Ok you have all new but is all working?,Ok this is how things gets easier to find.
Check to see if you have fuel, you can hear the fuel pump kicking in when you turn the key to the on position (no cranking) it will turn on for 3,5 seconds, then it will turn off, if you don’t here this noise...
I don’t know about the Mighty Max MPI, but what makes you think is bad?, is the clicking noise coming out of the Mpi relay?
Do you have run an overall test to see what is getting or what not, like fuel or spark, I know it was running before but things can happen while working on it.
Does the...
Unplug one injector while is running and check on the leak, do the same process on every injector and the leak should stop once you unplug the bad injector.
Are you loosing any coolant?.
You mention you have one fan and is keeping up but, is the fan turning on so frequently, or is it ON all the time?, Give more details so we can get to the problem easier.
People usually hack the wiring when doing a 6 bolt engine swap., but if you have a 7 bolt then you don’t need any harness, just fix the one you have.Looks like the OP cut the wires weren’t using to make the engine bay cleaner.
The 95,96 uses two connectors in the same locations (like yours)...
Those two connectors are for the cam and crank sensors.
Take a pic to the complete la engine bay to see what you have overall.
Is this a 7 or 6 bolt block, any information will be good to know what is going on, or better say to know what the old OP did to it.
You can let it vent to the atmosphere or ad the valve to it, if you don’t have any smog stuff, then you can even add the valve at the end of the hose, you don’t have to run it all the way to the engine bay.
MMy moded car is rewired and triggered by the factory wire pump, it turns on right when the key turns to the ON position and it stays On for a couple of seconds and turns off right after, it turns ON every time the key turns ON for a couple of seconds, I can see fuel pressure on my fuel gauge...
To figure out the fuel system, put a vise plier on the return line so it doesn’t allowed fuel to return, then open the switch and close it for several times.
Every time you turn the switch to the ON position (without cranking it) you turn on the fuel pump to prime the line and build pressure, if...
The fuel tank won’t be that bad but a clean would be nice to put some fresh fuel. The gsx fuel tank is rubber which it builds no rust, on the other hand, the gst fuel tank is metal, that will build rust like hell.Post some pics of the cams to see how deep is the rust, if it’s very light, a...
I caught the flasher being bad, it’s more a bulb, check the side markers, swap the left to the right bulb and see if it changes,You should focus on the bulbs itself. What car is it happening on?, is a 1g, 2g or talon, the talon has a different system them the eclipse.
You mention is in a stock form, you checked the downpipe but what about the catalytic converters, did you inspected too?..I have had some clogged on me and some gets noisy but others don’t, I would check that out.Just to mention, autos feel heavy on the take off compared to manuals, I have...
Don’t forget to post the process, what you did and how you did it, that will help myself and others in the future when it comes to change the lines.looking good, keep it up.
If money is the problem, I would take the hose to a hydraulic shop, they can change the hose using the same ends (IF they don’t have new) they can even add a universal rotary swivel and you will end up having an OEM quality part with the advantage of be able to remove just the top side and not...
Grooves in the oil pump area is more like grooves on the crank journal, that’s extra room where the oil pressure can escape, if the groove is very minimal, it can be trusted but not recomendable. The more recomendable way to check is, check for clearance between the case surface and the gears...
Like you are bro, and wellcome back.
Good you post it, for those who are just starting to learn this platform, and get conscience how importan a timing job before anything when buying a dsm.Good luck with your ride and keep it up.
No you don’t have to remove nothing, (if the leak is coming from the top).
If it’s dripping on the boot then, check the valve cover gasket, they can leak and drip down and run along the bell housing, when you check it out, don’t just look from the top, but run you fingers on the back of the...
OP you are correct with the second pic, the way they work, you swap them with the factory one and the center section moves side to side, that’s what makes the adjustments for the Custer. They are for a 2g front upper arms.
That’s a sonata oil pump which has the crank sensor provision and it bolts on to the 6 bolt block, But for sure, that’s not a 7 bolt oil pump.
The 7 bolt has a curve at the lower section of the case.Edit it’s not a sonata front case, It’s a mighty max front case. I just clearing up my...
I have never, ever gone into a leaking/damaged water pump, they all have hold till I get the timing belt replacement.
But, I have always bought OEM water pumps, the only one I have bought that’s not OEM is a gate water pump and didn’t have work let ether.
Non abs and abs models came with the same engine harness.
The abs model came with the same body harness but it has some extra wiring for the abs, so saying that you can plug and play any abs with a non abs harness.Fuse box, and ngine harness and all the rest is the same.Just remember, we are...
yea now that we know is in the hoist, We can look for the hoist itself and automatically will come with the little bracket on It.
Thank you for the I formation part number, that will help a lot.Thank you to take the time and look for the part, that confirm what 19eclipse90 suspect, and...
Yes that’s the one I’m looking for, I think mine is from a different year or for a 4g63 NT.I will have to get the racket off the car to see it better and see if maybe the little bracket/holder broke maybe?
Well, my hoist doesn’t has the bracket, but it has a hole all they on the bottom, wondering if the bracket bolts down to the hoist, if that’s the case, then is totally separate bracket. Now looking at it, I’m wondering if I have the right hoist, but I doubt it’s a 2ga hoist. If anyone has...
I don’t know if it’s part of the hoist but if it is, I’ll double check, The hoist is there but I couldn’t see the bracket where holes the knock connector.Thank you 19eclipse90 for the information.I’ll post back my finding once I get back home.
Maybe yours is missing too:argue:Check where is the connector holding to, might be laying down on top of the wiring harness, like mine is:beatentodeath:
Hey Josh, yes I need the 2gb knock sensor bracket, but I just can’t find it used nor new, the problem is I can’t even find the actual name of the bracket so no luck on finding it.If you have it would be nice.,Im bringing the talon back to stock and putting the missing parts back in.
Does anyone know the part number of the 2gb knock sensor bracket?.In a 2ga is located where the 2gb cam sensor location is.In a 2gb the bracket was moved between the cam sensor and the inlet of the fuel rail.I have a 2ga bracket but is not the same bracket as the 2gb., does some one knows...
Is only one engine harness, one body harness which is for the headlight, SRS sensors etc etc.The once that came with ABS system has an extra harness that attaches to it, it runs in the passenger side inner fender, but that’s IF is ABS equipped.
I just bring my talon back to life after a week and a half, and that same thing happened to me, I was nervous when I saw all the water and air coming out, I even rive the engine a bit and throw out a lot of air and water.I have some funnels and I cut one up And put it on, I cut it so it can...
Yes, that is most likely to happen.
Just fix all the wiring and remove the headlight relay, once you hook up the battery and see all is good, place the relay and pay attention in the wires, but to be honest, I would replace the relay or even swap it for a minute, just to try it at the beginning...
Ha ok, I got it.
There is no way that wire to produce such current to be able to melt the way it did, Another wire might get in touch with it and did the disaster. The way it didn’t blue the fuse is, because that wire is not fused, it still in the headlight circuit but because is only a...
No idea why the fuse didn’t blew, but if you might have the wire getting contact with another one, you have to trace the wires and see if where is the fault, also you have to change the wire completely which is all ready burned and will not be able to carry the current the head light needs.
In order to verify the base timing, you have to remove the front cover to see the sprocket mark and compare with the cam gear Mark’s, otherwise, it will lie based on the front cover mark.
Maybe you damaged when inserting the axles in.
If you didn’t lubricate the seals before inserting the axles, you might damaged them, also when you don’t insert the axle all the way in and rest the axle on the seal, it damage the seal some times.
