Passengers side fan
This comes on when coolant temp switch located at the bottom of the radiator reaches a certain temp.

You can remove this connector and jump the wires on the connector to bypass the switch. If this turns on the fan, it need a new sensor.

Drivers side fan
This fan only turns on when you turn the ac on.

Hello. I have an overheating problem on my 1g 4g37. Possible reasons are the radiator fan not working as well as a code 13 when the ecu is scanned. The air conditioning appears to work.
Forgive for my English. Thanks for help

Thanks! I did it as you said. And fan is working but engine still overheating.

Any other idea? What could be the reason?

Flush your cooling system (I also do a reverse flush). Here's how on a Toyota but the principle is the same. If that doesn't work you may need a new radiator.
