sell your car...
buy a turbo awd DSM and mod it.be smart with the $. budget yourself. and do something productive with it. 7 grand and you'll have a pretty sweet and quick car.
the thought crossed my mind but im into a whole other mess know lol.i still got my spyder. and now i picked up a 95GST with a 6bolt swap. the engine needs to be rebuilt, and the body could use work, the interior too. but not bad for what i paid for it. i figure fix it with i-tax money and...

i never planned on boosting it. or even modding it much more really for that matter.i was thinking a good A to B, good MPG, good looks and realiability... and of course an occasional burnout.i dont race. pretty much just to replace my spyder. i could do with just a sunroof. but im...
if it looks good to you. ild say go for it.
if your buddy got the motor/tranny rebuilt, he should have some kind of reciepts. also he should give you like a 3 week warranty er something on motor/tranny. tho 2,600 is a good price if all is good. ild look into it a bit more.
it shouldnt require...
the civic is a coupe. H22 from the prelude. it has AC and everything...im too worried about being another honda guy. some of em are stupid yes, but theres people like that in anything. plus im not one of those brand loyal hardheads like a chevy guy or anything. i recognize something for...
all true.i guess i should test drive the car n what not.
maybe consinder doin a few more bolt ons for my Spyder.
like if i were to do a full exhaust IC pipe and say a 14b turbo. maybe a FMIC .n it would be ok. . till i had to do the fuel mods, too- 190 fp and 550's, then something to...
ive found a 93 civic coupe... it has a H22 with basic bolt ons. the car itself its alright. just needs a paint and some wheels and pretty much its set. i could get it painted for like -$500
the wheels would depend. ild like some red 16s-17s with a polished lip. i think that car would be a well...
V8s can push enough air to the back of the car to spool the turbos. TT'ing a 4banger is a waste of energy, time and money. maybe twin charging with a turbo and a supercharger would be worth the hassle. but 2 turbos with one mounted in the rear... imagine all the oil lines and pipes!
those systems i believe were designed due to lack of engine bay room.
to try n mock that setup in a car where theres systems for more traditional mounting would over complicate the situation. not to mention it would be more expensive.but the pros are good. lower intake temps, weight...
sure depending on the buyer.wipers - $20.
motor mounts- if cash is the problem, home depot it up. theres a thread for home made urethene motor mounts. $20 tops.go junkyard/Ebay shopping for interior parts and valve covers. pick up a hyundia one if needed. if you dont like the looks...
hmm our stock intercoolers are pretty decent... just the piping is the downside. i understand space limitation. but it looks to me like its a front mount kit + the stock side mount with piping.
it seems possible for a set up like this with the stock side mount. especially with FMIC kits that...
im looking into getting an Audi TT...anyways i was checking out some pages with parts in stuff and came across this..." Forge "TWINtercooler" is a ground breaking innovation featuring their unique twin-intercooler design that retains the use of the OEM intercooler. The Twintercooler has...
if you got the $... pick it up and save more $ for a 6bolt swap. then your golden. make sure its not all f*ck'd up tho.but if its just boost you want... ever think about boosting your 420A? im sure you can piece together a kit for less than $3500. EASY! just ask some of the members who T'd...
$7000 97 Spyder GST 2(ish)years ago
Auto(only thing i regret), no mods,75k, great body & paint, clean leather...i remember the stock radio didnt play burned CDs and the factory infinity system was shot... all blown speakers. so of course the first thing i did was buy a MAF adapter and cone...
yeah if you get a 1g GSX you will already have a turbo, be AWD and then do Mods n stuff you might usaully not consider for a DD.If you decide to stick with your 2g power plan. i would buy an engine i could build up while keeping the car on the road... minimal downtime and way less hassle to...
my grandpa bought one of those a while back. i dont remember what engine it had or anything... we beat the shit out of it... i remember it was AWD tho cause we took it up a mountain lol. we used to drive around and hit mail boxes on purpose! stupid kids!
i drove mine in the winter... in AZ lol
this winter will be my first with the car back in NM. hopefully it wont suck as bad as im thinking it might.
O but this will be my first winter garaged too!
Yea ive thought about this whole AWD swap... it would take some serious $!
I would need to buy a AWD parts car right, maybe if i could find a complete one 1500-2500 .
Then i would have to find someone who knows what theyre doing to help me if not do it.
Then i would need $ for parts- like...
If i ever sold my car, I probably wouldnt buy another one. Ive had 3 eclipses. 1G GS 2.0nt 5speed, 2G GST spyder auto, 3g RS Fed Spec 5 speed- if i were to buy a "new" car it would either be a used 4g or something a little more "grown up"... Like a used 4 door under 15k, Maxima, Maybe a X-type...
Is there any outther putting out good HP with decent times?
I would eventually like to add an 3inch Cat-Back, FMIC, and maybe a 14b- with a few fuel mods (hopefully nothing that requires management). Is it worth it? Its not like im gonna go out tryn to race, but i would like to be able to hold...
