    There wont really wont be much of an issue regardless if he does or not. The numbers in my signiture vvv are on a stock bottom end 7 bolt eith unknown miles. Buddy of mine locally has been 10.0s on a stock 6 bolt. Really the crutial thing is the tune.

    My advice would be, if you've never driven or even ridden in a car with that much power, dont even bother. A dogbox CAN be driven on the street but can be very tricky.     Why would he have to source a new crankshaft if his original was from a manual car? The only difference I saw in mine was that the 5 speed crankshaft had dowel for the flywheel. I just removed that and everything went together like it was supposed to per the kiggly paper instructions.

    Since 1g cars all had the 4g I'd assume they had the same transmission regardless of turbo or non turbo. However Im not 100% on that. Although, Wolf alchemy's photo is of the correct fill plug for the transmission in the picture!!

    1G Can't get broken bolt out of rear main seal.

    I've never had a rear main leak with just a gasket. Where did the bolt break? Why not just take the seal housing off and grab it with some vice grips? Seems to me like you're making this job much harder by trying to do that with everything still assembled.

    For one, it looks like your crank sprocket is out a bit too far. Like its not even tight. Two, those definitely look like larger headed bolts than oem for sure. Its 2 am and I just went out to snap a pic of mine for you, and I have old craftsman sockets.

    Ermmmm They're factory with 12mm bolts. However I just use a deep well socket and a ratchet. Sometimes Ill grab a 3" extension. There really isnt a crazy secret to tightening them..
