Always good to have a A/B/C extginguisher in the car with you or in the garge. You can get on at wal-mart for $25 bucks. Be safe out there man! Nice 1gb:thumb:
The wires are new also...about a year and a half old. I'm going to have to check the ignition first because the car still boost fine. I'm gonna get new coil packs and also new wires. Spark plugs are still fine.
YouTube - DSM bad clutch?
YouTube - Bad clutch DSM freeway pull
YouTube - dsm boost gaugeMy mods are a 3'' turbo back exhaust w/ no cat and a 2g exhaust manifold. Pretty basic. Car feels like a slug and as you can see in the videos, WOT and no speed= WTF. Ruled out theres no problem with...
I switch between 10-30 for winter and 10-40 for summer. Use regular mineral for the first 4K and 5w-30 or 40 should be good for you since its a new engine.
A smog legal turbo car that boost 14psi STOCK. Yup! I had a an AWD but it went bust.....so I got a FWD....best DD I ever had. Another 1G AWD will be in the making in the future and that will be my road race car.:talon: Hopefully a Talon.
Hey dude. I remember seeing your car at MOD and I was taking pictures of Galant Vr-4s at MOD with you. Your car was one of the cleanist GSX's out there. I'm sorry to hear that all that hard work went down the dump tube like nothing. Good luck in the future endeavors man.:)
Theres always different people that show up to the Monday night meets. I'm out of town right now but I'll be coming out there every once in awhile. Stop by, there is at least 10 cars that show up every time.
I thought your ride was black like your avatar.....so I figured it was you when several 2g blacks rides came around. Next time...say your the GREEN eclipse....we will look out for you. Sorry to hear about the turbo man. Hopefully when Ladsm heads back out your way, you can meet all of them and...
EVO guys expect way too much. I didn't go to Chino but the majority of them ended up being EVO's. Then when a event goes to the other way....more DSM's....they automatically throw thumbs down. All I know is that I rather spend a day at the beach instead of a 100+ weather in Chino.....ANYDAY...
I know, I know. Where I live, Santa Clarita Valley, the majority of the population moved into town in 1997 and up. Since then, alot of people from out of state and what not, moved into the city. So most of them didn't feel the 94 incident. I lived there since 1988. When the chino quake happened...
Ya....that chair wasn't as bad as that Cadillac owner....that guy was a dick wad. It was funny man! We were at autobacs on our way home and when we walked outside from the store and we just see this 2g with this HUGE wing. I said," Dude.....look at that...." and before I could finish, some guy...
Hey Jenna! Thanks for setting up the meet! Mostly Eclipse rides that made it out. I didn't get sun burnt....and I took a nap out in the sun too! Met alot of good people out there, everyone loved DSMs and didn't care how the event turned out. As for someone saying the event was crappy...
Well, I saw your car at MOD...it look like it just had a bunch of bird crap on it mixed with dirt. My car...even if I washed it, would still look the same.....crappy....when not washed.:sneaky: Hope to see ya guys there!
heres a good idea......fill up your car when the lights goes on with a certain amount of gas....lets say 9 gallons....then reset your trip meter. Drive it for however long the tank last you until the gas light turns on again....fill the car up....and if it goes just over 9 gallons or maybe even...
I got the day off to go to the beach......I could care less about all the EVO's but I havn't had a day at the beach in awhile...so either other way.....I'm going.:)
This earthquake was skittles....NOTHING.....compared to the 1994 North Ridge quake. People freaked out about this one and it was talk over the dinner table that night. The 1994 earthquake shutdown Los Angeles for months, the 5 and the 14 freeway junction bridges were destroyed....and you thought...
A cruise to the meet???WTF......from Autobachs its only 15 minutes away. With most of your guys heavy feet and mach 2 speeds, it wouldn't be a cruise, it would be a friggin race.
Yeah, its probably the best fourm when it gets down to us local guys....hence the name. I was trying to contact some of the members about caravaning out to HB meet :toobad:but heck, the site was down.
Alot of guys here are saying that they aren't impressed with the DSMs that were there. My car looked like a peice crap but runs alot better than some modded rides just because its stock. Common, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it. Alot of the owners, their DSM is their only car, so...
Yeah, I agree w/ cph. Wayyy too much love for the EVO's. Every prize they gave away was for a EVO. The only thing I could of used was the friggn shift knob. Yeah, they are probably the vast majority at the event but what about the cars that gave Mitsubitshi the sports car image in the USDM. It...
Even at 12 at night.....some areas are still packed...like the 101 in downtown L.A....but thats on weekends mostly. Worst hours to drive thru L.A......5-10am & 3-8pm. Those two time periods are pretty accurate.
I'll be seeing him more often if I have any issues with my car. He needs to be recognized for his work. Spreading the word is the best way. Thanks guys.
Lets just say I am impressed with Chai's work. I dropped off my car to get the new timing belt and balance belt on. I also bought a new auto tensioner all from extreme psi. Once I dropped it off, Chai and I talked for about 20 min, telling me about his career w/ Miller Mitsubitshi and how he...
How much did C&A charge for a timing belt/balance belt change? I'm buying my own parts (timing belt, balance belt, and auto tensioner) so how much would it be for labor? By reading all the recommondations for this guy, I'm convinced to take my car to him.
I'm still thinking about getting it....but then again....I'm also thinking about getting 2.25'' o2 housing. They are cheap and have advantages. Unlike a Honda...they are loud all the time. They start their car, it sounds like they are flooring it. If they drive normally...it sounds like they are...
Yeah, I'm going with a re-route set up from the filter housing. Seems more logical cause it will extend turbo bearing life...with actual filtered oil. Anyways, I took out the hex bolt and it took some heating with a propane torch...which was actually fun....and as far as the stock oil...
