Hi, I thought I would share as this requires no drilling and 100 percent directly bolts up to our chassis for 8 dollars.
Having a FMIC I needed to get rid of my factory tank.Part number at O'Reillys is: MCR3
The bracket it comes with is flat but I bended it to pull the tank towards the...
Ok this was a mind lover. It was added but was thrown off as it was soldered in neatly making me think it could have been a factory wire unlike the other trash wiring he did.
Can anyone confirm how many sensor ground wires should be in that bundle ?
I’m understanding 4 wires but not sure and need verification. Mine had 5 but want to make sure before I snip it out.And reason for my harness being spliced there is because he seems to have had a wide band sensor...
Thank you for the response. I went ahead and removed the electrical cap and it looks as if the one wire is factory. I know it’s spliced into a aftermarket harness. I’m stumped on where it originally went.
Just got back my center diff from Jacks yesterday. I ended up just doing the Torrington Bearing Upgrade. Doing the assembly today so figured id post the specs for the center diff incase anyone is having trouble finding them.
Id take an air hose and spray the fuel lines from the tank to the fuel filter hose.
Also if fuel pressure is dropping there must be a leak somewhere. Likely internally if you're not smelling anything.
Hey guys. I previously had a rear tires locking thread that I resolved for a few months. I ended up rebuilding the transfer case with same issues. I replaced the rear differential (upgraded to lsd while at it) and my issues were resolved.FFWD to now my front tires started locking above 30...
Thanks for your input. The pump actually stopped locking up after removing the gear housing bolts and reinstalling snugly and Not torqued (although still notchy). Im sure the issue lays within that housing. I’m still terrified of this pump tho and will not risk using it haha.
Doing a full rebuild because the cylinder walls on 2-3 were damaged. Acl pump was replacement as maintenance even tho oem didn’t have issues.Engine is in the process of being completed and getting ready to drop in.That acl pump has only been turned by hand and wasn’t ever installed on my...
Gears are clean and with no scoring. There is zero debris. I’m in the process of cleaning my old oil pump gasket off when you asked for pics and had a semi clean/dirty micro towel to clean off the assembly lube off the new front case cover. Needless to say I will be reusing my oem one...
Gears were pre lubed with assembly lube. She feels good when the gears are fully packed. But after a few rotations and the lube starts to dissipate it starts locking up. The pump locks without the stubby as well.Oem spins smoothly with out the stub and with the
stub.All this is before...
Thank you for the reply. I was under the impression my alldata values were incorrect as everyone on here is running loose. I couldn’t find anyone mentioning the factory specs. But then again no one on here is keeping their vehicle factory haha.
I'm looking up Ring end gap on Alldata and its giving me these values.
My current measurements on 1st ring are .406mm (.016in)
2nd ring is coming in at .559 (.022in)
Is that too much on the tight side?
Plans for the car are to stay on factory T25.
I'm using factory replacement pistons.
That’s the largest gap on the vehicle which seemed excessive to me. All the other body gaps look normal. There are no alignment issues but I don’t remember it being that spaced from all the dsms I’ve had. Everything is symmetrical and feel I’m being paranoid but figured I’d still ask. It’s been...
Wondering if this gap is normal amongst these cars. I haven’t measured with a caliper but this looks very large. I haven’t had a dsm in a bit either and don’t remember it being this large.
Dang boss!!! I think you got it and have put my mind at ease. 10 years on these forums and back again and this site is just as quick even as these babies age. This site just proves how amazing dsm owners are. These cars will never be a thing in the past. Plenty of love sent out to this forum and...
It’s a 5 speed. I’m really hoping it’s not part of the dsm. I’ve never seen what’s inside this glove box and hoping it’s from a different vehicle. It’s a 1/8th inch cable.
If it’s not too much to ask can you maybe add a line where it goes?Worst case I’ll hit up the junk yard tmrw and see where I find it on the car I pulled the dash from.
Will I have to pull the dash ? :(
Appreciate the speedy response. Also I will add I still have the cable connected to the recirculating switch. The one that toggles left and right on the hvac console.
Just did a black dash swap on my 97 gsx and I saw this on the passenger floor when mounting my glove box.If you know what it’s for please advise.
Hoping it belongs somewhere else and was just sitting in the glove box from PO.Thanks
