This is the correct answer. The answer to your question may not be what you want to hear, but it doesn't mean it's wrong/bad. If you have a wideband rely on that for your readings, if your boost guage isn't working maybe there is something wrong with the guage and not your 02's.
Excellent numbers you're nearly in the 500hp club! I'm curious how much impact the hx40 compressor has to improve your numbers over a hx35 wheel. Also have you tried running a stock 1g intake to see the hp and torque difference?
Justin,I have a 5031e with a precision .63 housing and internal wastegate set-up. I also have a 3076r with a precision .63 housing. Would I be able to remove the internal wastegate set-up ie, flapper, arm, and gate from my 5031e and use it on my 3076r? I do realize an external gate would suit...
Are you sure you aligned the timing belt properly? Sounds like it is off a tooth. Did you replace your timing belt before it broke or after? If you replaced it after it broke did you verify that you don't have any bent valves? When you replaced your MAF did you connect it back up? Have you done...
I had pretty much the same experience. I purchased my 98 gsx out of state and picked it up there in Connecticut. The car drove perfectly for about 100 miles. Then the radiator went bad, the alternator, and the alternator belt all at the same time. Tow the car home and then it seemed to be one...
Maybe you would be better off buying a new car with a warranty and leaving it stock. Older cars will break and they will cost money to fix; the more you modify/ enhance the performance the more risk you are taking of having it break.
I don't blame you for being overwhelmed. Having one extensive build is hard enough but two at the same time good grief. I think the most simplistic way to handle this situation is to check dyno sheets or track times from a car you wish to emulate, and plagerize the heck out of their set-up. Just...
Both motors have been known to last a while making good power, so long as proper maintenance is done, good tuning, and it's built right. If you have the motor out and just want to ease your mind, I say go for the 6-bolt; but really it's 6 one way half the dozen the other in terms of longevity.
I would talk with an engine builder on this, from my way of thinking if the stroke is changed then the rods will need to be shorter, since they now have less distance to travel per each engine cycle. So you will get away with running evo pistons but will need to run the rods that have the length...
Yes, by his very post he described that there was a difference between his turbo flywheel and the NA one he found. You should have your old flywheel resurfaced if possible and try that.
I'm hoping someone who has actually used this brand of turbo would chime in. Not all turbos from China are the same. For example both Precision and Garret, as far as I know, have components in their turbos that are manufactured in China.
Has anyone tried this particular Turbo. I know many people have used others such as the knock-off 35r's, evo 3, and 20 gs but I'm hoping someone with experience directly with the OBX Green can chime in and fill me in on their experience with it.
Crankshaft will fit a 7 bolt (evo is lighter), valve springs and retainers, pistons (slightly lower compression than 2g pistons) rods fit for a 7 bolt, bearings will work, oil filter housing. Cams will not work. MAF sensor can work. Wheels fit. Turbo will work with extensive modification!^...
