Yes boost creep is always a good possiblity when adding a TBE to a mostly stock car. That can easily be fixed by porting your manifold and o2 housing. Or just upgrading both to better flowing peices.
Yes most turbos will have more go than the stock t-25 on the 2G's. But do yourself and your car a favor and dont buy any ebay turbo. They are poorly made and dont last long at all.
Heres the kit i used.Balance Shaft Elimination Kit (DSM/Evo) - Modern Automotive PerformanceI would go ahead and delete the balance shafts, its one less belt that you have to worry about breaking. Its also less rotating mass, which means more hp.
The wonderful roads in milwaukee, my car would never make it down there. How long have you have that suspension set-up on your car?
How much is the car lowered? What kind of springs?
KYB shocks are really not meant to be used on a lowered car, so yes you could have a blown strut.I...
I honestly dont get why people say this. The pedal pressure is not bad at all. Its a performance clutch I would expect the pedal pressure to be more. The ACT 2600 is a good clutch.OP what kind of power are you looking to put down?
Ebay would be the best place again.DSM 1G Mitsubishi Datalogger Cable Eclipse Talon 3000GT:eBay Motors (item 120455782767 end time Aug-14-09 12:45:28 PDT)
Personally there is no point in putting a $600+ cat-back on your car, thats all your paying for is the name and the hp gain will be the same with an ebay cat-back. Ebay cat-back, ebay test pipe, ebay headers thats the way I would go. I had a ebay header on my old N/T for 2 years and didnt have...
Got any facts to prove this. I have yet to see and back to back dyno runs to prove that this manifold is so great. Personally I dont think its going to perform much better than a ported 2G or evo 3. I have just yet to see and hard facts that this manifold is so great.People have made 500hp...
Heres some gaskets. You will need to a buy a 7cm manifold to turbo gasket.Gaskets#-#Hardware / Gaskets / Flanges / Piping#-#DSM#-#Modern Automotive PerformanceAs for the porting here some information. If you dont have an industrial size air compressor plan on it taking a whole day or...
You need to install a non cruise control cable, which can be found here.Slowboy Racing, Inc. :: Mitsubishi :: DSM :: OEM Parts :: Drivetrain :: OEM Non Cruise Throttle Cable (1G & 2G)
Even with 560cc injectors your injector duty cycles would be pretty high to hit 300hp. I would just get 650's and call it good. I would recommend the E3 16G, for your hp goals.
Have you tried spinning the pressure plate to different holes? I know mine would only line up a certain way. Also make sure not to use the throw out brearing with that kit, the ACT throw out bearing are junk. Go to the dealership and get yourself an OEM TOB.
You will need to add on the install kit which is needed for the 1G AWD. Unless you feel like running to the hardware store for some parts for the install. Personally I would just buy the install kit and be done with it. The fuel pump install is pretty straight forward.
I would never put a used tie rod end on any car. Just buy new tie rod ends and replace them yourself. There not that hard, just make sure to spray some PB blaster on them a day or 2 before you plan on replacing them to help the nut loosen up easier. You can also count how many turns it takes...
Sounds like a good deal, yeah it would make a good DD as long as you keep up on the maintance. Go check it out in person and take a really good look at it.
Anyone have any ideas?Would the compression being that low be caused by the rings not fully seating, the car has only idled for 15 minutes since the rebuild.

I agreed with everything you said besides this, this is not needed. Just add alittle recommend oil to where you opened the system and call it good. I'm done my fair share of A/C work.+2 on this part, Also the reason behind pulling the vaccum is to pull the freon back in the system when you...
This is correct, one of the upper middle studs does have an oil massage through it. I would start by checking for a leak around there. Are you sure the valve cover gasket is not leaking?
My guess is that you have a leak in your system. Which you should really take it to a shop and have them put dye in your system so the leak can be found. The leaks just going to get worse, and by adding R134 over and over again your doing nothing but wasting your money. Take it to a shop, and...
The head was all done by me, with help from my auto instrutor. Bacially just took it all apart cleaned everything up and reinstalled the parts. I forget the name of the tool that we used to check for warpage. The head and block were not machined.
I just dont get what would cause all the spark plugs to have coolant on them. I'v kind of hit a brick wall here and dont know where to go from here. Anyone have any ideas?
