I just paid $1900 for my '90. It wasn't stock and has a blown had gasket, but it has the checkered interior and blue exterior that I've been wanting again for years so... to me it was worth it.

I bought the car with the engine already rebuilt, so I don't know what kind of work was done. But I've done plenty of leakage tests and I'm pretty confident the engine is sealed ok. I'm definitely gonna replace the turbo and fix the leak, just saving up money for that... I just don't want to...
I just bought this car from a guy who couldn't figure out this overheating problem. The car will idle for days without overheating, but as soon as it sees boost, starts pushing water out of the overflow.The engine:

I have the same problem. I'm not running a thermostat, I did a leakdown test, and the car can idle for days without overheating. Only when I start boosting does it push coolant out the overflow. I do have a cracked exhaust housing on my turbo, do you think that could be the problem?
My car does the same thing. I've never had another car do that. And this is my third dsm...I was thinking maybe my downpipe is a different material than the rest of the exhaust?
