Resolved 420A No crank! Need Help I'm lost

That is OK. You should be able to find the other side of that wire from the key. The other side will go to the firewall and to the engine. It will be the same color from the key, cut then it may be a different color coming back and connecting to the first color again. Look for the same color...

Resolved 420A No crank! Need Help I'm lost

The alarm cut into your ignition as part of the alarm system. Re-connect the wire out of your ignition switch. It will be one color then a different color to the alarm. Connect the same color back... see what that does.

Resolved 420A No crank! Need Help I'm lost

So you should be able to trace your ignition power wires. Especially because you unit will have spliced into it. Look for a wire that goes from near your key to the unit then back to the key. Splice that back together then remove everything else on that alarm unit.

Maybe my cca is low. My fuel could have been old... it turned over strong... I tried it with my jumper box.I have a clicking relay resolve. I believe its the automatic shut down relay...Thanks for that wisdom. Researching testing for spark.

    2G Turning over/ no start

I sprayed starter fluid into the intake manifold and no change. I tested for continuity on the automatic shut down relay which is clicking. The relay clicking is good finctionalty for the relay... I am not sure why it is doing that.

This relay behind the steering wheel is clicking whe the key is on acc. She turns over with no starting up. Can anyone id this relay on the 420a? I thought it was ignition power but would it turn over if my key was not powered or sending power to turn over. My fuel pump in working, im pretty...

Ok well there was some oil underneath it this morning. I am going to replace the oil pressure sensor which I should have as it was leaking before. I will investigate the noise in the transmission area as well.

I have taken plenty of time but I think i have resolved the oil leak. I put poly-eurithane on my engine mount. I put the second alignment dowel thing in place. I have a noise like a bearing inside near the clutch like something continues to spin once the engine stops. The thrust bearing...

So upon removal of the head i found several things. The head bolts were not all as tight as they should have been. My engine mount is broken, the rubber part that bolts to the passenger side. I was missing a bolt into the block from the engine mount. I really suspect the little key thing...

I finally got around to pulling the head and the gasket seems to be correctly positioned. That is what i was worried about or i have the wrong head gasket? The other thing i suspect as i removed the studs is the difference in length. I had longer ones in the center? Should those be one the...

    Finish help

Actually i m replacing tensioner and the oil pressure sensor. I disconnected a power line for an amp that was stolen. It may have been shorting. Im not sure but from other posts that could be a problem. Wouldnt cause oil issue but it could just need to get hot once....

    Finish help

Im just going to pull the head but this time i should probably get new bolts and gasket again. Especially if its the wrong gasket. I am really curious to see if that passageway is blocked. I appreciate the writ up for the gauge. It would make sense if the oil path is blocked then the belt...

    Finish help

I got it to run over and i keep throwing the ac belt off. I will mess with that a little more but Im afraid the head gasket is messed up. It appears to be blocking oil at that point. I need to replace the oil pressure sensor to see but it is coming out of there pretty good. I dont think i...

I have the plug and know I just need to ground the sensor but that does not seem like a god idea. I did poke it a bit maybe it was jammed. I will try to start her again and see if anything has changed. i am really glad to have been able to learn this stuff, thank you. Give me a week.

I tried again and I was able to get the valve with the magnet. I was pointing out the problem to a friend and it picked up. I was really expecting it to be in there blocking oil flow. It appears to be functioning. I will replace everything and try to start her up. I hope this was not...

I was able to acess it and remove the bolt. The spring came out easy but the rest I am not sure how to remove or service. I guess if it had come out easy then it would not be the problem. I used a magnet grabber thing. That is not very srtong but maybe i need to use some kind of pliers...

    420a exhaust ideas

So i attempted to rebuild my fwd 96 but it is leaking out of the oil sensor and i am not sure why or how to repair it. I had the crank polished and new main bearings oversized. I should be able to run with more pressure i guess is the problem. It seems to be flowing oil through properly. Is...

    rebuild issue

After researching i have found that I think it was when i put locktight on the cam cap bolts. This makes sense why...

    rebuild issue

So, thank you for that information. I have been working on my last oil leak and a wierd idle which i thought was timing. I have disconnected my pcv hose to attempt to reduce oil pressure to stop blowing sensors. Yesterday it turned on for a second and i turned it right off. I appears that it...

OK so shes not starting again but my timing might be slightly off. It will be easier this time since I can set tdc before I remove the belts as I should have the first time. I have a picture of the head gasket when I installed it and seems fine thought he oil path seems small relative to the...

    rebuild issue

So I wish i did this without removing the timing belt but I finally got it back on. I think I could have but I did not know that until after. I could have taken caps off one at a time but there is tension on the timing belt and i guess i did not want to strip the threads from in the head. My...

    rebuild issue

All the smaller cam caps appear to be lubricated fine and any grease is still soft and minimal. I took off the cam position sensor cap and there appears to be an oil pathway that is not flowing. the inner hole is dry with a q-tip and the other one has a bit of oil. I am thinking that I sealed...

    rebuild issue

I can easily get at the cam caps and I will inspect those to see if the grease is dried. That is my assumption of where it is having an issue. This is a relatively easy step compared to cleaning the crank. I will put better grease on the cams and see what that does. Thank you so much. I...

So, wow, its been years and I just started her up again and the rear crank seal is holding and the engine is running good. A little high idle but the basics are there. I still have this dripping oil leak from what I think is a sensor in the back. Maybe causing my high idle as well. I am...

    rebuild oil leak

I have basically disassembled it and reassembled it. Previously I did not install an o-ring just above the oil filter in between the bed plate and the block which caused one small leak. I am confident that the other leak was from installing the rear main seal improperly. From the picture...

My second place is from the rear main seal and I...
