this will be sick, i live like 4 miles away.
I just moved here a few months ago, and have been looking for a new dsm lately. Once i find one and buy it ill be showing up every 2nd saturday
lol...there should definately be another meet or bbq next march or so....im moving to santa cruz in jan. and unfortunately i've gone 11 months without my dsm anymore, so ill be looking for a new one while im there
ive got a buddy with an r32 and an sti, hes got a 10inch jl w6v2 in both, and it thumps loud when you'd like it for the spl but you can turn it down and have it set to just a nice very clean beat for the sq....i would definately recommend the JL for both, kicker more for spl
haha if you hit up craigslist it will be. but yes, those boss audio speakers are garbage. Around here, those are what you find at pawnshops and walmart. Like spydermanGSX said, you get what you pay for. Goto best buy, their products are alright and are decent for the price. The pioneers...
kickers are awesome IMO. the l7 will DEFINATELY thump like a mofo. I installed a lot at best buy and loved the results every time. I personally prefer JL but, as a second choice Kicker would be right there, you wont be upset (that is, if you have a nice amp to power that monster)
interesting. i DEFINATELY would not get the BOSS speakers. I worked at best buy in the install bay for a year and a half until i came down here to goto college. but anyway, if you're not trying to spend too much, look around for some used alpine type r's. alpines are decent, and good for the...
if you have one lead on the ground, and the other on the source that you're checking, turn the lights from low to high, see what changes and then at least you'll kind of know which wire does what, or at least get an idea. im not too sure on this so i'd wait for someone elses opinion as well...
Badass ride dude. Too bad everyone in my family is all about 'american muscel'....they just dont understand my little 4cyl will smoke those v8's one day
just from his BOV being cracked and i guess a major boost leak, that would cause it to kinda bog like that? my car used to do the same thing but i just cut the dump tube for the stock bov and it kinda helped. i know i just need to get a new one overall.
interesting, i cant find it on rockautoparts either...but now i feel bad haha, i'll keep looking for this as well as ask around, if i happen to find one around town ill pick it up for you. I'm sure it cant be more than a couple of dollars, ill also continue to look onlineEdit:
This is the...
its real easy man...when you test for voltage just make sure you have the negative lead on any ground, meaning any part of the chassis, maybe scratch a little paint away or you can def. use some peices of metal under the steering wheel. and if you get it wrong, all it will do is show up as (-)...
haha, get your voltmeter or a multimeter and see if you're getting 12volts if not, find another 12v source and wire it up, see if it helps. and of course check your fuses, interior and under the hood just to make sure...simple mistake but also very common. oh yea, make sure your ground wires...
If you dont mind me asking, what do you mean by 'degree' them. I've been looking into cams, for a little bit later down the road, but i don't know enough about them yet.
HAHAHAHHAHA, i havent heard someone say 'fugly' in a long time, that made me laugh. I do also agree Kris_Stewart though, that would look pretty gnarly on a white 2g
I don't know if you guys would be willing to drive out this way, but right up the road from me here in Purcellville, Va. there's this pizza place called Al's Pizza. It's owned by some romanian dude, but they have great pizza and other foods. I've been going there since i moved here back in 99'...
good point gdem69, but what about the sti's and evo's? but i definately agree, every person ive met with an srt4 thinks its baddddddassssss. my favorite thing is tell them "nice neon dude" and have them be like "ITS NOT A NEON!!! IT'S AN S-R-T-4!!!!|" all seriously haha. and a lot of my...
wow that's really awesome. ive never heard of anything like that before. props man. im sure you pissed off some of the srt4 owners HAHAH...it'd be like swapping the motors from an evo and sti, which i think would be badass hahaa
looking nice. id like to re-do my internals and all that before i get into heavy modifying. I havent quite set a goal yet, but ive got a wishlist...keep up the work and keep us posted
yeaaa, rebuilding a transmission. i'd be very skeptical about that. theres a guy in my neighborhood that just rebuilt the gearbox on his dodge stealth...no idea what it involves, but sounds complicated. Body work would kind of blow too haha, i love doing mechanical and electrical work
a dedicated server is going to be your own server, you can do whatever you want. webhosting is just going to be taking up a little room on someone else's server. if you're just trying to make a person site, or non-profit site, don't waste your money on the server. i used hostgator.com quite a...
ha. maybe if i had the extra grand laying around...actually if i did, id buy lots more for my motor...i have a huge dent in the rear quarter panel of my car...buttttt thats me. i want more motor than style, style comes later. but anyway, that does look pretty gnarly.
hahah i can only imagine...but i cant wait for it as well...ive been using the forum and vfaq mostly, a little google here and there but so far its been not too shabby.
Crimson: ive always wanted to do that, maybe just a junkyard motor and see if i can get it running, who knows
So i finally got a real look at the motor of my dsm today, and it's baddddass. It's my first car to work on as well. I've done my exhaust and all that, actually not even the whole exhaust yet :notgood: but i actually got to look in the motor and engine bay today. I got quiiiiite a bit of...
hahah mapquest estimates 2hours 8minutes and 110.82 miles. But, i'll be there soon. Everywhere I go people give me the wrong parts for my car, i needed a new thermostat housing gasket, valve cover gasket and a camshaft plug...cant get any of it without a pain in the ass. But by the end of the...
this ever go through? theres a park near where i live called Franklin Park. It's in either Purcellville or Round Hill, Va. It's 45 minutes from DC, about 20 minutes to Brunswick, Md. Pa. is not much further, and Wv is right around the corner, about 15-20 minutes. I'm not sure who i'd speak...
