oilo level verys by day! i fill it up, then it goes back down by weeks end, the car idels fine and doesnt overheat though, no compression or leakdown test have been completed yet but will within the next two days! the main problem i have is that its the only car i own and i need to drive it to...
ok im having serious problems and i was wondering if you guys had some input on the issue. first off the car is smoking white smoke very bad, but strangly it only does when the car is going 0 to 5 miles per hour. now the real problem im having is when im driving the car, when i turn, the oil...
so what trans would you guys recomend to go with, for the strict perpose of raceing, and being able to hold maximum power.... sorry if that sounds like a noob quetion lol;)
ok i started discusing this in the "pnp msns is here" thread, but i felt that this topic is going to come up alot and i didnt want to highjack the other thread! it sais on symtec's page for the pnp that it doesnt suport the automatic transmision, my question is, can the pnp msns be made to...
also, if you have a greddy oil preasure sending unit, for an oil preasure gauge double check to make sure its not leeking because most of the time they do!
wow that would suck!!! is this a comon acurance or does it rarley happen. if i have to pull my motor again im gona be pissed! i already had to do it once because slowboy raceing forgot to put in my rear main seal befor they shiped it to me:beatentodeath:
its really not about power all together im looking to make the most power at the wheels through the auto trany, thats the real challenge here! but at the crank im looking to make about 400hp.:shhh:
ok i have a 99 gs 420a a/t. im leaveing it a/t for sure, and i plan to comletely biuld whichever trans i go with untill its race ready! ok, heres my question, should i stay with the auto trans thats in the car now, or switch to the 3 speed auto thats found in the neon. keep in mind im just...
wow i never thought of that before, i think what he's asking though, is would it be theoreticly posible? i mean obviously its not just gona be a "plug up and go" job, but with modification could that posibly work?:)
o thats just great! lol well at least its geting most of the wireing out of the way. im curious if i could use the mega squirt to run the engine, while leaving part of the stock ecu in to run the transmission, im not to knowledgable about the wireing of our cars so i apoligize if that...
i have a question, i have an automatic, but i read that it doesnt suport a/t for our cars. does that mean it is completely useless to me or is there a way i can make it work!?
I also have alot of oil driping from the timing side of the block somewere. i cant pinpoint it because everything is just saturated with oil. however< i figure it leaks about 1 quart a week, but the wheel asembaly and the inside of the rim are completly coated in oil as well, as i drive down the...
but if your looking for a greater challenge biuld and boost the 420a! its not gona be cheap but i decided to go the 420a rought soley because its was more of a challenge! plus you get to suprize the hell out of the gst that pulls up next to you at the red light! lol
if your going for the clean look you could also take the gs wing off and fill the holes! or if your going for more of an agressive look swap the gs wing out for the gst wing like im about to do!
there is already a thread about the cf doors for the first gens but this one is for the 2nd gens. is there any boddy out there that has any pics of these doors installed on there cars???
get rid of the pin stripes! then lower it a bit, and through in a big brake kit to bring more attention to your wheel and tire package! and after that most importantly, put a good lookin blonde in the passanger seat!ROFL
well i wouldnt want an accident period:D!anyway i dont think they have any door pannels avalible for the 1g's yet, however they still have the wrap program. this means if you send them your door panels they will send them back carbon fiber like mine, or any car part for that matter!:thumb:
i believe the reason they discontinued it was because its maximum hp output is almost 700hp, and i guess because know 1 has made it to that mark yet i supose thats why they say its inoficiant.
wow i was sure i put my goals in the original post somewere but i must have forgotten. anyway im looking to hit around 400 to 425 whp. o and by the way this isnt another (what turbo should i go with) thread. im simply wondering if people are agreeing with what hahn is telling me as far as the...
hey guys i am now neering the point in my biuld were i need to upgrade my turbo from the super 16g. however, ive run into a bit of an on going debate, wether to go with the 20g or the 25g. i spoke to hahn racecraft themselves and they told me that the reason they discontinued the 25g turbo was...
hey, ive got a serious problem with finding ways to ventilate my hood! does anyone know whats the best hood to use to vent heat from the engine bay? thanks for any help!
acording to the hahn racecraft manual at idel it should be at about 40 psi for their kit im running alightle higher though, aroungd 45 to 50 psi at idel
your fine with that, my gap is about 1/16 bigger. only thing to do to make it look great is just make sure the gap is the same size throughout the intire span of the hood/fender line.
i like the way yours is set up? anyone else have any pics? what is that second tube for? mine only has the one that comes from the valve cover to the catch can?
at idle my fuel presure sit right between 40 and 45 psi. but my gauge isnt on the fuel rail, its mounted on my fuel presure regulator so i dont know if there would be a difference there. so are you asking what your fuel preasure should be when you hit boost?
already covered posative and negative terminals, that pic was took like 30 seconds after i tied the batery down and put the strut bar back on, i just didnt put them on yet
i think im either gona go with mounting it were the overflow resevoir is, or i might relocate the batery and mount it there. 1 question, if i were to mount it were the overflow is, whats the best way to rought the tubing to get to it?
heres a good pic of everything installed... even though it is for a second gen. i can voutch for them that there products for the 1st gens would be equal in quality:thumb:
