Well I am pretty happy with the results of my project.98 GSX - 2.3 FFWD Stroker w/ 3582HTA (in FP housing)93 octane @ 26psi = 495whp / 469wtq
5gal 93 oct & 2 gal VP109 @ 30psi = 553whp / 498wtqTuned by Nate at TPG of course! THANKS NATE!!!!!I had a couple of issues on the dyno...
I'm finally on the road! I'll be getting tuned Saturday so I'll probably be out and about just about anywhere/everywhere if all goes well!!! ROFLI'll post up here if anything is going on - maybe Miracle Mile Sat. night if anyone wants to come over.
OK, so the lip finally came and after 2 weeks of poison ivy and laziness, I finally got around to putting it on. Sorry for the shitty pics, I'll get a couple more when I get it out of the garage and cleaned up.I like it a lot, I guess over the winter I will be doing the fiberglass work and...
Thanks...Which holes do you mean? Do you mean put ducting on the sides from the FMIC to the A/C condensor and the radiator? I've seen that write-up somewhere and plan on doing that as well.
Well while I'm taking my lumps ROFL and waiting for the emblem to get here, I did a little more Photoshopping. I've been kicking around the small black lip, so I put that on to see what it would look like along with the other changes I've made. I like it a lot, and think I'm going to buy...
Thanks! Yeah, the stuff I used was door edging so it doesn't follow the edges of my cuts exatly. I plan on doing some fiberglass work if I end up keeping it so it's better defined.Hopefully that emblem shows tomorrow - I'm dying to get it on!
Thank you very much! Your car was partially my inspiration to do it so I appreciate your comments!! And I sooooo love the color of your car.EDIT - GSX, Don't want to copy too much, but I've seen a couple of guys with filled in (EDIT)FOG lights...how did you do that? Fiberglass? I love...
Nope - doesn't move at all because I still retain the crash bumper and the styrofoam. The upper hole didn't need any trimming of the crash bumper at all - I only trimmed the lower section more for a bigger FMIC opening.
Full body pic...Link to full size pic... http://tunersource.com/gsx/fullfront.jpgAnd yes, I know I need to lower it a little LOL The coilovers are sitting in the garage, just need to get them on!!
Thanks...I'll take a pic when I actually get the real emblem instead of the Photoshop. In person, it just looks like it needs the emblem, but maybe once I get I won't feel the same??We'll see.
Not right now - didn't get any more of the whole thing.I'm sure I'll get A LOT of people not liking it, but it was something i wanted to try. Like I said, if after a while I don't like it I'll just buy a new bumper cover
Well I wanted to make a few mods to my front bumper for a few reasons...1. I wanted to get some air flowing to the radiator and engine bay with the new setup because it gets hot quick in there (nothing new to anyone here)2. Always liked the look of the upper part of the bumper of my...
Uh-huh...you do that. Good thing you know who my buddies are, right? And that they need my advice?? LOLI gave NO tech advice other than pointing out that SBR rep himself said the option on their own website is not recommended - the OP can take it from there. I don't give two ***** about...
There are definitely other better options out there...You've already seen that SBR has options on their site that they just flat out don't recommend! They can claim that the site isn't updated, but as a professional programmer by trade (hell, even a novice would know this) - it takes NO time to...
Thanks guys!I was told to leave the timing cover off. I did try setting the stock one back on when I got the motor back and it doesn't fit - if there is one that fits let me know because that does make me nervous...but the engine builder said nothing goes back on
Couple of vids from getting the 2.3 started today! I've been very nervous about starting it up - luckily no real problems. I do have an exhaust leak I need to track down and my exhaust hanger is rubbing on my driveshaft, but those aren't bad to fix so I'm happy :D2.3 FFWD Stroker

Great customer service from Shit Pump Company :notgood:7/11 and still no parts that were missing from the original shipment on 6/25. I bought 3 items on Ebay on Wednesday for under $25 and they all arrived today - that's better service than I am receiving from this company for an item I...
Well I have been fighting to get this POS dual pump system together for entirely too long now and could really use some help from anyone who has actually installed it.First of all, I received it with NO INSTRUCTIONS, missing one of the small replacement bolts that goes into the tank to...
OK thanks everyone...I thought I was losing my mind and was ready to pitch the thing in the garbage and order a new one because I thought maybe it was for a Talon and maybe it was different. I literally came in and looked on the computer 3 different times!I'll just skip it.Thanks!!
OK I seem to be having an issue installing the Megan AWD cat-back on my 98 GSX. I bought it used from a fellow member, but everything looks exactly as it does in every picture from all the vendors and nothing looks altered at all. I've also installed several cat-backs on my previous Evos and...
I can only help a little bit here as I ordered the parts and got everything ready for my mechanic, but did not do the install - but did talk to him a lot because I was worried about the specifics of this clutch. The backing will go on to the PTT TOB as long as it's absolutely the OEM one. It...
Looks like enough people spoke up to Buschur on the dual pump at least to get them to make one :thumb: Wish I would have at least called them to check before ordering this
Thanks Gary. I've been struggling trying to even put this thing together to be honest with you.The fittings themselves aren't that hard to figure out. I sent Full Blown a picture with labels and told them to tell me what goes where just to be sure. I also asked them for instructions on...
OK thanks - I "think" I know which one you mean...most of this stuff only reaches to where it's supposed to go anyway and I know which bolt you mean. I appreciate the help!
Hi everyone! Well I'm getting closer to getting my 2.3 swap going and I was putting my FMIC on when I noticed I never hooked up the harness to the alternator yet. Well there is a metal bracket that has a bolt hole in it in the harness and I can't remember where it went so I'm looking for some...
And let's pretend for one minute that the stacks were going to be made from one solid piece just like the rest of the flanges, etc...Do you realize how much wasted material (AKA Cost) you just added? I mean that just doesn't even make sense.
