So after using the search I found one thread about reprogramming the Homelink remote in the driverside sun visor. But after doing what it says, it still doesn't work. I hold down the two outter buttons and wait about 20 sec. till the light starts flashing. Then I let off and press and hold...
OK the other day I changed the oil (5w50 mobile1) and put in new plugs(ngk bpr7es) and wires (accel thunger 300). On the drive home from the garage everthing seemed to be good. but all of a sudden it started stuttering, kinda like someone was tapping on the brakes really fast. The check...
There wouldn't be a need to vent anyway. Well, depending on the turbo...you'll need a new intake. With hard ic pipes and intake your bov will be loud returning to the intake track. I have a type-s and it sounds the same, and is just as loud vented or returned.
I wouldn't worry about it than. You can clean that up with a mbc, but it's not going to hurt anything. I'm running the same bov with the t-25 and it spikes to about the same level. Just make sure that you adjust it to get rid of as much compressor surge as possible.
I've been cruising this site for awhile now, and I've noticed that a lot of people recommend this exhaust. But with the wait times and the final cost being no less than a Thermal or Apexi it's now a real toss up on what system to buy. I was going to go with the RnR system, but now I think I'll...
Personally I wouldn't run a top mount. You won't get the same results with it up there because of all the heatsoke from the engine. I would try to find a smaller side mount or a small fmic, you'll get better cooling and less chance of detination IMO.
I was in the same position when I bought my spyder. I wanted a GSX, but got a great deal on the Spyder. Now I'm ruined. I'll never buy another coupe when I can buy a convertible. But that's just me. For you, if you love the drop top and can live with the traction problems, grab another...
It depends completely on how I drive the car. Last week I got around 24 MPG, this week I installed my BOV and intake and I got about 18MPG...If I kept my foot off the gas pedal and stopped making it go pshhhh, I'd have better milage :)
Hmmm...I've never heard Pro Motion (owners of a wicked fast NEON) say we've hit 9s, we need to stop making the car faster because it's not AWD. Most cars are not AWD, they are either FWD or RWD, but that doesn't stop people from getting every ounce of power out of the motor. I look at it like...
:thumb: I think I have the same problem as you...some retard stuck a turboed engine in my spyder...what in the hell where they thinking :pSeriously, not sure what you mean by "small" intake, but I assume you mean it doesn't look like the N/A eclipse do. This is normal for all turboed...
Actuaully you don't remove the BCS, you remove a little piece of plastic in the lower nipple...a restrictor. And yes it gives you a few more psi, I went from .8 BAR to 1 BAR on my boost gauge after removing the restictor. As far as the dump tube...I took mine out but after all was said and...
See, this is why I love the DSM community. Ask a simple question and get flamed becasue it's not popular. Want to try and be differant, you need to buy a differant car, because if it isn't in the VFAQ or the tuning guide, than it's not worth doing :rolleyes:If you want duel exhaust do it...
Both springs? I hope you ment to say one spring. Anyway, Thanks for the input, I just hate hearing the sound of my turbo getting f#$%ed up, so it looks like I'm going to run with what I have. Peace
Alright, what would I gain from doing this? When I have both springs in, I get mad compressor surge at low boost. This is my daily driver and I'm not florring it from stop light to stop light. The only reason I could see needing both springs is to vent to the atmosphere, so there's no leaking...
Alright in the mean time I found this intersting. When I have the lower nipple disconnected, and the small spring removed, I leak at idle. When I give it some gas, it snaps shut until I remove the throttle, at which point it blows open. So this makes me think that when the throttle plate is...
Well I tried connecting the lower nipple. Boost spiked to 20psi and it still had surge. So I just I unhooked it, and decided to just live with it. Right now I have the small spring out, and it's set at about 1 turn from full soft. Seems to work ok, almost no surge at all.
Ok so I just finished putting on my Greddy type-s on my dejon uic pipes, and I installed my injen intake. Now after installing I'm out driving around and I hear a fluttering sound. I assume this is compressor surge. So I backed out the adjustment screw all the way, and still hear it at low...
If you want to hear your bov than buy a hard intake pipe. It's that easy. I just installed my Injen the other day and I can hear the STOCK bov clear as day. It was a rather unexpected suprise. Can't wait to get my type-s on. Later
Question for ya on that blitz setup. With the optional SBC harness (not sure if you have it) can you tap into the RPM signal and have it displayed to find out spool levels at differant RPM levels? Thanks.
I'm sick of hearing this. "Altezzas are played out" "wings are played out" "everyone has them" Who cares? So since a lot of people run a 16g turbo is it "played out"? Who cares what everyone runs on there car, if it's what you want get it and don't let people change your mind or get you down...
So I came into some money, and I'm looking to go all out on my boost/engine managment system. I've been looking at a few differnt ways to go and just wanted to get some input from other people. Here are the systems I'm looking into..1. Blitz SBC-ID, Power Meter I-D, and DSMlink. This is...
Ahhh, right on. After reading that and looking again, those are good points. But for what I'm running (t-25 will be upgrading to T-28) I'm not sure that the intake size will make that much of a differance. After all the ic piping is only 2 1/4. But I am a little concerned about the size of...
OK looked at Dejon, they are $140 and don't have the nipples on them like the stock. So I don't see how it's any better. So after all the replies, I still have no answer. I guess I'll just get the 100 ebay intake and run with it. Thanks.
I know man, the question that I was asking was, what do you think of that pipe compared to the injen pipe. I know I would need the filter. But thanks for your replies. So back to the question, is it worth getting, or spend the little extra for the Injen. Either way I'll be buying a...
I just happen to find this on ebay...wanted thoughtshttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2410838458&category=10368I was planning on getting the injen a little later, but may just pick this one up. Thoughts?
Go with a GSX, what ever year you can find to fit your bugget. Don't worry about crankwalk, if it happens it will happen, doesn't matter what year 2G you get. I would have bought a GSX but I looked all over for a GSX Spyder and couldn't find one :p
I know that the Blitz SBC spec-r, SBC DC and the SBC-ID will hold up to 2.5 bars (36psi). These specs are from the Blitz website. Can't find the info on the AVC-R or the Greddy.
Then you should stop hiding under your hood :p I had an 01 GT and had no problem getting it up to 140. If I remember correctly it'll top out not far from there though, fastest I had mine was 150ish and it wasn't going to go much faster. And all I had was a CAI. A 3G GT is not slow...just...
Got my own answer. A little over half the page down..http://www.wholehyper.com/kits1-main.htmlDoesn't give a name, but it's what I'm looking for. Thanks to all of those who replied.
Right on, now can you give me the link to the original post of that quote. Or if you know how much that importfan (assuming they sell it) charges for it. Thanks.
