I am looking for a 52 pro for my built 2jz. Currently has a T74GTQ-DBB, and I want a small inducer truck turbo for the "sleeper" aspect. I think it would be hard for someone to expect a stock turbo to run high 8's at 150+.Stopped at a volvo dealer today... They didnt have any deals on...
This map smells funny to me.. I have put a HX50 (h2c) on a LS1, and honestly I am about to give him one of my HE351ve's, because I think it will make more power... There are too many variables to go by that map with any real stock in it... As I think the few he531VE's are a bit on the small...
-12 drain (stock hx35 drain tube with hose clamped on), and 80PSI going in, and it has never smoked ever.My drain is FAR from ideal too... it sorta loops under the trans, then goes back up at the end.
If anyone can show me where I can get a turbo that is good for 200k+ miles worth of use, has reliable VGT exhaust technology, and a compressor that supports 700hp, for less than $50, please let me know.It cant be a holset (because obviously they suck) :)
could put it in gear and start rocking it back and forth without the plugs in it. That would give you an idea in the shape of the lower end of the motor.Other than that, 1g motors are fairly easy to find if it was ran out of oil.
My HX35 is still going strong after 2 seasons of a ton of abuse. No turbo timer, a few overboosts, a few blown charge tubes at max boost, many "un turbo timed" key offs. Its a truly unbreakable turbo, and I am currently just intercooler limited from cranking out another 50-70whp from it.That...
Without turbo's, 3800's sound like nails on a chalkboard. Its strange that you add a turbo and 3800s instantly sound cool, and actually make horsepower.
Had a 3000lb HE351 powered fiero with a BONE STOCK 3.8L and 17psi of boost at the track a few days ago.Went 11.7 at 123 running lean on e85 and bouncing off valve float.YouTube - Turbo Fiero 11.74@123 17psi
Meth just straight sucks compared to a decent intercooler and decent fuel delivery. It CAN make a bit more power than just pump gas given a good setup, but the amount is quite insignificant.I typically find that meth just cools down your combustion to the point you just flat out make less...
I am pissed that it is going to be soooooooo much faster than my automatic turd bucket.I hope I can still put down some better 1/4 times, but he will kill me in trap speed.
Went 11.7 @ 119 in my fiero with a 1.9 60 (capable of 1.6's). 14# of boost, 55-56lb/m of air, 94 octane pump E10.Injectors are limiting me from going further, and my intercooler is not the best and I show 100-120 degree intercooler outlet temps. Should do a soild low 120 trap on race gas...
Same is relative, I know of 3 compressor wheels and 2 exhaust wheels that could be on either. I would say if it is a gas intended turbo, you would have a bit more comp wheel.
Picked up a electric throttle body off of a 2004 grand prix (turns out they are around for nearly free due to the grand prix kids using the superchargers off these motors).I have modded the gears so that it will close all the way (quick dremel action) and then made a little connector...
I run a 12cm currently on my car, and I am looking to emulate my setup with a bigger compressor on a friends car with a similar setup.. i wouldnt run smaller than my 12cm, so I am going to continue looking for the VGT turbo, and rig it (rig is my middle name).
I have seen that these 2 different model numbers floating around, and it seems that the VE is a "later" model than the CW.... anything different in these?
Went to the track with my fiero a yesterday..11.75@119. 60' was a bit lacking due to a stock auto with a stock 1900 stall. Flowing a peak of 432g/s, averaging about 420.HX35 7bladeYouTube - Scott runs 11.75@119mph
Hi everyone!I was involved in some of the holset threads a few months ago, and I just wanted to come in and post up some of my recent results.I have been running a stock 12cm HX35 7blade on my 3.8L for many many miles now. It is intercooled with a Ebay air/water IC, and I run it with an...
Whats the latest news on HX52? I found a post on a diesel forum... idk how accurate it is.I imagine he is is telling the truth, but I was wondering if anyone had any more measurements or results, and most importantly information on how to aquire this hx52 pro stuff.
Looks like someone has been poking around diesel forums a bit. The diesel guys seem to be popping these hx52's quite often.... they claim they are a very "unreliable" turbo and you should be going with turbos with better exhaust housings (for diesels). Leaves more for us at least , yay!I...
I like the 12cm housing on my V6 setup I run. I wouldnt worry about porting the exhaust housing at all, it will most likely do more harm than good.I ran the stock downpipe 45degree elbow, and made a plate that bolts to the stock downpipe thing that holds the flap closed (no welding, i can...
I run a hx35 3.8 (well actually a 3800S2, its a 3.8 with a stouter lower and better heads)We only rev to 6500-6700 due to head flow issues, not dangerous valvetrain issues.. as that can be easily solved. My stock heads only make power up to ~6krpms, any more is just trying to stretch a...
Sorry I came off so matter of fact.I didnt stop to think they offered the MWE grooves on the h1's, I should remember that anything is possible there. In the end its still a smaller compressor than most any HX40's we have seen.... its at least smaller than any of the 6/7 blade hx40's, but...
exhaust housing is way bigger than whats used on the HX52, and I wouldnt even expect my turbo to flow that sort of 60/lb/m on my 7blade hx35.H1e = shitty HX40. its an 8blade, so it MIGHT flow the 60lb/m that the other guy was talking about his h1c is going to flow. The exhaust housing is...
Pushrod 3800 Series2 GM v6. HX35 99-02 56mm 7blade ~58lb/m max flow 12cm/2 exhaust. No numbers yet, just some logs and pictures. log confirms flow readings. Spool on my pushrod 3.8L comes on just off the converter.. about 3200--3400RPMS to make full boost.deathlog2 from darkhorizon -- Scan...
Car is going up for the winter (might have some teasers in a few months), but a few more holset turbo powered fiero are going to roll out soon. If all goes to plan there will be 3 more next spring.I am really interested in locking in information about the HX40's... I wouldnt mind someone...
