Long story short (very short), my rear stabilizer bar is bent to hell on my 94 fwd tsi. I am way better off trying to get a replacment then try and deal with it.Does anyone know if a specific year is more prefered over others? I have a few auto salvage yards around me that I could source...
After seeing all of the Pros on here suggest using a plate, I am going to do so, also.Boostin21,
I am about 5 hours away from Butler so that is out of the question, unfortunatly. The shop that has built 4g's in my area don't carry a 4g plate. They have a room of torque plates, but...
Please engine builders input onlyIm getting to the point where Im ready to bring my block and everything to the machine shop. Getting a TQ Plate made aroud here costs the same as buying one...I even have the file made up and still no luck. So, how many miles do you guys have on your...
Dude, 3m tape your phone to the side of your dash. Holy fail.I imagine you got bored at started dinkin around. We all do that. We just don't admit to it..Props fosho
OP, you would get better answers if your profile was filled out. What fuel pump are you running? Probably should find out what size injectors you are running..Also, you should get a W/B o2
In the future you should make your own thread man. It sounds like you could have a bad seal in your turbo. Best thing to do is check the shaft play in the turbo. Just pull off the intake tube and stick your finger in the inlet on the turbo and see if you can move the shaft.
This is how my ECU was and I was having weird issues. It eventually wouldn't stay running. I replaced the ECU and everything worked just fine.I would say yes, that is bad to find.
Come on guys let the kid learn about his car. Don't need so much hate!OP, 500hp isn't an easy task. And I suggest you get to know the components you have now before investing a big chunk of change into upgrades.
It won't be too much more lag. There WILL be more lag tho. But it will pack a punch for sure. I have a 20g on the shelf waiting for spring myself. So I personally say give it a shot.
I use a Palm M130 and the obd1 serial cable. I fun the free program MMCD. You can mess around with that and Palm N Stein. I personally like MMCD better. I mainly used it when I got my car up and running to monitor sensors to see if anything was faulty. But you can indeed make logs and all...
A lot of people spray them with a light coat of copper spray on both sides as a security. I did on mine as well. You will most likly get mixed answers on this, though.:thumb:
Get a hx35 and a matching twinscroll manifold. Skip the cutout. Just get a good quality muffler and the packing will not burn out like most cheap fart cans.
You probably just blew a coupler or somthing wasn't tightened down all the way. Its scarry for sure. But don't jump to huge conclusions untill you cover your basic bases.Good luck and hope all is well.
Honestly, your 2g mani is pretty good for your 16g. I would take that money and put it towards Ecmlink v3. You will see more improvments all around from a tuning software then from an exhaust manifold. If you are looking for "cool shiny stuff", go for it.p.s. you don't have headers
Your best bet if your looking for a stock "look" would be to fiberglass a mold for the rear of the box. But if you don't understand what I mean, don't even try.
Personally I would just sport the auto untill somthing breaks. aquire the parts in the mean time. It can give you the time to be well prepped for the swap.
If you don't have much experience with these cars, I would say buying a car with mods like that could get you into trouble quick. Especially if the car was poorly modded/maintained.
Every cam needs to be degreed. Some more then others. That debate can be researched with the SEARCH button.
Save your money and get somthing cheaper and just degree the cams correctly. To the OP, follow this suggestion. Your best bet ^^^
So I have a 94 fwd tsi :talon: . After getting my exhaust together I am realizing I need a cat-delete of some sort. I have a 3in punishment racing catback. My downpipe is probably an 3inch RRE (not totally sure on brand). My issue is this: my downpipe flange is a 3bolt, and the resonator...
