Take the boot off of the trow out fork and look in the viewing hole and push the fork back and forth and see if it is broken or has come off of the wire that keeps it attached to the fork. I had the tabs of my throw out bearing brake off and it did the same thing you are describing.

Yeah if you remove the blue connector just make sure to solder the two wires together. If the two wires don't stay connected the car will only fire on two cylinders

You could order a pre-bent cage then just get it welded together. You should also buy a NHRA or what ever kind of racing you plan on doing rule book to make sure the cage fits the rules.Here is a link to a lace that makes pretty nice pre bent cages for 1g's and 2g's. Roll Bars

I have a 97-99 front ring gear that is the only difference between 95-96 and 97-99 AWD trans so it can be switched to a 97-99 trans if needed

Improper Clutch adjustment will lock you out of gears. It locks you out because it is still dragging at high RPM not letting the trans slow down enough for a clean shift. I might also add that depending on what RPM you are revving the car to your clutch might just not be able to support that...
