Link, Link, Link... By far. Honestly I knew what it did before i had it but never understood just how useful it was going to turn out to be... get it and you will definitely not regret it.
Thanks for the photo... yeah iv'e always been interested in seeing up close in person. I absolutely hate the low rise... I have no wing on mine, but always was curious on the turbo wing. It does look a little weird on the spyder but I cant decide if its entirely ugly looking.
Wow, looks like spyders finally came out of the woods, good stuff. To bad im not there to have cruised with them. How was MOD? Did you get your car tuned Corey at the Road Race dyno?Oh... who has that Spyder with the turbo wing? Ive always wanted to see it in different angles... Ive seen a few...
Just remember that a stock BOV cant hold boost when increasing it. You need to get a aftermarket in order to be able to boost 14-16 psi... On that note, without the proper mods I would not increase more than 14 psi.
Definitely Keep it! It sounds like you really like the car so I don't understand what the problem is. Take your time on the car and make it cleaner and sexier! I would not be scared of working on it only because its clean, trust me, you'll enjoy modding a car that is not only fast but looks...
I had the same white smoke issue at one point, turned out it was the valve stem seals. If you do them, make sure you buy some good ones, if not the problem is likely to come back in the near future. I have heard from people that warming the car up before driving off can help maintain strong...
Its really easy, no sweat. I removed the trunk panel leading to the front, well more like a piece of heavy board, but anyway, after jacking up the car a bit, standing on either side with the trunk open you can feel for the nuts ( oooo that sounded dirty! ). But dont let the convertible...
Hey whats up fellas? Hows the DSM community down in SD holding up?Corey by far I think the best one of your ideas is that valve cover... freaking sweet.:thumb:Bastards all going to MOD, i would really like to make it up but will probably be impossible.
I cant help but notice that the picture of the maroon car that is taking of the rear shows that he has his tires mounted incorrectly. Anyone else notice this?
Dont hate son! The spyder is not staying down there for long, just letting the heavy rain settle... Then its going to come be my Sunday cruiser! I miss my car.Dont worry Corey, ill be back before to long and Ill hit you and the fellas up and see if we go for some Chili's like old times!
Whats going on fellas. Damn I miss the small dsm friends in San Diego. I have not seen a single Eclipse over here in Oakland. The roads are complete shit on my daily commute and am glad I left my car at home.Yo Corey, my friend Martin is going to give the Intercooler to Rego and ill ask him...
I haev a intercooler sitting in the garage I got from "Gofer". Its a Hahn Frontmount and he had it anodized. It looks great. But now that you mention it weakening the aluminum might be the reason it now has a leak... Hmmm, Im curious to know now.
Yep. the anodize is the way to go. There is a few places, legit to, you send your items in via shipping and they return them anodized for great prices. I have some numbers written down somewhere, ill see if i can post them.As far as piping goes, most of us fellas here in San Diego like to...
Welcome, if your looking to learn this is the perfect place for information. This website really is designed with the user in mind, if you actually use the tools this website provides you will at least understand DSMs in no time.:hellyeah:
Here is yet another reason to not get a convertible!!! I mean it is 10 years old, what do I expect, but still frustrating when it happened, top goes down and sounds like I just ripped the ass side of my pants bending over. And then it rained the next week!! haha Results:
:ohdamn: This has to be the worst thing I have ever seen!!! hahaha I cant stop laughing. Sorry dude, but Im keeping your photo in my fail dsm folder!!!!Its cool that your including your wife into things though, props on that. But I would start small, you shot for the stars.ROFL
hahaha, you guys are hilarious. Yeah nice turn out. Lets see if we can keep it going at-least twice a month.Yeah, I think Rego should run his car... 25 pounds!!! hahaha, I would run except it's probably slower than your kitted Neon Corey! And Alex well, if his car turns on and makes it out...
Thats normal when all the fluid is drained out of the line. Just keep bleeding, sometimes it takes a little while but it will get there. Get a friend to help you out and make sure that you keep the Master Cylinder full so to not get more air in the line.
I to would also check the battery first. Grab your meter and do a quick test. If you don't have one, I think its a tool everyone should own, even if its a cheap little one for 20 bucks. But I know craftsman is about 30 bucks and works fantastic. Check it also while cranking and see the draw...
Agreed^^. They definitely keep me smiling. I wouldn't let it go, seems like your pretty close to getting her going. Might as well finish up and see if you end up liking the car before you make your decision. :thumb:
Whats up guys... Yeah im down to go but im probably going to get there late myself.Do me a favor Corey, text me when your on your way and Ill start to make the drive...
Will also go with crowd on this one, DSMlink is def the way to go. Was a little intimidated by it at first, Corey has showed me how to use it and can tell you that I feel comfortable making changes now. It really is user friendly and has a lot of knowledgeable people using it on this website...
Car looks to be in good shape, looks like it has some mods done, but he doesn't say anything about mechanical condition from the quick browse I gave the post. Call and find out, at last nights meet here in SD a dude got his 2g GSX, clean looking with 100k for 1,500... So good deals do show up...
Although you might not hydro lock, if you know that it rains almost every other day like mentioned I would still make it a priority to get the right intake for your driving conditions... No point in knowing you have a problem and not fixing the issue.I would say not to worry about it for the...
Yeah I didn't leave to soon, spoke to Alex and he said he was on his way so I chilled outside for like 45, walked inside but didn't see you guys so said the hell with it. Nice meeting you though dude, still can't believe you got the car for 1500!!!:thumb:
Of course it's sarcasm!!Rego called me at like 9:45 to ask where I was at! Haha I'm guessing nitto alex and campos showed. Told you you should have called.
Haha, I wonder if I would have ever noticed that if you hadn't mentioned it.By the way, thanks to all those fellas who showed up to the meet, especially Corey for having the great ass idea of changing the location further from my house, I didn't mind the drive though seeing how we had a huge...
I don't mind driving over there every Wednesday as long as people show up. I'll be there tomorrow at 8.Yo Corey, only reason I was saying off Busters is cause there cool with car clubs there. They extend happy hour if you ask I think, plus the patio outside let's you browse the cars while you...
Man of course you can roll, I'm not trying to turn this into a meet where people need to ask to go to, I just want a day where dsm's get together and chat cars. Everyone and anyone with or interested in one should show up. :hellyeah:I want to just start a day where the majority of the people...
So then Wednesday at 8:00pm sound good? I know Corey will show up a hour late which is cool. How does Busters sound? Has a cool parking lot in the back where we shouldn't be bothered.... Plus we can grub or have a drink inside/patio at Busters. I would like to get together every if not every...
Let's meet on Wednesdays. What do you guys say? Us DSMers always slacking on the meets, running car or not let's get our SD dam community together more often for some meets. I know for sure Corey, Rego & Alex our down. How about anyone else?
