2G FEEDBACK - Center Console Switch Panel/Cup Holder

I’ve always wanted to make a switch panel to replace the ash tray, haven’t gotten around to it yet. Great work!

    Let's See Your Personalized Plates!

I'm sure I am not the only one running a personalized license plate, so lets see them! I love custom plates, it is fascinating how creative some people are able to get with theirs! Feel free to post the description/reasoning behind your plates too if you wish!I'll start it off, mine is pretty...

    2g LED Headlight Bulbs

+1 Projector headlights can be purchased for cheap, but I recommend retrofitting a set of OEM headlights. This is what really changes the light output of the headlights. It is more expensive to retrofit an OEM pair, but in my opinion it is worth every penny.Hey thanks!
  7. Techn0Nut1996

    2g LED Headlight Bulbs

Light output is good, better than stock. As far as adjusting them, do you mean the positioning of the light output? If so it is the same as OEM.

    2g LED Headlight Bulbs

i Just did a plug and play HID kit, was as easy as plugging them in. Only thing I had to do to the headlight was drill a hole in the back of the plastic cover to allow the wires though. The kit even had a rubber grommet on the wires to prevent moisture build up. IF you can drill two holes you...

    Front Grill (no fab required)

^ That is that I did to my car back in HS after a rock took a nice chunk out of my radiator, was very easy to do and worth the time and effort rather than spending more than $20 on a pre-made one.

    Custom Vents w/ Guages

I would be if it was an exact replacement, but all of the ones that I have seen have the same issue. So far no one has really been able to replicate the texture of the OEM vents.

Tried something new for my engine bay...

It looks pretty good, but how hard does this make it to clean the engine bay? I'd imagine dirt and grime likes to hide and grip into the texturized finish.

    2G body kit talk

^^This is the key. There are some guys who want to relive the early 2000's street racer style and honestly good for them, not my style but I respect the work that goes into doing it right. But the majority of the DSMers love the way their car looks from the factory. In fact the only real thing I...

You wouldn't go wrong with either, They would both look good on the Monarch color

    2G Replacing Headlights, what?

Yea just take your bumper off, its 7 bolts. It would be so much easier to take the bumper off, remove the headlight, and reinstall everything than it would be to try and finagle your hands/sockets in weird angles.

    2G Replacing Headlights, what?

I had wondered about those as well, but not for the whole bumper.. I guess that's an idea I didn't think of.

2G Vrsf front mount bumper solution

Boosted fab, worth every penny.. Direct bolt on, I had them installed in 15 minutes. Check out my dsm build thread post #21 to see some pictures of them. https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/dsm-in-dsm.517151/ . I'd recommend getting them sooner rather than later because it'll start putting...

    2G custom tail light help

For the air bubbles, use a brand new #11 x-acto blade to gently pop the bubble and use your finger to press the air out starting from the outermost area and working your way inwards towards the hole. You just have to be careful not to cause any ripples or folds, and if it is a big bubble you...

    2G custom tail light help

100% would recommend vinyl, way easier to use and much quicker. Plus like post #2 states it is easily removable if you change your mind or mess up the installation. Only thing I would suggest is to check a couple brands and see which ones let the least amount of light through, cheaper vinyl can...

    Wheel spacers

Go out to your car with a tape measure and measure how far out you'd like to bring your wheel out, that will be how big of a spacer you want to get. Make sure the lug pattern on the spacer is 114.3mm as well, as that is what your lug pattern should be. They do tend to reduce the life of the...

    2G Would this stereo fit?

I see all kinds of people running double din radios in these cars, I would be surprised if it didn't fit. Depth shouldn't be an issue, there's a decent amount of room back there. Last time I had my headunit out I was surprised at how much room there actually was.

    2G Repairing body damage

Glad to hear the frame is ok. Good luck with the body work, I hope you have some previous experience or are very persistent. I have found that bodywork is an art and I am no artist. Keep us updated!

    2G Carpet

Looks way better! At first I was also going to suggest the carpet dye or a good cleaning since I have had great luck with both these methods at work but after seeing the second before and after picture I think you made the right call. Did you install it yourself? If so how much of a pain was it?

    LED headlight bulbs

I have been wanting to upgrade my headlights and have been bouncing back and forth between LEDs and HIDs. I really only have experience with HIDs and with those quality is everything. For those of you running LEDs is this still the case or is it not as big of a deal?

    2G Removing paint from taillights

I just did the same except with removing night shade. I used sandpaper and a headlight restoration rubbing compound. The order of the sandpaper was: 320, 400, 500, 800, 1000, 3000, then the 2 step rubbing compound for a super clear OEM finish. Took me about 6 hours to wet sand and do all 3...

    Plugs for Spoiler Holes

I wish there was another easy option rather than the plastic/rubber plugs. I don't like them at all. I always told myself if I removed the spoiler I would weld in plugs and then wrap/paint the trunk to match the rest of the car. A lot more work though..

    2G Carbon Fiber Hood Visuals

I have always wondered about CF hoods using the factory latch. I have seen a lot of people install hood pins because they say the latch doesn't line up right, thank you for posting the company name and your experience. I really like the CF hoods but I hate hood pins so I'm glad to know that they...
