i wasnt talking about keeping my n/t ecu, i was talking about switching to the turbo ecu, would it be wise, and necessary, im starting to think that a 16 g turbo would be better, at what rpm does a 16 g start to spool? im planing on switching to a welbro but if i keep my n/t ecu, would it hurt...
ok so would i need to put a knock sensor in, because if the turbo ecu will just hook right up to the n/t wiring harness then that means i should have the connection in my engine bay for a knock sensor, if im wrong correct me, but would it be wise to go ahead and put a knock sensor in?
i was planing on changing to a turbo ecu, but wouldnt i have to reprogram everything or would it just be unplug the nt ecu and plug in the turbo ecu and be good?
i picked up a GM mass air flow sensor, and i know a guy here in town that will tune my car, hes got all the programs. i was told also that when you switch over to the Gm mass air flow sensor that you have to get a box to hook up the pig tail from the GM sensor to the 1 g nt air sensor pig tail...
im not tring to rush turbo'ing my car, i've done more and more research on it since i got the thought in my head, im first getting a 255 pump, 450 to 550 injectors, im switching the ecu's out, cams and upgraded fuel rail, and FPR. what else should i change, i know im leaving some things out.
i took my turbo to the tuner shop here in town yesterday and they took a look at it, and they said it was in good shape, but the flange for the waste gate is a older tial 40mm 4 bolt, so im going to have to try and find a good waste gate that will fit my flange or cut mine off and weld an...
and thank you abaum565your advice cleared up alot of unanswered questions, that is what i thought a bov and waste gate were, i just wanted a second opinion, I am getting a welboro 255 and i beleave 550cc injectors. ill be posting pics of my turbo and manifold 2mrw after i get home from work...
i would actually much rather you just not try and help me at all thru this build to be completely honest with you, all im doing is tring to get advice, and honest help from people that has done this before, not self centered pricks like yourself.
i know what the main differences are between them, but correct me if im wrong, a bov releases all the that goes into the intake while shifting, and the waste gate controls how much pressure is put into the system?
correct me if im wrong but isnt this were i get my oil supply to my turbo from, then when i do the return i just drill a hole into the oil pan and put a bolt fitting in there right?
that def has alot of good info, i got the turbo from a guy from craigslist, i know a t3/t4, is rather big but it will also support after i do all the other mods listed in that thread
ok kool, ### would be better, and internal or external waste gate, and were could i find the o2 housing that goes between the turbo and down pipe or the exhaust?
hey guys i ended up picking up a t3/t4 turbo, manifold, gm inline mass air flow sensor, a inter cooler, and a look alike hks bov, i was wondering if anybody knew were i could find the hook ups for the air sensor and a good place were i could get the oil lines for the turbo, and do i have to have...
i havethe panel but not the metal or plastic clips, but i didnt buy the rims and tires separately, a got them from a guy the baught them and used them for a month then just didnt want them anymore, so they have about 1000 miles on them before i got them
ok guys, i picked up a set of tokico lowering struts, for my 92 nt 2.0, i was told by the guy they would fit, and i looked at both of them closely to see how diff or the same, and they came off a 96 gst, so would they fit on my talon? and advise helps.
wow we should organize and take this guy out in the middle of the desert and go "apeshit" on him just like they do in office space with the printer:hellyeah:
i actually got a set of tokico lowering springs and coils to put on, but i work construction so im always to tired after work to put them on, o and i need to get that darn door panel fixed, it looks so ghetto, anyone have any ideas?
hey guys, I ended up getting a killer deal on these rims and tires, I know the brand of rims but cant remember for the life of myself, but the tires are Yokohama, and the guy I got them from said he paid 250 for each tire then 200 for each rim, and I ended up buying them from him for 250 for all...
i ended up cutting it down about 1 1/2 and it honestly feels great, it is a little harder to shift, but it feels for intact if you know what i mean, thanks guys
ok kool thanks for the advice on the bushings, ive never thought about those, ill have to check those 2mrw, and my car already had the short shifter in when i bought my car, and i honestly dont drive my car very hard, because i just put a brand new engine in my car and honestly spend way to much...
so do you think it would be better to not cut out so much, and even if it ends up being to low, i have the exact same thing already in my car, so the only thing would suck is that i paid for it and then couldn't use it
OK i just bought a new short shifter from bodykits.com and when it came in, i found out that its the exact same thing i have in my car already, so i was wondering if i modified it to were it shows the the pic, i mean cut the Xd part out and weld it back together, if it would work correctly, and...

ive got a 92 nt and im looking for the best way to make the most hp with out breaking the bank, i know these motors you cant do a whole lot to, but im welling to give it a shot.
o i am totally looking to do turbo, i use to have a 95 gs that i made turbo and it was a beast, i am just really low on funds right at this point and looking to just do what i can until i do go turbo, and also when i do end up putting a turbo kit on my 4g63, were do i run the oil lines from?
yea i have the plugs, wires, a 4-2-1 header, full back exhaust, when i bought the car it didn't have a cat on it, and only had a stock muffler, so i got the took off and put exhaust, would it be wise to go ahead and put a cat back on it, because i have heard from many people that you need a cat...

1st off im just wondering why would you try to stick a rag that you knew was small in a hole that is in the intake? but just like trav83 said, hopefully your lucky enough if its still in there that youll just have to remove the manifold. thats just my 2 cents
on the 1gs the sensor is on the in side of the air box, and i was told you can upgrade that sensor to have an inline sensor so you could actually do a true CAI, but i was wondering if theres and easier way.
im planing of puting a CAI on my 92 talon 2.0 nt and i was wondering ### i could do about the air sensor that is in that ### air box. im wondering ### kind of sensor i could replace it with to do a true CAI. any help would be awesome, and what is is the best way to do it with out breakin the bank?
ive got a 92 talon n/t 2.0 and ive heard a few people say that theres vaccum lines that you dont need and ones that u do, im looking to clean up my engine compartment alil and if anybody has advice about ### vaccum lines i can take it and that it wont hurt anything, thanks
it happened to me a weeks ago at the track wen i first ran my 1g, i was just thinking rigging it with a rubber band or something, cus all the videos i got, my dam wipers are just bookin lol
ive got a 92 n/t and im lookin into buying a 93 tsi awd and wondering how hard it would be to just convert my n/t into awd, what parts would i need to change or custimize for this to work properlly? the 93 tsi doesnt have the egine, trans, or somputter, so i know i could just put my n/t egine in...
