Sorry to bring up the dead but I know I have a 2g maf but I wanna make sure its compatible before I install it. The only numbers any where are PBT-G30 on the bottom. That silver sticker is there but all the numbers have rubber off. Any help?
I thought vagcom cables were only for vws and audis. Vag=Volkswagen Audi Group. Please dont flame im just trying to learn. My roommate is a vw guy so I hear about vagcom all the time.
Really, I bought the car from some guy and it ran really good. I was just refreshing my block and checking it out while I tuck my bay. So can those be reused or should i get some better one?
I need some advice on reusing these rods. There are no grooves that catch my fingernail and the crank looks amazing. Ive done some research and believe that polishing them up should do the trick. Theres also some discoloration on the rods. Should i be worried? Thanks in advance.
:hmm: you might wanna check your math on that one, and it would be fine for his goals. But its definitely smarter to get link because of how much more you can do.
Try to use the search function next time:) I use redline 75w-90 and mt 90, Reno gets pretty cold and it works wonderful.Visual Frequently Answered Questions - Home Page

Ouch. Did you gift the payment? If not do what JusMX141 and file a complaint. Also you could leave negitive feedback to warn future buyers. I always check the feedback before taking the next step. Good luck buddy.
12cm would probably be your best bet since your stroked. Which bep housing? The 12cm is close to .89 a/r IIRC. But you get better spool time with the twin scroll so you don't have to rev so high.
Hey guys Im going to be putting a set of comp 101200(272) in my car. I have read mixed reviews on evo springs so Ive decided those arent for my setup, but I will be using evo retainers. My question is which springs I should go with? Ive narrowed my decision to two sets BC 1100 or Manley...
I know I didn't bend valves by hand. But after I thought it jumped timing it was a lot harder to turn the crank over, like a valve was touching. I'll remove the cams tomorrow and do the test. Thanks for the help guys.
I didn't know with the cams in valves would be open.
:ohdamn: No it didn't jump timing while running, but when I was taking the motor apart I'm pretty sure I made it jump time. I spun it by hand a couple time after that. The marks on the pistons are minimal it looks as tho it just brushed the soot off. Ill post pictures tomorrow after the leakdown...
Ok so I pulled my head off to replace gaskets and and such. It looks like I bent some valve:notgood: the rocker arms aren't loose at all and the rest of the valves are closed. Both side seem to be open the same distance. I wanted some input and had some questions.
1. can I just replace the...
Come on Bud, you know there is a tool made for rounded bolt right? I have the set and it has yet to failed me.Bolt Extractors - Screw & Bolt Extractors - Tools - IRWIN TOOLS
That's dope man. You should keep us updated with it. There was another member with a kit car like that, his is 4g63t powered and is awesome. How much was that shell? As for the turbo, what are you plans for the car?
Ok sweet. What would you recommend for cleaning purposes? I've got some 80 grit glass bead media and walnut shell laying around. Can all these parts go in the blasting cabinet?
Hey Justin I picked up this big h1c for 130:hellyeah:. 8/12 blade 54mm/83mm compressor. There is no shaft play and the wheels look good to my eyes, but I had a couple questions. First off there seems to be some chips along the bottom of the wheel, but they look like their supposed to be there...
A 1/4 20 is the size of a bolt. It is a little bigger and different threads than the regular bolt. I used rtv and a 1/4 20 bolt for a quick fix before. Cover the bolt in rtv and thread it in. You'll need a new pan or thread a bigger bolt.
:nono:Whoa that's not even close to slammed, haha.
I think it looks good, but I would go lower. Even drop all the way around. If you don't like how low it is try and find a pair of "coilover sleeves" that fit your setup and put them in so you can raise it up a little. You have a nice 2g tho:thumb:
So where should we get rebuild kits? Im also going to rebuild my h1c, I was going to purchase the kit from gpopshop for 89$. But if there's a cheaper kit please let me know.
I just did a lot of research on clutch kits for my build. In my research I came across reviews on all the kits and it seems(from what I read) that findanza and act are pretty darn close in quality. Southbends reviews are Damn good but the price got me the same with the duel friction clutches. I...
Ok so it didn't jump timing, the bolt fit perfectly between the gears. They teeth would have snapped first. It seems that the crank is spinning more freely than before this happened. And the crank only turned a bit maybe 1/2 a turn. I still have to grind at some flywheel bolts and get these...
Ok so I was attempting to remove my flywheel, but the previous owner tack welded the bolts down. So I took a grinder to them. I got 3 bolts down and I heard the sound of a bolt snapping, no bolts snapped but the crank turned over. The 1/2" driver I was using to hold the crank pully had fallen...
What sizes did you get? I'm in the process of a mini tuck/rewire. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/364498-rerouting-engine-wiring-harness.html do you think I could get away with the 10 feet or should I just man up and get the larger one?
There is one for sale in the classifieds for 60 bucks, I just got mine for 90. Doesn't seem to be stupid amount of money. Just sayin.Other than that looks great make a heat shield and wrap that thing.
