my friend is thinking about getting new seats for his 2G and my seats in the 1G are getting pretty weak, would it be possible to put the front seats of a 2G into a 1G w/o too much workthanks,
jeff:laser:
Thanks for the replies so far, I will try some of the stuff and see how it works out. I am going to say that I right now agree with Defiant and think it is the switch. I have a friend is giving me a new iginition switch tomorrow so we'll see how that works. As for the history of the car I'm not...
I have a 1g and they started doesn't always seem to work. You have to keep rocking the key back and forth. Sometimes it fires right up and others it takes a few trys. It has had a few new starters and they all have done that. When you do turn the key and it doesn't crank over you can hear a...
your car is fine, just buy a joeP, works great for me. your wastegate actuator opens up when it receives about 8-10lb. when you put a boost controller on your car, it limits how much air gets to the wastegate actuator, so when you turn down your boost controller, you make it harder for air to...
i have a 90' and for about a year i ran some other 1g turbo transmission. the only thing you need to swap out is the bracket on the transmission that the cables bolt to. it will bolt right on up :thumb:
Does anyone know how to remove the core support on a 1g? I see at the top where the fenders are there are some welds, but other then those I don't know how the core support is held on.
Thanks
Does anyone happen to know the sizes of waterpump pulley bolts and the size of the crankshaft pulley bolts? I happened to misplace one or two over the month I did my timing belt. Thanks :thumb:

I once saw a person suspended the hard drive in the arm rest (in a Camry) using small springs. They put a spring in each corner that went horizontally to the inside of the arm rest. That way it could float or bounce around a little if need be. Hope that made sense.Yeah that would kick ass...
Yeah all the pictures for them that I've seen come with the wire attached to it. I haven't got mine yet, no hurry seeing as how I'm doing the old timing belt too.
lol yeah I have been wondering why I was having a problem with making boost (when I had the bcs in the car) and then when I hooked a friends datalogger up why I was counting a poopload of knock on a pretty much stock car, now I know why. Adanvanced Auto Zone has the knock sensor for $33 so I'm...
Yeah just get a mbc, I love my JoeP and for $45 shipped I think it works wonderfully. And like the other guy said if you want I'll send you one I have laying around if you really want another.
The fronts won't fit in the back, different style hubs, brackets like you said, parking brake. Wouldn't be worth it. As far as the parts for the upgraded front brakes, that is how I would do it. If you do need brackets for the different calipers, I would just get them from a junkyard.
I have the ES100's and I love them. Only had them on for 1,300 miles so far and haven't driven in the rain yet so I can't comment about that. They are able to handle almost anything I have throw at them so far. They also have a 320 tread wear too I believe. I am even thinking about putting a set...
not sure how you plan on mounting your computer but an idea or two that i saw on an old 2 door camry would be to have the motherboard under the drivers seat and they had the hard drive in the arm rest and was held up by springs, one in each cornor. the springs went out to the sides so it coudl...
I live up in Bel Air and have taken my tranny out a few times, I'm sure I could swing down and lend a hand if you did want to swap trannys, I have a 5 speed but I'm sure it's along the same lines for the most part
I've already PMed Ralph about it, but just letting the American folk know that I'm game for the lip spoiler ordering, that is if the shipping is not an arm and a leg. I like the look of the 1 piece but I think the 2 piece might look better, anyone have any day time shots of a 2 piece lip...
if you have a tubular mani, red intake, blitz bov, black valve cover, big fuel line, fpr, external wastegate then yep i sure do. just shoot me your e-mail so i don't completely whore up the thread.
How much paint would I need to paint my 90' Laser? I would paint the whole car except the roof and the b-pillar would stay black. Would a gallon of paint work for the body panels and the door jams?
Thanks,
Jeff
I have KYB AGX struts and I have a hard time adjusting the front struts. I drove around with them on (4) for a while, decided to soften it up a bit and and when I went to turn them down, only one of the front ones would turn to (3) (only go between 3 and 4) and the other side would not adjust at...
i do like the front lip too. do the mirrors fold in?
looks nice:thumb:ps-is it just me or do the headlight covers look like they have slits in them? maybe its the lighting:confused:
LinkJust read this the other day. Out near my pops house one town that I know of already has this in affect, I just can't wait for my hometown (where I normally live) take this new trend up. For the most part the local cops aren't even worth me telling about, but this would just make them...
I believe I saw a car that was the lowest of low models up at Mason Dixon last week, almost positive it has a manual steering rack. If you want I can show/tell you where it is.Jeff
