The short block has around 300 miles on it, The head has 5 miles if that. The car has been running in my driveway for a little while. Also update the smoke has died down some after I took it for a drive.

Yeah had everything in the head changed out. Put all new supertech valves,guides,springs and guide seals. I have been letting the car run more doesn't smoke as bad but still smokes. I think the new turbo cut down on some of the oil going into the exhaust.

Well the head was rebuilt and the motor was just rebuilt and the surfaces where both decked also I replaced the 4 layer metal hg with a composite. The head has all new parts and so do the bottom end.

Well new update on the car. I replace the ofh and lowered the oil pressure. Seemed to help out a little car still has a little oil coming from the exhaust ports. The smoking went down quit a bit but still smoking. I have been running the car for a while it still hasn't improved much but not...

I thought of that but all four doing the same thing? I am going to run it for a while and see what happens.

Well car updated didn't get a chance to start the car yet hopefully doing it this weekend. If this dones work any other suggestion on what could be the problem? One more question if the motor sat for a while without running do the rings need to be reseated even though there is 300 miles or so on...

That was checked at the oil filter housing, so I think that is helping push oil pass the rings also the rings really never set fully. I reconnected the line on the vc to the air intake also cleaned out the pcv. So I am going to put that on this weekend and let the car run for a while to see what...

Well an update on my car did an oil pressure test. I am see 115 pso on start up. I am going to prt my ofh and relocate the turbo line as I was told. Then I am going to run the car for a while.

Yeah the head was pressure tested so I was told. I might think it might be high oil pressure. I am going to check that this weekend.

Does anyone else have an Idea what this could be I have talked to a few different people and they are stumped. What I don't understand car never smoked after rebuild and all of sudden the turbos dies and I am have all these issues.

No I haven't but when the motor was fisrt built it never smoked.I was thinking of something with oil pressure.Like I said it never smoked until the turbo died on me then thats when all of this started.

The oil return line is new I had to replace it with the new turbo.Iam also out of ideas. Thanks for the sugestions Ill keep checking back.

It has been few months of no progess. I bought a brand new turbo from precision turbos. I figured this would fix my problem no it still has oil coming out of the exhaust ports. I can't thinks of anything else. Does any one know how many exhaust studs are in oil or water in the head. I thoguht...

Now a few days later nothing. The place I bought it from says it is out of warranty. So now I am looking to buy a turbo. I really don't know what direction I want to go in. I want about 350-500 whp. I think I am going with a different turbo this time. I may end of getting a greddy or garrett...

There was in the layers of the headgasket. There was oil on the valve face. The valve guide seals look good no cuts or anything.

Finally pulled the head. I noticed that there was oil on top on the block and bottom of the head gasket. no coolant (none in car). The head gasket was stuck to the bottom of the head b/c of the copper spray. So I am taking that the headgasket didn't seal Correct.

Only reason I asked people have done it with using arp head studs. I will put it on without it then.

Well I had a different person rebuild this head. It is the same head that I took off the car with all new parts. I know this is an on going question should I use copper spray on the oem gasket or not?

The pvc valve is a oem one from Mitsu. It is brand new so I don't think that is the problem. I am not really sure what to do next. I am thinking about the head off the car again to see if that is the problem.

Is it possible that I am getting to much oil pressure? The oil pump(stock) is new.

I will look at that tonight didn't get to do a leak down test last night bc of rain. Also this is like second head that I put on this car and doing the same thing. Last head I put on the guides and valve seals were no good after having a basic head job done. I will keep you updated.Alright...

When I had the head off last time I looked at the cylinder walls there was no scaring. The bottom end only has around 400 miles on it. Thats the funny thing this car never smoked until I had a turbo go bad.

Still waiting to do the leak down test haven't had time. I will update when test is complete.

I am going to do a leak down test tongiht or tomorrow night when I get off of work. Then I will post the results of what I find.

I noticed that the vavle guides were lubed up alot. I could see the red grease on the valves through the exhust ports. Also i used the blue viton seals.Both lines for the turbo are braided steel lines. The turbo is new. My question then if the valve were lubed up quite a bit would that allow oil...

I looked at the valve stems seals. They seemed to be installed correctly. I didn't see any cuts or anything on them. The ports were wet so it was kinda of hard to tell where the oil is coming from. I didn't see any oil in the cylinders. Is it possible to run this car without the turbo manifold...

I didn't put any coolant in the car it ran for about 10 seconds then I shut it off. I wanted to see if it was going to smoke or not. If it didn't smoke I would have put some in the car.

I hope he didn't I called him he is supposed to come check it out. All he does is cylinder heads and also he build heads for different races teams. I think I am leaning towrads the metal hg didn't seal correctly around the oil ports.

They are brand new.Also these pictures were taken after I cleaned(w/ break clean) some of the oil off the block. I am going to double check the torque on the bolts on the headstuds.Is it possible to have good compression and have the oil leak through the hg?

You make a good point. There isn't a way to test them is there.

The vavle guides weren't replaced. I aked the machine shop and they said they were fine.

Yes the problem wasn't fixed after the new guide seal install also I have stock springs.

Well the turbo died and caused the other head to leak oil. I torqued them down to 90 ft pounds with arp molly lube, yes the head and block where nice and cleaned. Spark plugs had oil on them. The head was checked for crackes. It was decked. If the head gasket wasn't holding up would not have...

When the car ran it smoked ,but it didn't miss or stall out it sounded really good. I think it is something in the head b/c there is oil on the plugs and plus when I ran the car I cleaned the exhaust ports and valve and noticed there was oil leaking down on the valves.

The seals I used where oem(mitsu) light blue color. The ones I took out where felpro9 brown) and they had cuts on all 16 of them. I hope they installed valve guides the correct way.

Thats what I had done to the head. I just noticed that is was leaking a little again so I am going to put the timing belt on and see what happens.

i just had a head rebuilt and the valve guides are no good I looked at them and there are cuts in them. Having that many miles I would thing that it is the valve guides or the valve stems.
