Dropping in cams will not get you barely any power gains. If i were you i'd follow the tech guide and go from there. When you get to the point where you want to make 350+ then cams can come in to play to help.http://www.dsmtuners.com/1g-dsm-turbo-upgrade-path
Ditch the safc and get dsmlink. Also get yourself some 1200cc injectors. With dsmlink the car will handle te big injectors very nicely, plus you will have room to grow in the future. And I would do a Walbro 255 at least. Also don't forget your other normal bolt one like fmic, intake and what...
My driver side front brake caliper went bad and I need to replace it as soon as possible and was wondering if a brake caliper from a 3000gt n/a will fit ?
I have a 1996 Eclipse Gsx.
No need to complicate it for him, I have friends who are at 450 and above on stock 1g and 2g throttle bodies, running 35r's and hx40's, cams and e85 and are making 450+, 500+.All he has to do is get a good set of 1200 or 12500cc's, e85, more boost and get it dyno tuned. Done.No need for race...
Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtunersAlso, stay away from ebay brand exhaust manifolds and turbos, they will fail quickly.
Your factory 2g exhaust manifold with a good porting would flow betetr and not crack compared to the flimsy megan one.And for 350, i would recommend upgrading to a...
CXRacing isn't a bad company.
There are certain things like their intercoolers and downpipes which are good to use. But when it comes down to something like the exhaust manifold, which is holding quite a good amount of weight from the turbo and o2 housing, you want something that will not crack...
You can go on ebay and find a kit that cxracing sells for $285 shipped that will let you keep your fog lights.
But for the t-25 you will have to fabricate a u-pipe or buy one online to make it work.
Other than that it is a straigh bolt on.Here is a link to it :Eclipse 4g63 Talon 2G 95 99...
If anything i just put up a hafe manifold up for sale in the classifieds.
It's got the big 7cm2 collector and wastegate provision. Great upgrade for cheap.
All you have to do is take off the bolt on the passenger side of the head and run a oil feed line from there, you will have to get the kit from any vendor, and then for oil return you can weld in a bung or get a turbo oil pan.
Other than that it's pretty much straight bolt on.
Don't forget fuel...
That's exactly the answer i was looking to see ! What a coincidence this was posted recently. Does mitsu have this piece or any other way i can fix this problem ?I used a piece of tape this morning and my cruise is indeed working perfect, until the tape comes off on the pedal acting as the...
The couplers suck, they are weak, and the coupler that connects the 4" side of the intake to the maf does not fit.At least mine didn't and i strecthed the crap out of it, it was not going to fit, i was going to upgrade them regardless cause i wasn't going to have my intake anyways in my...
I got me a ebay intake for my car, cost me $50 shipped. Came with couplers, clamps, maaf adapter and filter. The only thing i used was the pipe, i bought extremepsi couplers, vibrant maf adapter, and a k&n filter locally.Total came out to $120, saved me $30-$40 from extremepsi's...
Oh ok thanks for that info, now, my question is, where is the cruise control fuse located ? I have not found yet a picture or answer telling where it is.
Sorry for bringing up an old thread but i am also having this problem. The orange light turns on but not the green one.I have my clutch switch disconnected so i can turn my car on without having to depress the clutch, could this switch being disconnected cause my cruise control system to not...
I have had the vrsf fmic kit on my previous gst and i am currently running the pr kit on my current dsm, both kits are good, but as always, each has their cons.Pr kit lets you keep your fogs and is really easy to install, the vrsf kit requires you to relocate your coolant overblow bottle and...
You don't need a stroker to make 400hp, stock block can handle that.
I am assuming you were running it without any fuel system or tune ? If so, you most likely were running lean as hell and knocking up the arse.
I recommend you first upgrade your fuel system and get something to tune/log your...
OR, have just kept producing the 14b's :rolleyes:I also agree with mjbean. A t25 will have a bit more flow but not even noticeable enough to be worth the hassle to swap over to.Think of it this way, with your 13g, you have a turbo that uses the same parts a td05h 14b/16g turbo would use...
As mentioned above, you're set for the 16g so just save up and shoot for that. In the meantime, you can even start upgrading your fuel system as of now, regardless you will have to do it anyways sooner orlater, that way you can push that 14b and then when it's begged for mercy, upgrade to the...
So then i have the right maf..
But about the flow part, i compared the maf i took off the galant and a 2g one and they both have the exact same honeycombs and all, how will it flow less ?
Sorry to bring an old thread up, i am running a maf off a 96-98 galant, it has the 609 on it, is this correct ?
I ask cause my car is having a rich issue and wonder if maybe i had the wrong maf in it.
I'm pretty sure it would, it's up to him, it's just a simpler option i was giving.Daniels, it would be simpler to remove it, but think about emissions testing, not sure if that is the best choice, unless you have aa waay around it when test time comes.
Removing it is easy, buy an egr blockoff plate from ebay, yank out all vacuum lines and cap off the nipples on the throttle body. The only vacuum lines you will need to run is the intake manifold to bov and the one from the intake mnaifold to your fuel pressure regulator. Done.
If the shop told you that i suggest you go to another shop. 3" exhaust piping DOES work over the axle.
Have 2 friends running it this way.
You can also always run it under the axle, just be careful over speed bumps if you're dropped. Otherwise you're fine.
Looks like the one i previously bought, only mine was silver.
Only way to tell is to open the diaphragm.
As long as it sounds good and holds boost then why complain.
If he were to swap out the compressor wheel too he would literally have a 16g turbo, lol.
Hope you enjoy the 14b, i have one myself but i plan to port it and see what it does :).
No you must've misunderstood, maybe i'm not explaining it right.
On a 1g, there are 2 little nipples, they are hidden bellow the water neck, vacuum lines used to go there, i will see if i can get a pic of what i'm talking about either tonight or tomorrow.
Not saying it is the culprit of his...
There is nothing bad with removing the emissions system.
By any chance, did you forget to block off the 2 small ports on the thermostat housing ? There are 2 nipples there that used to have vacuum lines coming off of it, re-check to make sure you capped those off.
In the underhood fusebox, you will see a yellow plastic cover on the left lower side that beneath it lies 2 red 10amp fuses, just lift up the yellow plastic plug, don't take it off, and leave it up for a minute, then push it back down.
Let me know how it goes.
How would you guys go about cleaning up the system when it "clogs up" ? Is it true the fuel filter must be replaced somewhat often ?
And it is a must to replace the old fuel lines with new bigger lines ?
This is an interesting subject, i'm pretty interested.
Yeah i understand justin, makes perfect sense.
My exh mani has no cracks whatsoever, it is good, i guess i'll just port it later down the road when i upgrade.
Thanks for the help guys.
Sorry to revive this thread up some more, i am currently running a 14b turbo, might go evo3 16g or if not fp 68hta when the 14b gives up.
I was thinking if i should keep my stock 2g mani and just have it ported or get something like a hafe/sbr manifold or evo3 ?
I really don't see the need to...
Your abs light might be getting triggered due to maybe a bad contact somewhere in the line or a broken or faulty sensor in one of the wheels.
You can always delete the whole system if you'd like, stm sells a nice kit :
STM ABS DELETE KIT | 95-99 DSMI'm not saying you should, abs is a very...
