Definitely go with a wider wheel width and larger tire for handling improvement. I beleive your close to stock wheel specs from factory. As far as rubbing, no, you'll be fine. Run 18x10.5 wheels then start to worry.
To clear brembos with rpf1s you have to either run a low offset and risk having the wheels poke, or run small width such as 7.5-8" Rpf1s that have the concave look.Ive had two sets of rpf1s and my 17x9s did not clear my brembos because they had a flat face. I later went with 18x8.5s and...
Sometimes less is more. Get yourself some nice oz rally black leather interior for the best look. Leds, painted plastic and other "original" add ons look extremely tacky imo.
Nice and expensive wheels! Depends on what your purpose is for the car. 17x9+30 would give you a nice functional look. If youre going for a wide stance look, get wider wheels.
They would look good with the right width and offset. I hate to be THAT guy, but avoid getting fake wheels and save up for some wheels that have research and development behind them.

The original car to run these was AJ's (Owner of the black Dsm up top) He has then made more sets for a couple of dsmers. Carbonetics has recently come out with replicas made from Zg flares. Definitely more of a fad since most of the dsms that run these do not cut their panels to actually make...
I used to run a windshield sticker. Had to remove the windshield wipers for it to look passable and got alot of negative attention from police. I would advise against them. Sometimes less is better.
