JusMX you don't have to school me on turbo knowledge. I know you're the man when it comes to turbos.I was just explaining in general terms that his car runs well for having a chinese turbo on it. I don't advertise chinese turbos nor have I ever bought one. But I know the situation he was in...
I hear ya. It took me a long time to assemble my parts. Only difference between your setup and mine is an FRH IM and I'm running E85 on my 2150's.Good luck to you and please keep us posted on your numbers.
So I just signed up for a Twitter account to get 50 pts of extra credit for a college communications course. I have to get 200 follower by December 14th, so any Twitter members I would really appreciate if you could follow me.My Twitter name is Jwenzel3 and my name is listed as Jimmer...
IMO I would leave it solid and etch in the letters. Unless you have spot on precision with cutting the letters or have a way to precisely cut it. It would look awesome to cut out the letters if it is done right.
You could cut it square and take a wizard wheel / sanding pad with an angle grinder to it to perfect it. That way you are not wasting materials if you f it up... You can always take more off, you can't put back on.BTW: The design looks pretty slick
A good friend of mine relocated his battery to the trunk and put his twin pump surge tank in its place. A very clean setup if you ask me. Unfortunately he just blew 2 rods threw his block so I don't have pics, but his setup worked well. He was having issues at WOT the fuel would shift to the...
Subscribed...I have plans of upgrading to an HX52 from my GT35R over the fall/winter. I was just wondering if you had any track or dyno dates set up yet? I am very interested to see what kind of #'s you put down. I am extremely impressed with your spool time. I am interested to see how this...
Trust me guys I have done everything I can to get Ryan motivated. He is pretty spineless when it comes to this. He always leans back on the fact it is his dad paying for it. But when it is all said and done it is still HIS car. I would have sued him after a few months of having NOTHING done to...
After 2 1/2 years he finally got his car back. Only to find out that there are now a bunch of rust patches and the mechanic messed something up. It has low compression (100,130,130,130) and knocks pretty bad. Needless to say it is back at the mechanics getting his shit rebuilt ROFL
It's warped rotors like everyone else is saying. Feel free to shake down the front end, but this is classic overtorquing of the wheels causing the rotors to get hot and warp.
This is a great thread don't ruin it. From the political aspect I couldn't agree more with what has been said, but the Wisemen have nicely asked you to shut the f*ck up. So please do so! :thumb:There is only one problem with the OP's rant and that is that the people he is referring to will...
I wish I lived down south... You can find rust free gsx's all day if you are willing to drive. GST's suck. I have owned 1 and will never own another unless I do an AWD swap on a spyder. It's worth the wait.
Some people have great success with their knockoff BOV's. Some people do not.My personal experience... Today I went to a tranny shop with a buddy to to pick up his GST. The shop was about 40 miles from my house where we were taking the car to do some work. In short, the car would build...
Exactly what I had in mind...+1... They are harder to find, but totally worth the extra few lbs/min you get.It is said that with the (6 or 7 blade) HX40 and .70 ar T3 housing can flow 69lbs/min...
I am not a fan of blowing money on overpriced turbos. You say you want 425hp, so don't get a turbo that maxes out at 400hp. The small 16g & big 16g seem extremely pointless to me. The E316G costs about $40 more than the small and $20 more than the Big, so why not upgrade to the best one you...
Well I am pissed. A few of you seem to dislike the snow a bit. I on the other hand, LOVE snow. Here is St. Louis, we got about an INCH of ICE, 3" of Sleet, and were supposed to get 12"-16" of snow overnight, but that missed us. Instead we got 2". It sucks because the snow barely missed us...
ROFL... I cannot stop laughing. Perfectly put.LOL... You are a funny ass dudeIt should be noted that this is for those running street fuel (93 & 91 Octane). E85 will be quite different.I would highly recommend this turbo: Caterpillar TurboROFL
On a serious note...

Any updates... I read all 4 pages of this thread to be left on a cliff hanger.I am very interested because I will be running either a HX40 or FPred based on how well the scirrico rad tucks under the supports.Would a pusher and puller fan be overkill?
That is the idea of wrapping, to keep bay temps down. However, it does keep the mani hotter increasing the possibility of cracking, but come on we are talking about a CAST FP manifold. I don't think there have been any cases of them breaking because of excessive heat. Tubular manifolds, on...
I don't hate on all honda guys, just the honda guys who think they are driving the fastest car on the road. I will give it to the Honda's, they have unmatched reliability when stock, but they are not fast. It takes a lot of money to make them fast.BTW: The Lotus weighs less than 2k lbs...
Thanks for sharing the laugh. I have a good friend of mine with a built honda with a 50trim that is running low 13's. He loves his honda, but knows his role. When I explain my setup to him, he knows he doesn't have a prayer even if he does weigh 1k lbs less...BTW: Showing results 1 to 50...
:ohdamn: You missed the one on crankwalk? That seems a little far fetched. The crank has a hard time running with 1/4" of play. You would need about 2"-3" to hit the frame.
I hate to burst your bubble, but I don't think this is the end all save all resolution to crankwalk... Yes, it may relieve some stress off the thrust bearing, but I don't think this will make it "immune" to crankwalk. There really is no way to eliminate crankwalk. However, most people that...
Even the ERL is pretty expensive. Though it is nothing like the price of a tubular manifold, it is still expensive compared to the equivilent FP product... I don't understand how FP can produce a high flowing, great manifold, for half the price of anyone (except eBay). It leads me to believe...
I like the way you think...ROFL that is rediculous. I don't even know what my reaction to something like that would be.My rates with Geico were the highest of all of the companies, but maybe they just didn't like me...On a side note: I don't know how old you guys are or what kind...
I just wanted to make this thread so that maybe someone at Forced Performance on the forums will look and see how high of a demand there is for a T3 FP Cast Manifold. I don't really understand why they have not done this yet. I mean the market for a nice cast T3 manifold that doesn't cost and...
I think you are giving the cops too much credit. Around here it doesn't matter how polite you are. Yes, Lofty acted less than polite, but I don't think he was a dick to the cop. If Lofty got pulled over in St. Louis and acted as polite as possible, they would still give him a ticket. Now...
I am very supportive of him doing harmless donuts but had he tried to flee I would be flaming him. You sir have obviously never tried to "run" from the police. Me on the other hand tried a few years back. I don't recommend it. Although 400awhp > 250rwhp in the snow... 400awhp < 6 250rwhp. Take...
It is bizzare how big of dicks cops are. I don't understand how you are harming anyone? As long as you are not drifting in a crowded parking lot, I don't see the problem. It is just good fun. If you were on wet grass, I would understand, but pavement? Come on...You are a too mature to...
Wideband o2 logs Air to Fuel ratios. It is a sensor that you install in your exhaust stream that runs up to a gauge and gives you ACCURATE Air to Fuel ratios.I know what you are saying but the OP may think an A/F gauge would suffice.
WIDEBAND O2... NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH AN AIR/FUEL...
They make this for a reason...
BOV
Exhaust (Turbo-back)
Intake (Hardpipe & K&N Filter)
MBC
Wally 190 or rewire stock
IC piping

Gauges (Boost, Oil Pressure, & Wideband)This should put you in the ballpark...
:hmm: When you can find an Innovate LC-1 for cheaper than an AEM Uego I think it is a no doubter. :aha: You are getting a better product for a better price.
Surprise, surprise... You paid for sh*t and sh*t is what showed up... I would highly recommend you look in to a FP manifold. Those CXRacing onces are 2/3rds of the price a FP one is. I bet you are now thinking :aha: I should have spent and extra $70.
IMO:
272's good $200? - good find for a steal
HKS Cam Gears - another steal
Injectors - Find them used for a fraction of the price (I have PTE 780's for sale)
Unorthodox Pully kit - NOT NECESSARY
Get factory belts and save yourself a bundle
FMIC - Good choice or Punishment Racing (Both...
It becomes a "head shaker" when the beautiful front bumper and rear wing are replaced with some rice snacks. If that is a real Evo, it is even more of a :banghead: because they just ruined a sick car.
