I have always split the tranny and pulled the motor seperate. I have done it several times.. Takes me probably 3 hours tops.

In the future you should make your own thread man. It sounds like you could have a bad seal in your turbo. Best thing to do is check the shaft play in the turbo. Just pull off the intake tube and stick your finger in the inlet on the turbo and see if you can move the shaft.

My vote is bleed the cooling system. I had that issues right off the bat too.

Stock is fine. My block is .40 over and I used a OEM stock replacment. There was plenty of room to spare also. You would be fine.

Hey Grizbomb, Try to clean up the corrosion with some isopropyl rubbing alcohol. That may do the trick for you. Its worth a shot.

Get a hx35 and a matching twinscroll manifold. Skip the cutout. Just get a good quality muffler and the packing will not burn out like most cheap fart cans.

Personally I would just sport the auto untill somthing breaks. aquire the parts in the mean time. It can give you the time to be well prepped for the swap.

If you don't have much experience with these cars, I would say buying a car with mods like that could get you into trouble quick. Especially if the car was poorly modded/maintained.

Every cam needs to be degreed. Some more then others. That debate can be researched with the SEARCH button. Save your money and get somthing cheaper and just degree the cams correctly.To the OP, follow this suggestion. Your best bet ^^^
