Unless you can afford to go dogbox, it's literally a no-brainer when you start shooting above 550-600whp it seems.I'll miss the manual life, but I won't miss running 11's at almost 140 because the trans won't shift.
Hopefully hasn't been mentioned yet but you can turn the key on with injectors unplugged and coil pack unplugged, remove cas and turn it by hand. This will kick the pump on... run the feed line into your catch container.
I tell you what, I miss my 1gb from my avatar like nothing else... and this build is serious inspiration man. I have 3 2ga Talon TSI AWD's I'm flipping so I can grab myself a super clean 1gb Talon shell to do something like this with... Can't wait! Keep it up man!
I personally run Jackal Speed Density. WAY cheaper than link or EMS. And I enjoy the feeling you get after an hour roughing in the basemap to get the VE map where it needs to be. No lift to shift, launch control, all sorts of goodies. The redeeming factor in Link is the fact that it can pretty...
I have the 818 I believe. Putting in the stainless element but it worked fine with the paper on e85 too. Looks much nicer and should flow a bit better than stock..
No idea for power, went 11.95@115, 3100lbs with driver, 1.800 60' (17 degree track with no prep and bald blizzaks)30psi, e85 on 1250's, etc.Looking to refine the setup and knock off a few tenths this january :)
Option #1. Take laptop to station, fill, change injector comp, go from there.Option #2. Put in E85 untuned and limp it home. The car will compensate with trims and get it close.FWIW my 03 Cavalier LS Sport (not flex) gets e85 every once in a while to keep things clean. No issues. Car...
They do something similar to this in rally cars.I heard about it on DS-MAP. I just can't remember what it was called.EDIT: Ahh a quick Google search saves the day. I introduce to you, AntiLagSystem, methods of new and old.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antilag_system
YES change the timing belt/balance shaft belt, and the tensioner and the tensioner/idler pulleys. Go to ExtremePSI and buy the kit.Mileage doesn't ruin them as much as age. Dry rot...
Not gonna lie. I'm jealous. The girl I'm with right now is deathly afraid of my car because the day we met she saw me leave the parking lot with all 4 lit up on dry pavement. Oops. And I accidentally mentioned that the car will be making close to double the awhp as before, now.:) Have fun...
I went 11.95 @ 115 on 30psi from a b16g on e85. And there was a lot left in the car that day too.Been told it would be close to 370whp and around the same amount of torque.
I hate how I have a TON of money invested in a car I haven't driven more than 5k miles. :(But I guess once it comes back out next time minus the oil leak with a fresh head.... should be a good bit better...
LOL I twisted countless PS2 controllers in half.####in Need for Speed. I guess it's hard to go from proper mindset of driving in GT4 then go to NFS Underground. OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN TAKE CORNERS AT 200mph IN THE RAIN ON THE STREET.
Maybe I'm over thinking this, but unless he modified the actual turbine housing and the inlet to the wheel (volute), it shouldn't be spinning backwards as the volute acts as a nozzle directing the exhaust flow to the right portion of the wheel.Right?
Spark blowout? Buy a new set of NGK BPR6ES plugs and I think the magic gap # is .028.EDIT: Damnit calan :)It does generally happen at higher boost levels but small boost leaks can cause a really overly rich condition without fuel cut. Combine it with weak plugs/wires and you have spark...
I've taken a few for rides and such but never a meaningful relationship has come of it. And of course, a girl I took a class in college with... well let's just say I'm a dumbass. She was more than familiar with DSM's and of course, I never pursued that one.FFFFFFFUUUUUUU
When you machine the flywheel and step it correctly, the clutch geometry moves by however much material was removed from the mating surface between the PP and flywheel. Hence shimming the pivot ball.TRE TECH TIPS
Rear passenger suspension is assembled with Ingalls rear UCA's and a JayRacing Toe Eliminator kit.Going back out to do driver's side. Just waiting on dowels from Fidanza and front/rear brake rotors. Then I can drive her (to BMW to get an alignment)
No..75mm=.030"So the piston was marked as a .75mm overbore or .030" overbore. The bore is actually 85mm, or 85.75mm in this case, which comes out to 3.3760" rounded to the nearest ten-thousandth.:)
