Anyone have any experience instead of an opinion? I've been curious about this as well. I'm not going to back track to see how it works. Currently I've bypassed this stage of performance by a log shot and have dsmlink.
Curious as to how dsm shops/venders rank with everyone? I'm not looking to start a thread with people saying I don't like .... because. I'm looking for positive vendor feedback. If you had a bad experience don't post your experience. Just who you have had good dealings with and why if you'd...

The cavalier I'm currently driving was picked up for $150 and I drove the hell out of it. The first oil change was 15,000 miles later and the next, another 15,000 miles. After then I figured I might as well keep it I can't destroy it. What I'm getting to is the next few oil changes I used a...
Just got back from trying that and yes they do. 1st is useless! :) I noticed that the cable is about 1/2 to long. There is no adjustment on that cable, just the other one. I'm about to take some measurements and refer to this thread...
Just went to take it for a test drive and there was no 1st, 3rd or 5th. I just ordered a new shift cable because of the same issue. Any ideas? It is a 1g awd in a fwd if that makes a difference.
The alternator has been relocated and the car had started up probably 8 or 9 times since then. The wires were extended to reach the new location. But they were soldered, heat shrink was put on and the the on the full length of the extension was wrapped in electrical tape.
Here is a link to the...
Well... I'm not very good on the electrical side of things. With that being said I ran into a problem today. I started the car last week and everything was good. I go to wire up the fans and before I start I was going to check and see which wire was hot and which was ground as they are universal...
ya must hav 1 of thos pimp vtac motors yo!!
You got to be kidding me. WTFIn your profile your an ase master tech and have been running dsm's for 7 years. You can't spell or complete a sentence and on top of that you have no clue about ITB set ups.
Buying the largest injectors possible is a terrible idea without good tuneablity. Who needs 1600cc or 2150cc injectors anyways... shep and a few others. I had an 85% duty cycle on my 680cc injectors with my 20g @ 24psi. 750cc should be large enough for the average needs. Buy dsmlink or if you...
There are probably 20 to 30 better choices as far as turbos are concerned, with you power goals of course. My advice and probably may others will be to use the search option at the top of the page. 99% of your questions have been answered before. Also unless you have alot of money it's best to...
I just recieved an email back and the cost will be around $300 for everything. If anyone has any other ideas instead of paying $300 for this please post them up but if not she's getting shipped out next week.
To be honest with you I haven't tried it because one quarts isn't nearly enough to coat the whole take. On the back of the liner can it says that the one quart is enough to coat a 12 gallon tank. Well the 1g tank has several baffles inside the tank and would make it harder to coat, even with 3...
I wouldn't be putting primer in my tank in the first place. Gas would dissolve the primer in no time.
Here is a link to the tank prep and sealer I bought:

I've searched all parts stores in this location as well as most online parts stores. I did order a gas tank prep and refinish kit from Summit but it came with a quart of tank coating, not nearly enough. Maybe I'll just get the plasma cutter and cut in straight down the middle, spray some truck...
I have 3 parts cars. I have gas tanks but the 2 fwd's have rusted tanks and the awd won't work. Does anyone know of a place in North Carolina that will clean and coat gas tanks.
I've searched and searched and can't seem to find a 1g gas tank other than from the dealer, for $958! Does anyone know where I can get a new gas tank other than from the dealer?
The issue I'm having is with rust. I have 100's of hours and several thousand in the current build and the last...
If I have the parts. I'll let them go for $50 plus shipping. I believe I do but I'd have to double check when I make it home in a day or two. Drop me a pm if your interested.
Here is a link to a more up to date mod list and pics. Profile not updated as I thought.

My whole thing with changing over is ease of tuning. As mentioned before the new dsmlink will have speend density along with more rpm points to tune at. I was waiting for link v.3 to come out but found this deal on a new never touched AEM setup. Link has helped a few into the 9's and god only...
Valves are the same. Cames in the N/t cars have a slightly higher duration and lift.
As far as the swap goes, it's almost a direct bolt in except for the slight few differences the others have mentioned.
I just got AEM standalone less than a week ago. It's new never been installed, just taken out of the box and looked at. With that in mind I'm considering selling it and going to dsmlink. A few reasons.
#1 I don't trust myself enough to tune standalone. (don't mind paying)
#2 Free up some...
First off putting your car in gear is no substitution for the brakes. Your trans is fine. Drop it to the ground and break the wheels free or get someone to hit the brakes while you break the lug nuts free.;)
I believe he was talking about high 3's as far as horsepower range, as in 390hp or so. He's mostly looking for torque from what the post says. Torque also breaks parts but you own a dsm so it was gonna break sooner or later anyways.
Upgrades should always start with a good tuning tool. At least an afc. I spent around $3000 when I first got into dsms around 5 years ago, my biggest mistake because not a dime was invested into anything as little as an afc. Also switch over to a 2g maf or a maft, the maft (mass air flow...
Please do not post false information. Some make it over 400whp but most make it up to 400whp. The most anyone has made on an evo3 is 499whp. Also your first post in this thread showed your not a very knowledgeable individual. Walbro 255HP is not good until 700hp and voltage at the fuel pump has...
Didn't get much done but I did have a great idea for a catch can. See if ya'll can figure out what it is?
Anyone have any ideas as far as the gas tank goes?
Over here stealing is stealing and it's a shitty way to get your stuff. Like you said we don't live in the same country. So even if it can be justified over there you are still talking to us. You know the people in a different country and everything. And by the way it's not okay over here. :notgood:
There is no benefit at all. Well, none that I'm aware of. The reason I put it there is because all the intercooler piping is aluminum and the only place I had access to a tig welder was at the tech. At the time I welded the cast aluminum elbow shown in the first post I was taking a tig class. As...
After being lazy for a few months I'm back at it.I guess I can only post the pic once on this site. Here is the link to the homemade O2 housing. It's post #98.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/303969-holset-turbos-part-4-a-4.htmlI was able to cut a few small pie sections...
Wow dsm-onster. I was going to post about the same thing you did but you definatly covered it way better than I would have. Lots of good info. Only question I have is it off of an automatic or a manual. The auto would be an hy-35 and the manual would be an hx-35. Most hy-35's have a 9cm housing...
Sorry I might not have been clear. It's 9.5:1 afr @ wot in stock trim (if I'm not mistaken). So with this being said he should be okay to lean it out to around 10:1 or 10.5:1 with a few small mods.
With a stock car there is no need to add more fuel if anything you can turn the boost up slightly to lean her out some. If I'm not mistaken our cars run slightly rich in stock trim at wot. But I might be wrong, never had a stock dsm. ;)
