Now damn it bobby!!! If you wouldn't have done the compression test we would've never known that it was runnin on 3 cylinders ### it really didn't sound like it was. But bro seriously you need to get on that machine shop to get your block back to you so we can get this thing rollin again. Its...
Magnus and RRE both have write ups on how to do the swap. I would follow them as much as possible being your first time. They are really helpful. The only wiring issue is the cam sensor of the 6 bolt to the cam sensor and crank sensor to the 7 bolt. You have to modify your drivers side motor...
Dude i drove this car more than you have. It was pretty quick with that dodge pulling it, and the ride would've been pretty smooth if i wouldnt of been settin on a stool we found in your garage lol.
Part number from advance auto off the top of my head is 43-2507. Dont remember the nappa number but they can cross the part number over. And i gurantee that number is correct.
Never did the relocation yet, but Im havin the headlight problem. They stay on when i turn the switch off. I hate electrical problems! Im hoping its just a bad ground in the circuit somewhere.
Im in Keyser, Wv. Havent measure it yet tho, its still snowing. I would guess a little more than 3 foot here. Ill get some pictures later if I can find my camera.
Is that a oil catch can in the second picture? If so it doesnt look like its hooked up. This may be your smoking problem. If its not hooked up, then hey easy fix. Or if it is hooked up, make sure its hooked up right.
Ever heard of hot rod black? Its not really flat, its more of a satin color. I think it looks good. I have seen some civic hatch's painted with it and they looked really good.
The ones for 300 are usually bigger trucks like 2500 series or 3500 series with ABS. I work at Advance if you was local i could give you my discount or a commercial discount which is better than mine in some cases.
Okay I just checked and I was wrong. They are $33.39, I work there and get a discount I guess thats why I was thinking so cheap. But thats still not that bad. Just when you replace the gasket be sure not to over tighten the valve cover bolts they can strip out really easy. Its cool man...
Seriosly it wasnt more than 20 dollars I think i spent 12.99 or something like that. You dont have a local parts store in your area like advanced auto or autozone or nappa? Even from the dealer they shouldn't be that expensive.
I'd say get a big 16g, 650cc injectors, front mount kit(I suggest short route kit of some kind), 190 or 255 fuel pump(190 should be enough and you wont need an adjustable pressure regulator) a hard intake pipe and cone filter, and you should still be able to tune that with an afc. Im pretty...
You can get them at advance auto for 122.99 a piece. I dont think thats too bad of a price considering I've sold hub assemblies for over 300 dollars a side.
I recently got one that was settin for years. Changed oil and spark plugs, and replaced the battery and so far has been the most reliable dsm I've had. Your on the right track with fresh gas and dry gas. Id say change the plugs for sure since the head gasket is blown.
They way I see it free rent is worth some of the bull s**t you have to put up with from your parents. More money to put into the dsms. Your 18, so therefore you can can register it and title it in your name insurance and all that. Not really anything they can do about that, if you paid for it...
I've built my own engine, measurements and all. Its not that bad. Just remember to lube everything. Automatic transmisssions is another story, not as easy not as fun.
Since you have 2 awd transmission both with different problems, why dont you just take them both and make one good one? Save you money in the long run instead of buying yet another transmission that will possibly have something else wrong with it.
+1 on DNP manifolds. Punishment racing also has some good tubular manifolds. I had an ebay ram horn style manifold and the welds just looked weak so I never installed it.
I seriously doubt you will be able to get a torque wrench in there to tighten those bolts. Its ok just dont go ape s**t on them and you will be fine. There is 2 different nut sizes the majority of them I believe are 12's as stated before, the two end bolts are 14's.
