I did check the crank for scoring and saw nothing. I’ve seen several engines and this 4g is the first I see with such a thin casting for the thrust washer. To me it seemed some what incomplete.
This part of the block has got me iffy as it seems very thin. I saw some pics of another block but can’t tell if it’s normal. Surface is where the thrust bearing sits.
Thanks for the replies. Yes I was planning on going .020 over but now will be waiting to see what my machinist says. I bought the engine used just to get it running and dropped it in.

In the process of rebuilding my engine I stripped everything down. Inspecting the block cylinder 2-3 have wall damage. It feels like ribbed grooves. Did 2-3 run too hot? 1&4 are good.
