The pan is on the list of things to replace. Was planning on replacing it later on when i install new turbo back exhaust. I don't really know how bad it is, but it has some flaky surface rust and would just piss me off if it buckles while i'm already elbow deep into the t-belt job. I know the...
Thanks for the input. I've watched some vids and some people did mentioned having to move the engine up and down. so looks like an engine hoist will be the best option then. Thanks!
Hey guys,i picked up a new to me 95 awd with 70k and going through all the maintenance before getting to the fun stuff! This thing has not been too well taken care of so i'm going to assume the timing belt was never done and am leaving it parked it until it's done. This will be my first...
Sold my GST several years ago and I'm finally back in the game, and totally amped! i just plucked this off EBAY and will be delivered by next week.https://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Eagle-Talon-NO-RESERVE-69K-MILES-TSI-AWD-TURBO/192794516830?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Hey guys. Its been a while since i sold my gst and have had the itch ever since. I know and understand the gst/gsx pretty well but don't have much knowledge on the 3000gt. Came across the one that is just down the street from me. Any thoughts or concerns? Things i need to look out for...
I've got a logitech mk520. Its the only wireless one i've used so i don't have much to compare it too, but its awesome. They say it works up to 30 ft away, and i haven't been able to go far enough to break the connection. Works perfect with no delays.
Thinking i may just order one of those fp manifolds that are on sale for $195 shipped. It will take me at least a week to do a boost leak test. Actuator seems as though its holding fine, but i'll try and swap my stock one from the t25 over and see what happens.
Hey guys. I just got done swaping in my t28 and can't get the thing to boost past 10psi with my mbc. The more i turn it up, the higher it will spike but then drop back down. The higher it revs the lower the boost will go.It boosted perfect with the t25 at 14psi. So, after some...
I'm having the same type of issue. One way to check your water pump is flowing is to leave the cap off, as if your bleeding the system, and once it gets to operating temps hold the throttle up either by throttle body or someone in the car. You should see the coolant flowing through like a...
Does anyone know of any good Tampa or Clearwater area shops that would do a t25 to t28 swap?I've got all the parts, but this is my dd and I really can't afford any down time...
If its not something with the radio/amp wiring its most likely your alternator. Alternator diode works like a one way valve for electricity. It may charge fine when running but when the diode stops working it will draw power when the car is off.
There are two temp sensors. One for the gauge and one for the ecu. Removing the one for the gauge will not have any effect on driveability. So, does anyone know if an aftermarket temp probe will fit into the stock location?
anoyone have any other options, i'd hate to chop up my silicone hose. Are the aftermarket temp sensors typically the same size as stock? That way you could just mount it in the stock location in the thermostat housing and just unplug the stocker.
Those are GST brakes. AWD brakes fill up the wheel more.... Seriously doubt the owner downgraded to single piston calipers and smaller rotors. My 2 cents.GST for the win....:sneaky:
Can you be more specifc with the problems? But, it sounds like you could be running lean causing both knock and heat under load conditions.Get a wideband if you don't have one already and stay out of boost until you get this fixed if you want to keep that engine running.
^^^- Agreed. Our cars find ways to hold air pockets in the coolant system. Leave the cap off and let it reach full operating temp and give it a good rev or two. Just keep topping it off until its full. Also, make sure its parked on a flat, level surface.
I've read several "cracked housing" threads but they all seem to be on the wastegate flapper. This is a used t28 i picked up and what i've got here is a small hairline crack that is about an inch long, but what worries me is that it runs up into the flange that bolts to the manifold. Do you...
^^^ Yes, one or both of your drains are clogged. Same thing happened to me. Pull off your molding in the trunk and check your drains, there is one on each side. I had to replaced the hose completly on the passanger side.
Does anyone happen to know what size speed bleeder would be needed? All they have at the local stores are standard thread sizes so i'm gonna try and order one online.
Not sure of any step-by-step but these should get you started.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tuning-engine-management/338754-first-flashed-dsm-ecu-98-99-flashing-faq.htmlhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tuning-engine-management/397442-time-start-tuning-my-99-ecu.html...
Very nice looking ride. I moved to Clearwater from Jax and know the quality of car most people drive around there is a joke. I see you have pride. :rocks: Welcome.
I did, but ended up taking it back. The kit I got (the only once advance auto could get) only had the 6cm gasket. But also it appeared to be for the 1g's. Even though the box shows it is for both models, half the gaskets were wrong, so it wasn't worth it.
Go onto ebay and pick yourself up one of these. Magnaflow 10436, and take it to your local exhast shop to have installed in the straight section after the cat, or where the cat would be if yours is removed. There is plenty of room there. My card is a dd as well and I have this plus a oval...
