It depends on the yard. Our “original” local Pull-a-Part lists long blocks for $185 with a $20 core.LKQ seems to have increased prices on everything lately. That automatically tacked on additional cost for the warranty is ridiculous. For those that may not be aware - you do not have to...
Gotta ask - you’re positive that they aren’t 3/8” - 16?16 TPI equates to 0.0625 inch pitch, just larger than a metric 1.5mm pitch (0.06 inches). The diameter is too large for a M9 and too small for a M10. I’d expect the diameter to be slightly under the nominal measure (.375), though .364...
It’s the OEM MB631110 bumper with the “optional” MB631124 lip.It did look alright even though it had met too many parking blocks before getting to me. Shame on me, but I’m pretty certain I threw out the lip some time ago. Still have the bumper cover, just in case.
First is my brother's 1993 GS that he got in 2001. That's what got he and I into it -- more me than he at this point. He ended up selling that and picking up a 1996 3000GT base model before I found my first 1990 GS, around September 2003. My family still has this car around and it is...
True. Claudio was the tech we came to trust at our local dealership, while it was around. Learned quite a few things early on from him. 👍I’m really conjecturing over here and maybe shooting at nothing, but it was an interesting enough question. Now that I sit down for a minute and think...
Whoever figured it out made sure that the FSM, at least in later years, mentioned it. This screen grab is the ‘97 FSM. That note, interestingly enough, is not found in the ‘95 FSM.This is interesting and I’m not sure what to make of it. Perhaps this is the difference between the early ‘95...
Pardon my technical intrusion, for those who may be interested. This is for a 6-bolt. Assuming my model is correct and that I didn’t just model it to where this would work - the grenade pin method works because:The distance to the tip of the hydraulic tensioner to the center of the hole in...
I tend to agree with Paul. Looks like one of the plugs used to block off the access holes for the transmission mount bracket. Not a bad way to cover up a hole, either. Not to thread jack, but I saw this for the first time recently:Never even thought of putting a plug in the crank bolt...
Wrong bolt. The one you’re specifying is for mounting the hydraulic tensioner. The one inquired about is for the tensioner pulley, and barely cut off of your screen capture at the bottom.M10 x 1.25 x 33, flange bolt@dsmmario - worst case, use 35mm long hex bolt with a washer, though I’m...
Get them recoated? Price is going to depend on the coating; what I would look at first I wouldn’t expect it to be cheap. A little research may get you to something reasonable and worth trying if you want to hold on to them.
Search through old classifieds and see what they usually list / sell for. Or list it for sale at what you want to get out of it and see what happens. As always, “It’s worth what someone Is willing to pay for it.”
@Mr Russkiy - any further updates?See: Highest mileage for a 1G, where it was pictured showing 497,675. Three years ago.I’m trying but the past couple years didn’t help much. My goal is half a million; I’m sitting at ~365k. It’s only a couple timing belt changes away!
Probably a little too late - I could probably chop a piece of aluminum extrusion for you if you needed it. Hate to see that you have to print that whole thing!1.5” x 3”? Or 40mm x 80mm?Pretty certain I have 1.5 x 3” I could scrounge up.
High grades are generally structural. So it becomes pretty simple to narrow it down. ASA is pretty good with providing lengths. There are only a few pitches used throughout and the pitch will typically be the same across all fasteners of the same nominal diameter. It’s a resource. It can...
“Growing Up in East Harlem” was the magazine issue’s title. Ah, the benefits of parents hoarding NG from around that time! I had their copy located and will be taking possession of it soon, just for this ad.Thanks for posting!
This would be my approach exactly. :thumb:But I'm going to reach if I'm putting a number on it. $10k takes her home and I won't be the least bit sad.I won't be waiting up. LOL
I'm not sure I'll ever get the true, full story. I was 800+ miles away when it happened. Dad was driving "80mph in 4th gear" testing it out after changing some bad spark plugs and it let go on him. I think this was a picture he captured of it after he got out:
The fourth rod appeared to make it out "unscathed". It's pictured on the left below (7-bolt rod on the left compared to a 6-bolt rod on the right). The piston for that one did not.But still better than at least this one.
