2G fuel leaking from left cylinder

Ok you have all new but is all working?,Ok this is how things gets easier to find. Check to see if you have fuel, you can hear the fuel pump kicking in when you turn the key to the on position (no cranking) it will turn on for 3,5 seconds, then it will turn off, if you don’t here this noise...

2G fuel leaking from left cylinder

I don’t know about the Mighty Max MPI, but what makes you think is bad?, is the clicking noise coming out of the Mpi relay? Do you have run an overall test to see what is getting or what not, like fuel or spark, I know it was running before but things can happen while working on it. Does the...

2G fuel leaking from left cylinder

Unplug one injector while is running and check on the leak, do the same process on every injector and the leak should stop once you unplug the bad injector.

    2G Hacked engine harness

People usually hack the wiring when doing a 6 bolt engine swap., but if you have a 7 bolt then you don’t need any harness, just fix the one you have.Looks like the OP cut the wires weren’t using to make the engine bay cleaner. The 95,96 uses two connectors in the same locations (like yours)...

    2G Hacked engine harness

Those two connectors are for the cam and crank sensors. Take a pic to the complete la engine bay to see what you have overall. Is this a 7 or 6 bolt block, any information will be good to know what is going on, or better say to know what the old OP did to it.

2G weird noise from valve cover/connector identify

One connector is for the fuel pump and the other is for the timing.

    2G GSX fuel tank question

You can let it vent to the atmosphere or ad the valve to it, if you don’t have any smog stuff, then you can even add the valve at the end of the hose, you don’t have to run it all the way to the engine bay.

2G Trying to sort out (new to me) swapped 2G GSX

MMy moded car is rewired and triggered by the factory wire pump, it turns on right when the key turns to the ON position and it stays On for a couple of seconds and turns off right after, it turns ON every time the key turns ON for a couple of seconds, I can see fuel pressure on my fuel gauge...

2G Trying to sort out (new to me) swapped 2G GSX

If you are building 55 of fuel pressure, then your problem is not fuel related, unless the fuel is old.I would check the timing see if it’s right on.

2G Trying to sort out (new to me) swapped 2G GSX

To figure out the fuel system, put a vise plier on the return line so it doesn’t allowed fuel to return, then open the switch and close it for several times. Every time you turn the switch to the ON position (without cranking it) you turn on the fuel pump to prime the line and build pressure, if...

Using a 99 GST to build my 99 GSX

The fuel tank won’t be that bad but a clean would be nice to put some fresh fuel. The gsx fuel tank is rubber which it builds no rust, on the other hand, the gst fuel tank is metal, that will build rust like hell.Post some pics of the cams to see how deep is the rust, if it’s very light, a...

    420A Turn signal oddity

I caught the flasher being bad, it’s more a bulb, check the side markers, swap the left to the right bulb and see if it changes,You should focus on the bulbs itself. What car is it happening on?, is a 1g, 2g or talon, the talon has a different system them the eclipse.

2G GSX High Pressure Fuel Line Compatibility

If money is the problem, I would take the hose to a hydraulic shop, they can change the hose using the same ends (IF they don’t have new) they can even add a universal rotary swivel and you will end up having an OEM quality part with the advantage of be able to remove just the top side and not...

    6 Bolt Front Cover

Grooves in the oil pump area is more like grooves on the crank journal, that’s extra room where the oil pressure can escape, if the groove is very minimal, it can be trusted but not recomendable. The more recomendable way to check is, check for clearance between the case surface and the gears...

    6 Bolt Front Cover

Those grooves looks deep for an oil pump, I would replace it with a new oneor even a used one with no scratches.

2G '96 gsx transfer case help

No you don’t have to remove nothing, (if the leak is coming from the top). If it’s dripping on the boot then, check the valve cover gasket, they can leak and drip down and run along the bell housing, when you check it out, don’t just look from the top, but run you fingers on the back of the...

1G 7 bolt oil pump cover on a 6 bolt

I would still use the case and use a dial gauge to find TDC and make a permanent mark on the case for future timing guide.

What is this called / Where does this go / What does this do? [MERGED]

OP you are correct with the second pic, the way they work, you swap them with the factory one and the center section moves side to side, that’s what makes the adjustments for the Custer. They are for a 2g front upper arms.

    2G Headlight circuit meltdown

Yes, that is most likely to happen. Just fix all the wiring and remove the headlight relay, once you hook up the battery and see all is good, place the relay and pay attention in the wires, but to be honest, I would replace the relay or even swap it for a minute, just to try it at the beginning...

    2G Headlight circuit meltdown

Ha ok, I got it. There is no way that wire to produce such current to be able to melt the way it did, Another wire might get in touch with it and did the disaster. The way it didn’t blue the fuse is, because that wire is not fused, it still in the headlight circuit but because is only a...

  46. miguelmcv

    2G Headlight circuit meltdown

No idea why the fuse didn’t blew, but if you might have the wire getting contact with another one, you have to trace the wires and see if where is the fault, also you have to change the wire completely which is all ready burned and will not be able to carry the current the head light needs.

2G Brand New Axle Seals Leaking

Maybe you damaged when inserting the axles in. If you didn’t lubricate the seals before inserting the axles, you might damaged them, also when you don’t insert the axle all the way in and rest the axle on the seal, it damage the seal some times.
