If this was me, I wouldn't even drive the car until I replaced the Thermostat and Cap. Just cause if you keep driving it like that, I'm sure if you don't need a head gasket now you soon will. Not only that with the temps being so cold up here that head is gong to warp do to the heat of the...
Sweet write up, can't wait to see how everything works out. I'm just in the process of doing a front brake upgrade. I was going to spend the extra buck on the Stoptech Big Brake kit, Just cause I did this upgrade on my old 02' Audi S4 and they were amazing, they best brakes I've ever used. So...
I had a similar problem and it ended up being my IAC. My car would start and run and would not idle, nor wold it stay running at all. It also revved up to around 2k then stop idling. Give it a try, maybe its not the issue, but give it a try. Take the IAC off and check the tip of it to see if...
I've had the DDM HID's for about 4years now and haven't had any problems. There straight plug and play; all you have to do is run the power to the battery. I went with the 35w ones and haven't had one problem in the 4years I've had them. They make a night and day difference over the stock bulbs...
I kind of have a problem with mine shifting at higher rpms. I have a stage 3 shep trans with all the upgrades, bushing kit throughout. What kind of flywheel are you using? Check Road Race Engineering ( RRE's Clutch And Flywheel Tech Info ) look towards the bottom of the page. I'm using the...
I put on a Fluidampr Harmonic Damper today and before i put it on i spun the crank (six times) by hand and made sure all my timing marks where on and they where. So i put the #1 cylinder to TDC and lined the crank pulley up with the timing marks on the crank sprocket. I put everything back...
So i found the leak that was causing power steering fluid to leak all over my down- pipe, control arm etc.. On the power steering rack, there are two little pipes that run off it. The one that was leaking is the one that goes from one end of the rack to the other end. Where can i find this...
Thats a RRE "No Name" Flywheel heres the link Road Race Engineering's Eclipse Drivetrain Upgrades .Its mid way through the page and theres pics too. Not sure about the clutch disc. But the pressure plate is most likely a Spec.
I'd go with a Shep Stage 3 Transmission. I've had nothing but good things to say about my shep trany. I have over 15k on it with no issues and around 450+AWHP.
Do you know the exact temp's or are you just looking at the stock gauge? You could get a coolant temp gauge and here's a site that sell's a water temp sensor adapter's so no drilling and taping needed.STRI Water Temperature Sensor Adapter - P/N: WTSA
Are you running your A/C? You could try placing one fan on the driver side front of radiator Pushing and the other one pulling on the engine side (passenger side) of the radiator. If you are running A/C do the same set up but put the other fan pushing threw the A/C condenser. It help me big...
Could you send a pic closer to the turbo to see if its running a wastegate or not? Can't tell from the picture. Also do you know a tick sound from a knock sound? You should post a sound clip after you figure out if its running a wastegate and when the other problems are fixed.
well im running a Aeromotive FPR with a 2.3L port'd head, 880cc injectors , a 255 pump and a GT35R what do you think i should set my FPR at? I know that the stock is set at 43.5, but with my set up what is thebest to set it at?
Well i ended up welding the banjo fitting that was on my block(7 Bolt), that was the coolant feed and am now running the feed from the water pipe same for the return. Is this safe for the Engine and Turbo?
So i ended up snapping the Banjo Fitting off the front of the block, witch was the coolant feed? What can i do? Could i just weld it off and Can i feed from another place?
Then again i had an 97 GSX that when i pushed the clutch in it never came back up and ended up to be a case of crank walk. But just bleed it and see whats happens
I wouldn't worry too much about buying some crazy seats...stick with your stock ones, you can find one in great shape in the classifieds for a good price. DSM/ECM link is a good way to go if you are going to eventually mod your car.
