I have a 90 non turbo 4g63. Had issues with my transmission making noises and grinding when shifting but goes into gear and still driveable. Now that Im in the process of taking apart the car for a paintjob I'm not sure if this is the correct transmission for this. I was expecting to see F5M22...
Keep what you got if its working and tune for a bite more spool up. You will want a bite more power down the line anyway as most do, so allows for a bit more room to grow but you will be restricted by the turbine housing anyway so not much more air you can get in without issues getting it out
Br6es for 10psi is fine. As @Spleen8urLSX mentioned, it's the factory plug and stock was more boost than you're running (now...)
The slightly hotter nature may help keep it clean of carbon easier due to the more obstructive heat dissipation path but br7es will generally do just fine too.If...
I wasn't certain if the whole inner volume was different and made it more efficient for larger pumps or not. I'm a little baffled why my 1/8" hole wasn't as effective as others' and I'm only running a walbro 350.. 6an feed, stock return.I will have to investigate further, maybe I have a...
2G front/rear strut bars
(Not separating)$150usd shipped lower 48/canada
If you want it shipped somewhere else let me know I’m sure I won’t be that much to add on top I’ll split it with you
NGK br7es (non protruding tip) would be the plug you want to go with. Br6es is the original plug and at that low of boost from that small of a turbo you’d probably be fine, but the 7 wouldn’t hurt and would be my go to in that case.Edit: in 19 years of doing this I’ve never heard of the bkr...
hello everyone .
i have a hyunday sonata stock g4cp on a 1g eclipse with a ecumaster black with vw r8 ignition coils.
turbo is a turbonetics 50 trim .63 ex that im gonna boost to about 10psi
which spark plugs do i need? sorry if it might seem like a dumb qbut im a honda\vw guy, i assumed...
What would you guys recommend? a Evo 3 big 16g or a modified 16g with a 20g compressor wheel upgrade. I ran a Evo 3 16g before and I enjoyed the spool time and power I got out of it. I got a different eclipse soth a hybrid 16g with a 20g compressor wheel. I know the 20g is more laggy but I want...
hello everyone im trying to piece out a 1g eclipse that somone hacked,
i need to replace these 2 bracket\mount bolts.
can somone tell me the length of thes 2 bolts ? afaik they are different lengths.
thanks alot
That’s why I had it shipped to Tim Zimmer. He measured every single bit. It’s .608” everywhere.Like…as in how I clean the holes? Or literally video me impacting them off?
We believe the previous repair, whatever that was where the oil pan had to come off, caused a good portion of this. The o-ring is either the feed or the return, the two ports are for the oil filter housing, which runs variable timing and is needed for direct injection, the camshaft follower...
You'll be fine regardless. The most important change is the new ones don't leak like the originals.
Sadly yours has and the solder around it has become porous. Hopefully the traces haven't failed and the voltage regulator with them. TCUs have this nasty habit of dumping 12v on the 5v rail when...
I have hopes of getting this done in the next few months, if I have it "rolling" by then I will post here about the results of pedal feel (no engine though) - should stop like normal since it is a booster delete and contains a tandem 1" master cylinder (bigger than the 3G).
So what actually makes the Evo fuel siphon better than the DSM one, if you opened it up to 1/8"?Debating on replacing my current 2g siphon with an Evo, even though I logged out the hole incrementally over time, watching the tank level and siphoning capability, until I reached 1/8". Ended up...
i've dealt with them twice over the past few years. one egr block off each time. both times everything went fine. no problems. that stinks that you can't reach them. they might have an eBay store. maybe check to see if they do and reach out that way.
According to them, it can work up to 6-pot front and 4-pot rear combos, I will be running 4-pot front/2-pot rear so it should feel normal (if not better). It also has an individual rear bias adjust as well (lower spin knob).
Im waiting to see how those calipers work with the chase kit, i have brembos with the 3g master, my friend runs no booster with his. He says it takes a bit more effort without the
booster.
Hopefully, it will do a few things:
1. provide a dual system in which if the front fails I still have the back and vice versa.
2. Give me the same pedal feel as if I had a brake booster.
3. Resolve the potential cam idle issue of fluctuating vacuum. On that note, it should give me consistent...
Terrible reviews on Google with the same issues, picture of a ran down shack with a completely different name on the building with no relation for their street view picture. Extremepsi is a known trustworthy vendor and has them in stock.
with all 4 plugs? or only 2?
You're saying you have spark and fuel, but it won't start? - Describe your problem as it is now.Have you tried putting the plug wires from Cyl1 and 4 on Cyl 2 and 3? This inverts the coils - a typical thing to swap on the 1G in a 2G
Been saving up for a bit for a complete engine rebuild and miss clicked and ordered 85.0 instead of 85.5, didn't even think to check until it became time to throw it together, which was past the return date. :(All rings, wristpins, snap clips are included
Rods not includedPlease help me get...
Picture please of the adaptor and where it plugs in on both ends. Also, check for spark on each plug. I typically pull the wire from the plug and connect it to a spare plug, ground the threads and inspect for spark when cranking.
Woohoo. It’s so new and purdy. Not sure if I’m gonna install it this weekend or not. I hate dropping this f*cking transmission. Lol. But it’s nice I have it.
Finally got the motor pulled out on April 3rd and haven’t had the time to get it on an engine stand quite yet. But hopefully this weekend I can start wrenching on it again and start to see the failure point on this thing after taking it all apart.
It was an all day project but it was definitely...
So I recently purchased a EGR blockoff plate from level zero Motorsports and I ordered one and was charged for 2 on our credit card and I cannot get a hold of them to get things straightened out they never answer the phone but they charged our card for it. My question is has anyone ever bought...
