Yes! Side to side mounts contribute much more to "comfort", where as front/back are more about reducing engine movement under full torque.But I sure love the way that mounts looks and you can only see the DS mount :)

I race on 1/3 asphalt oval, doing "spectator drags".But I often considered building a 1G NT FWD DSM for their 2.0 class.

There are lots of cam options, but most of them are for forced induction, so I am not sure how it will work on NT.Your biggest power boost would come from raising your compression and tuning.

I got a chance to dyno my Summit last Friday. I got there with 390hp and eventually got up to 420hp. Both numbers are decent, but it can do BETTER! I am still loosing fuel pressure above 7k rpm! My next step is to get Aeromotive 340 pump. And see what happens…
