I'm running the foam piece and that should not affect fitment. Something else is stopping you. Either the bumper isn't trimmed enough or something else aftermarket is in the way or bent as stated above.
I've been working on cleaning up my engine bay lately and I knew the old yellowed stock coolant overflow tank had to go. Unfortunately new oem ones are discontinued. While searching for a new oem 2g tank, to no avail, I ended up stumbling upon the evo 8/9 oem overflow tank. I had no idea if...
My torque converter will lock up in 3rd gear if I'm not on the throttle enough and then shift into 4th. In 4th it will lock up below 30 mph. I've replaced the tps and properly adjusted it. Also replaced the vss and tcu. What else controls lockup and what mph should it happen at? Should it ever...
Might as well. We sprayed the lock mechanism with it too. I really didn't think it would fix it, but something was definitly gummed up because it worked great after.
No problem. I had to open my passenger door and reach over and pop the drivers side interior door open for years and it sucks. I gave up on it until my buddy offered to help. Both doors on my eclipse are good now. Still need to tackle the drivers side door on my talon. You may not even need to...
Your saying you have to pull the handle most of the way up before it pops the door open? And it barely is able to? I've had that issue for years where it wouldn't open the door at all and a friend of mine finally figured it out. He took the white plastic cover plate inside the door off and...
Thanks for the quick response.I had a feeling it was supposed to be solid. The semi-split one I pulled out of the old trans I thought was normal until I pulled out the one on the replacement and saw it was completely separated and the 2 spring things in the differential tunnel. It got me...
I have a viscous coupler in a 2g auto awd transmission and its completely split open and I have another one from my old transmission that has a big split on it but part of the case is solid. Should there be any split in the case or should it be completely sealed? I uploaded pics of both. Thanks...
Driver and passenger side are different. The rs came with the unpainted black handles right? That's how most replacements are sold. If not, then just paint the handle whatever color it was.
There is a slit in the circle area where the cable goes in. You pull the cable a certain amount and you can slid the cable out when you line up the slit and the cable. It's similar to your throttle body cable. You'll figure it out once your messing with it. Super easy once you realize how it's done.
With no bolts in the middle area of the valve cover, there is a good possibility that's why your burning oil. Pull the plug wires off and see if there is a puddle of oil in the spar plug wells.
It has nothing to do with your exhaust manifold. It bolts on to your turbo's turbine housing. I have a spare ebay ( the same as in your link) o2 housing and a t25 turbine housing and yes everything appears to line up. The 02 housing has a 2 1/2 outlet which is bigger than the outlet on the stock...
I also agree with the evo 3 intake manifold, as I installed one a few months back. Its what I wanted for my particular setup though. 264 cams, 16g turbo, ect...
Hell yea. At least the gauge works now. Lets see if the light comes back. If it does, get a real gauge or pressure tester as stated by other above.
Edit- Just saw you have a gauge on order. That's really the best way to go.
I dig it. It seems like a pretty clean car. Its even got the jade green that came on the 97 talons that I love.Im just wondering how hard it will be to work on. I've always heard the 3000gt vr4's were a pain.
It would make sense, but I used to have mine fall off when I went wot (scared the heck out of me the first time it happened) and the needle would not work but I never had the low oil light come on. I think its strictly for the "gauge on the dash", but not totally sure.
Check under your car and see if the black connector is attached. If its not, then that is why the needle never moves. Should not have to do with the low oil pressure light though.Stolen pic-
I did it with the handle on. The passenger side wasn't too bad to do. The driver side sucked. You would think with a new handle, everything would just work fine, but that would be too easy LOL.I used a plastic wall anchor and then put the screw in it, so I didn't have to worry about getting a...
I've had that happen to me. The bolt was a hair to big and caused the lock mechanism to bind up. I ended up finding a bolt just big (wide) enough to open the handle enough, but just small enough not to cause the locks to bind.
A simple palm pilot logger setup would tell you. It's a good diagnostic tool. You can see what the check engine lights are saying and see the outputs of senors, water temp, ect.

I got this feed line for my car and the two banjo fittings (the circle fittings) were already installed on the feed...
