are those parts the same on a 1g compressor? i got 2 perfect ones just laying around doing nothing i might be able to get to you IF they are in fact useable on a 2g
removing the balance shafts with the engine still in the car isnt THAT big a pain. just drop the motor some and youll be fine. i would always recommend removing the balance shafts as it is cheap insurance for other possible issues you can have by it failing.
i think its more of a function thing then a form. CF looks to ricey to me but hey thats just me. if i myself absolutely needed CF parts ill probably paint over it.lool just take the hood off. i know its a drag but itll be better especially if youre gonna be working on it for awhile :thumb:
im interested in this but i got a few questions and i cant reply in there.the codes listed in the link start from 11 and on and then claims that 1 long steady pulse counts as number 10. what about all the codes from 1-9??what exactly do the pulses look like and how would i go about...
are you sure that its boiling and its not just shooting steam out from the hose into the tank causing a bubbling effect that SOUNDS like boiling? if its boiling the only thing i can think of is its straight up water. are you loosing coolant at all?
dont get me wrong tho i do like fel-pro but im referring to the cheaper non "high performance" gaskets. but it basically comes down to how good of a job you do. theres just so many idiots out there who dont resurface then tighten the head studs wrong and then throw 30+psi at it and expect no...
my 14b has a bit of up and down shaft play, no in and out.ac/heater has been removed and hose is bypassed but i do have idle surge and an isc issueas far as head/block being cracked it could be. but it also could be so tiny that it doesnt affect my performance at all (no over heating, no...
how about a block test?? i was told to try one of those out since i really dont have any power loss, miss or overheating but i dont know how good/accurate that would actually be.
← ← i like vht nite shade as you can see :thumb:OP, just play a bit of scrabble and come up with a cool custom unique word with ECLIPSE letters
just because it has a high HP/huge turbo and is street legal doesnt mean its fun or easy to drive every single day. i can just imagine driving a 900hp dsm or evo thru a drive thru at mcdonalds or to go get groceries or stop and go traffic OMG warming the car up and waiting would definitely suck also
ive driven it hard for 2 days now. no power loss and no coolant in oil since the oil change. is it possible that i blew this out of proportion and thought it was more serious then it really was!? i do like to jump to conclusions and expect the worst case scenario loli tried renting a leak down...
changed the oil and checked my head studs. they were fine. heres my milkshake :Dthe oil really doesnt look TO bad. it does have a bit of whiteness on the side of the container when light shines thru it. when i pulled the drain plug it shot out like if i disconnected a water line lol never seen...
now that i think of it, i may have bought a 170 thermostat for a 2g :ohdamn:i think my car stays in warm up mode forever causing it to richen out... ill replace to a 180 or stock 195 and see what happens.
would a colder thermostat cause richness? if so, how?i do remember putting in a colder one. i dont remember exactly what temp but i know it was the next cooler one down from stock at advance auto parts.and now that i think of it... would a colder thermostat also make my radiator fan not turn...
i havent wasted a ton of cash on it YET but i got a pretty exspensive list for what i wanna do/buy when im ready to start building. i plan way WAY ahead :thumb:
mine makes a clicking noise only while making a left turn. doesnt make any noise at idle and it doesnt sound anything like in the video. its alot faster and only while moving. im guessing wheel bearing. ill have a check
this is just what i needed thanks! i dont got a wideband but its in my list of stuff to get along with dsmlink.i got my bov recirculated and a new thermostat. my car does have a super duper rough cold start though.
im trying to put together a list of stuff that will cause a very rich condition with the stock fuel system. the reason for the list is because im running extremely rich on the stock ecu and i havent done any fuel mods whatsoever to really have to tune. im just trying to figure this out...so...
