Which thread are you responding to? That has nothing to do with the topic at hand.As someone else said, it depends on how well its built, and how well its tuned. If your just running a stock motor, set the rev limiter at what the factory has it at.
Well I personally wouldn't go with a knock off brand UDP, any imperfections could cause you trouble. The AFX isn't very expensive, I would just go with that. Thats just my opinion though.
The 4g63 is NOT a Chrysler engine. I don't know why that logo is "supposedly" there, but the 4g63 has been in use by Mitsubishi for a long time before they joined with Chrysler to make some sweet cars.
Definitely do not go with a 4g63 long block. The swap will not be like the Honda swaps you are used to, it takes heavy fabrication and isn't worth it. If you have a good amount of money, and are looking for performance, you could look at a built 420a longblock with forged internals just begging...
I may be able to help you out, I'll let you know. A friend of mine's brother has a 2g GS-T and I know he had a few extra ECU's he was selling and I am not sure if he sold them all yet. I'll get back to you.
Not to mention the 420a will be much faster. Running a quick search on this forum will show you exactly what people think about this swap, DON'T DO IT.
They stopped making the Type-S? I didn't know that, I always thought the Type RS was just an upper model BOV above the Type-S. I guess you learn something everyday :thumb:
Posting during the Report??? :nono: ROFLHe's right though, if you are on a budget, the 1g BOV is a great choice. If you have some money to burn, I know the 4g63 boys like the Greddy Type-s
You can use the turbo, BOV, and intercooler. But you need to search before you post questions, both here and 2gnt.com. This question has been answered thousands of times.
There are 2 different T-25's. Which engine do you have? If you have the 2.4L, I wouldn't even touch the 2g t-25, don't think that will be able to handle a 2.4L motor. If you have the V6 and are planning a twin turbo setup with 2 T-25's... That would be interesting. But I get the feeling you...
No, he is saying put the European 1st gen dsm non-turbo cams into your car because they are more aggressive. However, I do not know the validity of that statement.
First, I'd like to thank you for defending our freedom on foreign soil :thumb: Come home safeIf you are only looking for 300whp, the stock internals of the 4g63 should be able to handle that. If you have the extra cash, it wouldn't hurt to put aftermarket forged in, but for your goal it...
I would start with the manifold and downpipe gasket as I would think that a cat gasket leak would be hard to confuse with lifter tick, its pretty far away.
ROFL good stuffThat pic is missing a turbo :cool:Definitely check that. Evertime I start my car my friends ask "You got some lifter tick there?" Nope, just a big gap between my exhaust manifold and head :(
You dont want to tap the backlight wire to the cigarette lighter power wire, you want to tap it to the cigarette lighter light's power wire, which I believe is a green wire. That will turn the backlight on whenever the headlights are on. The purple wire of the A/f gauge goes to the white/black...
heres the way i see it. if your gonna sell your car for a turbo model, get a GSX. a GS-T your still stuck with FWD, and the price difference between a RS and a GS-T(atleast around here) is enough that i could rebuild my engine and turbo it and still have change left over. otherwise, stick with...
not only did he just say 25, he also threatend to make it 30... thats fishy.and as for radars, mine cost me $90 and probably has save me my license, along with big $$ in tickets. i owe that thing my life, time and againim up on the north side of chicago, had my car for nearly 2 years...
its sorta my own designs i guess, im not following any blueprint, but im just gonna make a basic log style manifold similar to the kit's manifolds, and then im just going to make the piping accordingly so it will fit with where the smic is mounted and what not. are you in auto class?Im up...
does your highschool have an auto shop? a mig or tig welder? then custom is the way to go by far. im in your exact situation and im doing just this, and im looking at it costing only $700, just because im fabricating everything. heres a price list so far:I have:T3-$100
Crushed 1g...
how did you do that? down hill?you should redline in 5th gear around 156 mph... but thats if you have enough power to get there. ive gotten mine to 130 but i ran out of road.
i think its a great idea. test it out, and make sure you dyno before and after, post both dyno sheets. he said he knew that it probably wouldnt work, so hes not going into it expecting amazing things. let him do it and stop being assholes. if he has the money and wants to try it, fine, the...
you know, you dont HAVE to have the stereo "bumping". i know im a 2g but ive had mine on for a while, 30% reduction and my volts stay at about 13.5 and everything runs fine. i notice my headlights will dim when im idleing and when i rev it they go right back up. its great
well i figured it out. the alternator belt started shreading. the thing is the new belts were just put on friday. the guy who put them on said he had some problems with the alternator tensioner. but it only ripped off the inside groove, and doesnt make noise anymore unless i go to high rpms. do...
