I will eventually run gm or speed density. I pretty much built and put all this together this year so I'm trying to limit what I'm new with. When I get everything running good and some time with it under my belt I'll upgrade. Thanks man it's been a long process but it's getting there.

Understandable. Time is precious and practice makes perfect! I'll be following this for sure.
 
So I've been getting lots of tuning done ( by my1gdsm) and the car was feeling really good for being on 91 pump and only 20psi. Fighting boost leaks like crazy and then one morning I went outside to load a new tune and disaster. I had no reverse at all. Every other gear worked which was kinda weird. I tried diagnosing it and came to the conclusion that it is internal. I could disconnect the cables and shift it into reverse from under the hood and nothing. No grinding and the reverse lights came on but nothing. Well shit.

Finally got the motivation today and pulled the tranny out. Only took me 2 hours and 45 min. ;) sadly I'm getting good at working on this car from doing it so much. So tranny will be going back to tre tomorrow and hopefully he can get it figured out and shipped back soon.
Another thing coming soon also. Finally decided to make the switch to speed density so I'll be ordering everything for that next week. :)

Also included an after pic of my drip molds installed. They turned out really good.

Got some goodies in. An oem slave and master cylinder, gm iat, omni 4 bar, sd cable, ir boost solenoid and a new wg diaphragm.

I had auto zone special slave and master cylinder and I didn't trust them so I swapped them out today as well.

I got my boost solenoid hooked up, now I gotta figure out how I'm going to mount it. ;)

Gotta figure out how and where I'm going to mount my iat. I have a n/t tb so I don't have the elbow. Mine is a 90* coupler. Anyone have any thoughts? I also plan on running meth injection also so..

a little 3rd gear pull @19-20psi on 91. I eased it to wot for tuning

Teed into my pcv valve as close to the smim as I could.

Firewall mounted the sensor.

drilled a hole in my intercooler piping right out of the intercooler.

I'm hoping this will work well and there isn't too much vacuum line for the map sensor. Anyone have any input? Looks good and I routed most of the wiring through the original wire loom.
 
Looking good bro!! I see you went sd, haha. Where did you order the sd setup from? And do they provide everything you need for the install?

I ordered everything from ecmlink. Just Omni 4 bar, gm iat and I got the sd plug n play cable. I went sd so I could vent and it's easier to tune. :hellyeah:
 
Little update. Got my transmission back in today, 9" fp air filter and new tie rod ends. Love the new look without the maf with the new filter. :thumb: hopefully get some tuning done tomorrow. :cool:

Well haven't updated in awhile. F'd up my clutch by overextending it. I didn't even know it was possible. Sooo I got the tranny pulled last night and the clutch is done. :(

What do you mean by overextending the clutch exactly?
 
let me know what kind of performance your getting out of all that. im working on my list of performance parts!

I adjusted my clutch to get maximum throw like the jacks video shows. It was too much so my tob was pushing my pressure plate fingers into the clutch. As you can see it destroyed my clutch. Got my new clutch, pressure plate and tob installed today. A lot stiffer but it feels good so far. Sbc ss-x tz-b is the kit I got from twicks69. It feels really good right now on pump (91) and 21-22 pounds. Friday I'm going to the dyno to get a pump and e85 tune. :) I'm excited but kinda worried I'm going to be disappointed. I just want 400 on pump and 500 on e85. I know my 255 is my weakest link so we'll see.

Biggest waste of time and money ever. Look at this shit. Wish I had a log of these to post up. He didn't save one. Was getting 15 deg. of knock in 4th because I was on 91 pump and the boost was at 27. I guess he didn't know how to turn it down or was just an idiot with a dyno. Of course you can see it's lean as #### with 0* of timing and 15* of knock. Am I missing something here?

Got me some slicks for the front. Used but for $75 well worth it. I'm ready to see what I can get in the quarter. :) I'm hoping for a mid to low 12.

Remember to do that maintenance on the injectors every so many months with that corn. Been a lot of info lately about it destroying injectors.
