You can use this to give you an estimate of what your compression could be.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cylinder-head-short-block/363894-compression-ratio-terms-psi.html
I bought wrangler parts from a guy who drove a green tsi w/ rpf1 rims. If your on here, I'm the one who bought the skyjacker 4" lift kit from you. If your on here, maybe we could meet up and work on both our jeeps and dsms hehe.
Make sure your camshaft dowel pins are at the top position. From the picture, it doesn't seem like your using the right timing marks, with that position, the cam timing will be 180* off.
He won? Impossible!! *Checks NHRA rule book* :aha:I knew it, nothing about teleportation :notgood:. ~ GTOAwesome run, what was your 60' on that run anyways?
I had a crank break on me. Its not a stroker but I figure I'll just post it anyways.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-parts-feedback-reviews/403071-crankshaft-rebuilders-inc.html
I also have the Delta "hks clone" 272/272's installed with shims, you can definitely feel it pull harder all the way up. Even with my 14b, It shows an increase in airflow compared to the stock profile cams. My spool characteristics seems to be unchanged. My vacuum did change from 18-19 in Hg to...

Lol I got that too, both 1g and 2g dipsticks, Also have the dipstick tubes if needed. Like I said, come to the weekly meeting in Bellevue if your interested in picking it up, I'll always bring a trunk full of parts to sell to fellow dsmers.
A stroker build would give you more low end torque.A stock motor with a t25, 13g or even better, a 14b would give you low end torque since it spools near instantly.
the easiest way to pull/put back the motor is to remove/put both motor and tranny together.Just remember to label the wires and to put the bolts in a ziplock or similar and label it aswell. This is for a 1g but most of the steps are also 2g related.Removing Engine from the Car
I bought that rebuild crankshaft just to save money on my first build..Everything was mic, plastigauge, lubed, and torqued properly.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-parts-feedback-reviews/403071-crankshaft-rebuilders-inc.html
I bought arp cam gear bolts to go with my fidanza gear. There wasn't any torque spec included with the package and it doesn't seem that they have it on their website either. Can I use factory torque settings or does anyone know the actual arp recommended torque value? Thanks,
Jerry
Yea the link that map sells is the one that replaces the whole entire line (from master to slave).I have the one that replaces the rubber line (accumulator to slave cylinder). I prefer my current setup since it keeps the hard line.Edit: Is your rubber line cut or the actual metal line that...
I had similar problem before. But it was the axle cotter pin. I just used a nail (with point shaved off) similar size to the hole. Took my big c clamp+10mm deep sock and clamp the nail until it went through the other side.
Lotek A-Pillar Gauge Pods (2G DSM) - Modern Automotive PerformanceI picked the 2 pod pillar since imo, gives a sleeker look. It also replaces the stock oem pillar, pick the one with your interior color. As far as installation, you would have to drill and use two screws to secure it down. Then...
Yes, that was included with the agreement with my machinist to check the valve springs for any wears or fatigue, they tested out better then the evo sets I have originally bought for this mild build, the evo sets I have, have roughly around 140k or so miles on it and the springs I have on the...
These are the hks regrind clones. They also included the cam profile sheets for both intake and exhaust and a shirt (which was nice). I have stock springs and engnbldr stainless valves.
Yea those shims are installed correctly, and new 3g lifters are bled properly (bled them suckers 3 times, which took nearly 2 hours to do) peace of mind I guess. You know what I'll just post pics of the cam seals. you tell me which is option is the proper way to install them so you guys have...
Hi, I'm in the process of putting my motor together. I just received my 272's from Delta, and new oem cam seals.I was wondering if the cam seals install flush against the inner cam cap (push the cam seal in until you can't push it anymore) or flush against the cam cap? Also, does the cam...
I'm currently putting together my new build and I also had my balance shaft deleted. Was wondering if anyone needed to port the oil relief on a forward facing oil filter housing from a might max to cure high oil pressure.

I got a non-cruise control from my local pullapart/picknpull for $2 a couple years ago. It bolted on without any modification.I got it from a 87-92 1.5l colt/summit, I'm certain your local junkyard has a couple of those.
Mate it with the balance shaft gear and it should sit flush. From the picture you made, "Away from the block" would be the right way to install the plate.
You can install the bearing in any position as long as the bearing hole and block oil port do not line up when doing a bse. I installed my bearings, where the hole is pointed upwards (away from the oil port hole on the block).
I was still living in Guam at the time. I went through a couple typhoons. The one in 2002 Super Typhoon Pongsona was probably the worst one I've experienced. No power for months after that typhoon hit. Took down wood and metal electrical poles. (which also blocked off the main highways)...
The crankkey for the 2g are removable and I guarantee yours is too. I just replaced my crankkey on my newly polished crankshaft recently.Get a flat head, hammer and pop that thing out and reinstall it correctly. Its not a big problem at all..If you can't get it out, then take a vice grip...
