i love the way my PR looks. no, gaps, looks agressive, after having someone else drive my car behind me i know why mustangs lose interest after the pass me on the freeway, too bad really. ill try to get some front shots for you tomorrow...
sorry, just now got around to checking back on this post, i can't remember when, it was a week or two before the post i think, but it was like 3 2g's and a couple 1g's i think... ive heard about the meet up at the NEX, unfortunately it is a little late, i am married with two kids, so it...
i've had no issues with my PR. i'm running 25psi on a 16G measured from the intake manifold and have 0 knock with 92 on a 4th gear pull and an ambient air temp of 80*+. i've also never had a pipe blow off either. for the price i really can't complain. i don't have track times with it because...
speaking of the roads... i was actually on base (schofield) driving down a road at about 20mph when i hit a pothole hidden by a shadow... i ended up snapping all three studs on the driver side motor mount... that was a fun day... but there are a lot of great places for photo ops, the problem is...
thanks for the comments. ive been meaning to get around to touching up the bumper, i had an excuse why i was waiting but for some reason i cant remember what it was, hahaha... the vent works decently, especially just sitting at idle, you can see the mirage of the heat just pouring out of it.
the roads aren't the kindest here... the vent i did myself actually. i have a tubular manifold so there was a lot of heat getting trapped under there when i was stuck in traffic.
i've been meaning to get around to it for awhile, and i finally got some nice pics of the car with the hawaii beach in the background. need to get some paint one of these days.<a href="http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t206/easysbox/?action=view¤t=GSXBeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img...
sounds like plug gap... i was able to talk the guy down $800 bucks when i got my car because it would misfire up around 5k with the t25... after i got it home i pulled the plugs, which he said he had replaced recently, gapped them down and the car ran perfect.
i was hoping to avoid putting the stock dp back on, especially since i have my wideband in my rear o2 spot, crap this sucks, hahaha. its almost tempting to ditch the 16g in favor of something else if i have to go to an external setup to control the boost.
i have a E3 16G with a obx tubular manifold, megan recirculating o2, catless 3" dp, and 3" cat back, needless to say i have boost creep. i am trying to set it at 20psi but i keep creeping up to 23/24 psi before i let off around 5500 in 3rd gear. it is a little frustrating, i am wondering, if i...
did you have this problem prior to your audio install? low current/bad grounds can wreak havoc on the ecu/sensors/actuators/ect... if it does turn out to be the turbo, you can find a used oe for a decent price...
I'm about at wits end with my clutch... I have adjusted it everyway I can think of and can't fix it... the pedal feel gets insanely hard to push, however, if I don't let it out fully, only let it cone up about 80%, I can push it back in with ease, like it should be... I don't get it, I have the...
it can be removed, the car will run fine, you will end up throwing a cel, though, and the reason the shop wouldn't remove it, is because it is part of the emissions equipment
flywheel, not flexplate, automatics have flexplates, similar to a flywheel but lighter and the torque converter bolts to it. i haven't had any experience with that clutch, but have you looked into a spec clutch, ive had a couple and have nothing but good things to say about them and they were...
hahaha, im just curious and dealing with it in my own way... insomnia sucks.... and i came from the scion wold that became full of ricers that were, yeah... anyways :P
honestly, i have no idea, i never dynoed, i would have to guess at least 160... hahaha, i know it sounds pathetic, but for a 1.5 short ratio 5 sp, it was perky... as far as the fits go, thats why i hate honda, they cn swap any motor into any platform :P
okay, this is for all you dsmr's out there that have a hard time falling asleep... post whatever, bs about whatever... me, i am stuck in hawaii, but my car is in wa, and i have an ass load of parts arriving, ie, evo 16g, pr fmic, aem wideband, and a slew of other parts i cant wait to install...
okay, who knows if this pertains to anyone, but i was diagnosed bi polar II... i was just wondering if anyone else shares the same affliction, and what they do to deal with it. i mean honestly, for me, working on my car helped me a lot, but i was just wondering what everyone else who deals with...
a $100 worth of stickers ROFL sorry i couldn't help myself... but no, just start turning up the boost and follow the proper guidlines to do it, ie fuel contro, mbc, logger... ect...
yeah bro, i was able to talk the guy down $800 when i got my gsx because it was "jerky"... i had the same problem in my GTP before when i increased the boost, took me awhile to figure out it was because the plugs were gapped too wide and it was blowing out the spark... a quick regapping of the...
in not trying to start anything, but it isn't rocket science when it comes to installing boost gauges. i have had 3 on 3 different vehicles. of those three, they have failed on two. one supercharged one turbocharged. all three worked fine at first, and then two started giving false readings and...
the first good sign was that he could see well enough to post a thread on it... i second the eye pro though, i got tired of getting fluid and metal shavings in my eyes, eye pro will help you out a lot, though not fool proof...
the eaton blower on the gtp is decent sized, after all it feeds a 3.8l v6 and is capable of quite a few psi on that motor, i had mine up to about 12psi. what about a smaller blower, like the one off of the cobalt, or similar...
another crappy problem, our radiator necks like to break off too... my wife was driving my car and ended up leaving a smoke screen on her way home... now i have an aluminum radiator and samco hoses on the way... just have to wait till i get home to install them, along with a slew of other parts...
here is a thread i was reading where i guy was thinking about swapping the 3kvr4 motor... http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/206614-twin-turbo-v6-1g-eclipse.html
i had a GTP, fantastic motor... considering the time and money that would go into the swap, i doubt the 3.4 would give you better milage, and even if it did give you say a few more mpg's, look at the additional cost of the swap as opposed to just dropping a stock long block into it, you still...
