Hey guys I ended up using the JB on it since I had to get to work the next day and it was 8:30 at night but good news though. It has been holding perfectly for the whole time. When I did put it on the leaky spot I made sure to give it 6 hours to cure. In that 6 hours I pushed the putty into the...
So what happened was i just bought a sweet triple row radiator for 166 shipped from ebay. The brand is champion ship racing(bought it since it had a liftime warranty). No this isnt a product review but it is very solid and fits snug. Now when i was putting it in i accidently punctured one of the...
Not worth it at all. U can grab a fmic from ebay with metal ends for a couple bucks. Pretty inexpensive and good quality from what i hear. I have a Buscher Fmic :cool:so i cant say first hand.
I preffer non ABS for awd cars. If your sliding in a storm or ice there's really nothing the ABS is going to do to keep you from sliding. I dont have it on my laser and I love that I can stop when I want to on a dime and not feel a pulsating rock tumbling in my break line lol. All on your...

If that aint the answer you could possibly have a bad motor mount but I have never heard of a motor mount ruining cv's so fast. Is it just ripping the rubber boot on the axel causing it to spill out the grease??
Yeap, there should be no gas being used thus givin you a lean mixture. Are you sure you wideband isn't to close to you exhuats mani or it isn't angled 20-30* causing it to get built up with sut? What kind of external wb you using? Also if your using dsm link the fc offset will help you with...
Car runs perfect! Has no leaks, has consistent A/F mixtures that are on the money and coolant is staying level!A warning to people that are new to this. Even if the guy takes a flat bar and sticks the gaping tool with the smallest thickness just get it resurfaced. Even if he thinks its...
Alright guys I finally managed to score a cluster with 98k for 35$. :rocks:Fixed all my problems. I can now use the FC offset, launch control, and everything else. If anyone else has this problem and has made sure that there cable is in working condition replace your cluster and you'll be...
Yup for 1G's this is almost always the solution. I've see this happen countless amouts of times. I did mine and just put it right on the outside. Best way just tape off the area and put a line of the silicone and run it in with you finger. Peal off the tap and Bam! No More Leaky!
I just got this problem on my 1G. I found ripps along my CV boots and leaking grease all over! If you check around your boots and see it leaking thats your problem! It only cost 30$ and thats a cheap fix :)!!! I hope this helps someone out.
I havent gotten to checking on the cable yet but I did remeber that it was in good condition and not ripped anywhere (atleast through the fire wall).Clutch just started slipping so gotta take care of that now. I'll try to get it out tomorrow if i have time after work and inspect it alittle more...
Just another point to point out since no one said anything. Oversizing your valves hurts you car unless you trying to go 8's or 9's down the QM( you would need a monster turbo and over 7-800 hp). You cannot utilized the extra airflow so there is no actuall advantage of oversizing them for your...
I think Im just going to swap over the gauges n find something close to my millage. Any chance that the Non turbo manual gauage will work on a turbo model? I dont care about the boost gauge since i have a mechanical one.You to man! Never see these plymouths anymore. We got the rare gems...
Yea thats exactly why i dont want to mess with it till I find some good info on it. I read posts tho of people replacing them and not having to change clusters. I just want to see if theres any way I can keep mine. Hard to find another cluster with 113k on it or close to that.Yea I'm 100%...
Yea I have a code 24, check engine light flashing all the time. Needle is jumping around like crazy, I took the gauge cluster apart but couldnt find an actual link with an explanation of where its located. RPM not reading in dsmlink too. All that leads me to believe it must be the reed switch...
Ok so there's about 4 threads about this but they all end with an archived Vfaq that no longer works. Does anyone know where this dam reed switch is located inside of the cluster?? Cant find it for the life of me.
I have Weisco's. I like them so far but If i had everything apart I'd spend the extra coin for the Venolia. Whats a couple extra bucks for peice of mind and performace.
Yes I know that but I thought that when you bought this tool you could just place it in and then put the timing belt on it.:nono: This is not the case, I did the timing without it and got it all lined up. After this was all done then I put the cam gear holder to make sure the timing is good. I...
Head all redone and everything got resurfaced. Had a small dip near the coolan passage so this should in theory sold that coolant problem.I bought the gates belt :), alittle more but why go cheap on the timing belt. I bought the timing belt cam holder to make sure all the marks will line up...
4G?, I hope you meant 1G lol. He's got one in the shop. Not really sure the type it is, its def not a cnc machine or anything crazy like that.Should i really need a new timing belt? It barely touched and didnt even really go deap n just barely scrapped the top. I can barely feel any kind of...
Went to the shop and saw my head apart(Really Really cool the way the head is designed). He's going to replace everything and redue the valve guides and seals again, replace all the valve seals, and do the oil port job. I asked him how much and he said $50 to resurface the head. Hellz yea...
I just emailed this to the guy doing my head after i book marked it and he was impressed how thoroughly you went into detail!I think my head's going to be perfect this time :D
Update:
Just talked to him and he said he'll do both mods for free, KickA$$!
I took it to the machinist yesterday and he thinks its a bad valve guide. He's going to take it back apart and redue it and see if he can find if that was 100% the reason. The guy seems very competent and has a great rep for building heads.
I told him I wanted the head to be resurfaced but he...
Very unlikely, remeber this only controlls the accessory belts. This nothing to do with the timing belt.
There is a slim chance that this could happen but very unlikely. You would need to have your lower timing belt cover off for the contact of those belts to do any significant damage. Even...
I cant see the pics at work, are you using a keyspan?
Did you restart your mac after you installed the drivers. Mine kept missing the port till I restarted it.Once your light turns a solid green, you'll be connected! Good Luck
Good news guys. The machinist is def backing his work :thumb:.
I ordered all the new parts and I could not believe extreme PSI got the order out that day! These guys are def going to get a great vendor review from me!:hellyeah:After I get all the timing belt tools I'll tear the car down...
Thats a good idead but doubt that I can find someone around here that will let me use one. I'm going to buy one if I find one for a good deal. Money's tight cause im still in college. But wrenchin on dsm's is free :thumb: ROFL.An update:
I pulled the exhaust manifold and I can see black...
@BugusSVO
No the head has never been resurfaced. Yea the thought of it sealing itself was more of a dream answer then a reality lol.
Just finished reading all of those! Excellent Info! Plus I read the other ones about enlarging the oil port hole where the head stud goes through! I will...
@TALON2GBUYER
Yea I'm deffinetly going to use the composite HG again since it is OEM and as you said will fill any imperfections.@NWHTanK
A cooling pressure test would be clutch! Unfortunatly I cant find any of those to even rent around here! Online there alot of money so I cant go that...
Alright guys, I started the car without the thermostat and its pasing coolant through the block perfectly. I still have a leak though so I'm thinking im going to have to change the HG no matter what I do. Is there any chance it will seal up by itself or not?
Hello all!
Let me get right into whats going on. The main issue is that coolant is not flowing through my head. I noticed this when I first started my car and after a good 30 Min the top tof the radiator was steaming!! Yes steaming because coolant wasn't flowing. Top hose is extremely hot but...
Thanks for the advice guys but I found a Huge Problem... I rebuilt the whole motor using the same head that got rebuilt with new valves, seals, ect ect but it did not get resurfaced (dam machine shop said it was fine). Welp guess not, for some reason the coolant is building pressure up top in the...
I forgot to put in my bio that I have evo 560cc's in there. I put the dead time as zero because on one of the videos on dsm link had almost the same setup so I left that alone. Should I make any adjustments? For some reason the car keeps ending up changing the ISC position after I turn the car...
Hello guys I been using V2 DSMLink on my 92 laser and want to know if any of you guys can critique my first tune. Its in closed loop mode but is the o2 supposed to look that far apart during cycling?
Have you replaced your HG by any chance? I only ask because Im having the exact problem! The top hose gets really hot and has a lot of pressure but no flow to the bottom of the rad like it should(but there's pressure WTF).
It's like a dam mystery, I have come to the conclusion is probably the...
