ahhggg that sucks man. I've also heard if the timing is off like 2 teeth it's not to bad, as in like 1 or 2. I have also heard if it slips once that it will continue to slip.
that sucks though.
I know Brad. It's time to get a new gauge and check the compression all over again. I don't really get how it worked just fine on your car but when it came time to do my test the numbers looked like crap. lol
It is the strangest thing that the timing was perfect and runs and drives just fine...
could be the gauge, I thought about that but i kinda pushed it off because it was fairly new and I was like nahhhh..couldn't be that. and by buddy did his like a few weeks before I did mine with the same one and mine was like crap.. Like badd..I was like dang baby. lol...
I never said you were wrong. I just don't know how the car is even running after doing the compression test. It was just a interesting thing to find out the if compression was 60psi across the board while doing a compression test the right way, I just don't get it.
I mean even if timing was...
I am having the same issue. I did a compression test warm and cold and it didnt make to much of a difference.
My compression was 60 psi across the board and it runs and drives pretty good when it's warm outside. I had the same question posted on here earlier. I was stumped as well. lol..
I have had low compression for about a year.
I have had some weird problems regarding no starts because I kept thinking it
was something else.
The car starts now with some playing around with Power transistors. It just takes two people.
I did a Compression Test and got like 60 psi across the...
I'm talking about 100% bone stock.
and with someone who has all the equipment to do so.
Because I don't have all the awesome little tools.
And I don't have a cherry pickers, or a engine
stand. pretty much the main boy tools to do it.Thats what I want to know.
I wouldn't get one off ebay. I would probably get stick with the 14b for awhile if the car is all stock. the 14b is a pretty good turbo for stock cars anyways.
the throw out bearing could have gone out. the shifter fork could be broken, you could have crank walk.
if you have replaced the master and slave and bled the system right and it still wont come out of gear or wont go in. these things are a really good possibility.
I wouldnt put the cat back on, it shouldnt really be that much louder without it on there.
I would just try to see if there is any leaks around the weld on the muffler you put in...
or make sure you have the proper exhaust gaskets on your fittings.
You should get a 14b with a 2g maf and 550cc injectors to push back fuel cut.
You'll get more power at higher RPM's with a 14b anyways. little boy turbos are mainly for that low
RRM jazz. But good lack BABY!
I know that people could mistake fuel cut as a misfire if at high enough rpm's and enough boost. your car's fuel pump will shut off and kinda make it feel like a huge miss out.
not to great. I always have some stupid problem with it. It's always coming back to the same thing as well, I'll fix it one day. and some days it'll be great and want to start up. others it's just like mad or something and wants to not work properly. I just can't seem to have a great grand day...
Well I wanted to get a car that was cool, I didn't know to much about Dsm's until purchasing on. I knew about turbos and what they did and how they increase the engines horsepower with free power. Unlike superchargers. I didn't want to get a little sports car that wasn't boosted already because...
I have been have a problem with my 1990 Mitsubishi eclipse gsx.
I have been have some starting problems. My car recently wouldn't start with out ether when the car was cold due to a coolant temp sensor. I've replaced that.It will start when cold now but it has always acted really funny...
Ok. I bought a Misubishi Eclipse GSX From Mississippi. The guy told me that the car ran great, BUT the only thing was that you had to Prime it so it would start because the fuel pressure regulator was bad. Well i know now that was crap.I Primed the car and drove it home from Mississippi...
I have a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. My Fuel pump is in the trunk of the vehicle.
Well when i put it back in from taking it out. I tried to start it and i now have a leak in my fuel
line on the assembly part. Will JB weld work to fix the leak? :sosad:
