in great shape for what it is . I just don't want any surprises when I take my head to the shop ,I still need bore gauges
Already blue printed what I can with my .0001 micrometers cranks fully in spec despite having over 150,000 . Minimal taper
Stock bore pistons were in the motor also so probably will go .010 over with 1g rods and 2g pistons

Just looking for some advice from experienced bent valve people LOL

Can I re use my springs and retainers?
What should I look out for ?
Read many threads on this subject just want some more input .

Miss driving my car hate using my cavalier !
Also is 12 bent valves a record for bending valves? Lol
Litteraly any advice 100%/tips welcome or questions .
Build thread will be made in the next month

Have a good day GO JETs GO!

If the guides are cracked or not great looking you might wanna go ahead and do those too. Hit up a guy an eBay named engnbldr, he sells oem valves and guides. And he also sells oversized too. Don't let the eBay seller scare you away, there legit.
