im removing the air bags. srs computer. g sensors. all wiring included. looking to keep the stock sleeper look. my question is can i remove the drivers air bad but still keep the cover on to keep the stock wheel. i know i can for the passenger side
From what I read its a back up if the battery light on the dash stops working. The alternator kicks on by that light or the relay. When has anyone had a problem with the battery light though
i know they did away with these on the later models and ive heard of people taking them out. i did remove mine but as a double check before i put everything back together id like to see what anyone else has to say.
i have a non abs proportioning valve. does it matter which ports the two lines coming off the mc go to on the proportioning valve. i understand its the two bottom ports.
2000 on my gst
800 on a tsi parts car (had brand new coil overs and small 16g turbo)
dsmlink and a stupid amount of trial and error parts to get this car running with very little success.
You can cut them if you don't plan on using them again or tie them. Either or. First id get either a kit or the parts before trying to remove everthing lol.
the line you are holding in your hand looks like the abs sensor thats suppose to go to the hub. here's two links ive been looking at. i bought the abs delete kit from stm. trying to save time in bending lines.Eclipse Non-ABS Conversionheres another talking about the harness itself...
someone gave me a number. the guy pulled up in a van at my house. had it done quick. too easy. i did have a spare car to get the windshield from though. 50 is the guy swapping it. my suggestion would be look around in the yellow book. i guess i just got lucky
well ive always wanted to kick a windshield out like the movies =Pi paid 50 for mine to be replaced. its just some kind of silicone holding it in places. just sand down around the windshield edges to prevent rust.
I had the same problem. Torch chizzel air hammer. You name it..didn't work. Autozone axle and get a knuckle from the junk yard. save alot of time. Didn't cost as much as I thought.
yea i followed the blue wire up to the drivers fender. havent taken that side apart yet. i found out why my abs didnt work in the first place. that blue wire broke ha. go figureheres a better pic of what that red connector goes into.this relay splits off that blue wire. im guessing this is...
black plug of wires going under the fender. looks like grounds. i just cut and remove the ground going back to the abs computer.red plug under the fender. what is this? part of the air bags maybe?
so far the abs computer, that black ground plug, and both the floor plates came out out no problem. now im left with the harness which runs ??? looks like up into the fender. any ideas on uninstalling this.
ive been searching for a few days now. just looking for more help on removing the abs computer and harness. i have the stm abs delete kit coming in a few day. looking to get a jump on the project. pics are much appreciated.
does the abs harness unplug from the back of the fuse box?
installed dsmlink fuel pump rewire and 190 wally. havent ran the car in months. i finished the install. put some good gas in. and nothing. all my gauges turn on but im not hearing the pump turn on. i have power going to the relay. i double checked all my wiring. what should i check next.
cheap aluminum throttle body elbow with my fmic. it warped.
champion spark plugs. garbage.
safcII. good but ended up with dsmlink so it was a waste of time.
thats what i was thinking. yes i have dsmlink. so in the end the o2 sensors arent even needed as long as you can ignore the code.also did you reuse the old grommet from the old o2
i bought a prosport wideband and was told by prosport i could run it off the same o2 bung as the rear o2 sensor. so the wire off the original o2 is going to be left unplugged? does this sound correct?
anyone use the prosport sandwich plate. installed it for the oil pressure gauge but i noticed its has maybe a 1/4inch of room between the downpipe. 35 vs the forward facing alternative was worth a try. my question is how safe is this and has anyone tried using a shorter filter .
never had any luck with evo scan or any luck contacting the company for help. i wanted it mostly to read codes. but i sold my safcII for dsmlink. thank you tax money.
Well white is out of the question now. Still just waiting on a review for red. Its too cold to try it here. I just want to be able to sand down some of this rust and paint the engine bay red for now. Clear coat it. Then maybe the rest of the car if it turns out ok
6foot 3.. 250.. How do you fit in that car haha.
I think its a warwick west warwick thing. I was up there the other day and the same jetta kept flying up nd down the street playing with his bov. Too slow smh
If I read that right... Are you saying I can use your sensor as a replacement for the stock sensor so I will still have a signal for the ecu and for dsmlink.no extra bung welding is needed?
