Your profile says N/T so you should be fine with less parts breaking. Try driving around with a fully built Dsm and something goes wrong. I have to get 1 of 10 females to pay for it :p
I had the same issue recently in my 2g. I put a new t-stat in (180*), drained all the rad fluid out of it, than I added about 70% water, and 30% antifreeze. I also cut my front bumper about 2 inches upwards and the same width of the mouth. Driving around I can get lower than 190 temp and at idle...
Thoughts on the dyno sheet and the log I took yesterday on the street while in 2nd. I made 404awhp and 328TQ with 93 pump. 2.3L 6bolt, PTE 5557 bolt on housing, JMF Swim, Kelfords 272, 1050cc injectors, etc etcI thought I would see more TQ than 328
So weight adds a load, the greater the piss the higher th stall. So adding weight will for sure add stall regardless. Some reading - http://www.clickclickracing.com/forums/showthread.php?1163-AOD-LOCKUP-vs-NON-LOCKUP-Torque-Converters
I believe it started to move before 2,500 rpms on the street surely. I would contact Sinister Speed, tell them what you want, and your build plan for they could give you feedback.
I forgot the exact number but it did take more compared to the IPT converter. I also used John Deere Hy-Gard Transmission and Hydraulic Oil in my transmission.
Im not sure exactly what you are asking because I got to hold the brake to brake boost lol but at about 4k the footbrake is the max but with the ebrake its slightly over 4,500k.You mean downshift into 1st? I make sure Im completely stopped before I go into first with my shiftbox
I kept the same setup and changed TC from IPT to sinister Speed. IPT I was limited to 2,000 no matter how long I held my brake and e brake. Meaning I was never in boost coming off the line. Sinister Speed I would get about 4,000 with the foot brake and ebrake 4,500. It took a little longer for...
A shift box helps a lot. Doesn't matter what turbo you use since you have control of your shift points. A stalled converter wouldn't hurt. I use both and seen a difference using one over the other as well as together. Car runs better using a stalled converter with my shift boxThe top end...
Im assuming I need more miles on it. So I started driving it around town more to get more miles on it.It grabs and releases fine as long as I dont get on it hard. Im going to give it another 1-2 weeks of break in. I have a feeling it could be the ACT flywheel. If I see no difference after...
I put my GSX on the dyno and I'm having clutch issues. I have a new ACT flywheel, a South Bend Clutch, and when the tuner gets to 13psi on a 5557 about 3500rpms the clutch slips every single time while in gear. Stage 3 TMZ tranny, new oem tb, new slave n master.Any thoughts?
I run a fully built IPT transmission, a sinister speed TQ (brake boost to over 4.5k), road surge shift box(9.2K shifts), and I run John Deere Hy-Gard Hydraulic/Transmission Oil. This year I would install a tranny cooler with an electric fan and AEM tranny temp gauge.I feel my tranny is...
I know if money is an issue you could actually find a good HX40 with the BEP turbine for $500. If u decide to go without the batmowheel you would spend much less than the PTE and use the extra $500+ towards something else.
I know a better IC was in the plan and taking weight off wouldnt hurt but I just wanted to know what they are expecting the difference to be changing the wheel back. I'm just assuming they want to make some type of record with the 6blade cast wheel or have some type of comparison between the two...
I personally hated my 13g but I loved my 16g. The 16g seem to spool just as fast but hit even better mid n high compared to the 13g. Lots of fun on the streets
What do you think weight savings would be?I want to get this one-https://secure.buschurracing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1783&osCsid=b3d0609d7ce3169ff71c11673e391f56
