FWIW, I just remembered,I ordered one of these just to check it out, and it looks pretty decent, but I haven’t had my car running to be able to test it.Ali express knock sensorIf you search the OEM part number, MD141510, you get options from several sellers on Ali.Here’s what the one I...
This is one of the parts that the supply chain has failed us. Supposedly, a Miata knock sensor can be made to work, if you’d like to give that a shot. Otherwise, you may be waiting around for a used one to pop up. Act quickly...
After I got used to the size, I’ve really been enjoying it. It gets great mileage between 33-36 depending on A/C usage. They are very easy to work on IMO. I’m about to do the second oil change, no need to remove any splash shields or anything, but it didn’t fit on the same ramps as my Tundra so...
I like OTC also, but I get price shopping. I’ve found some quality tools from Eastwood that looked like they came from the same manufacturer as some of my Matco stuff. Have you checked there?
I saw the news earlier this week. RIP Joe.I hate I never got to meet him, I hope I can start making it to the shootout to meet some of you all. Life is way too short.
I’ve been having to stay focused on other things unfortunately, so nothing new on the DSM. I have been trying to get the Fit up to date with any free time I may have, since it’s my daily. Almost there.Went ahead and replaced all four belt moldings before they become no longer available. We all...
Someone got a steal on that car! I wish you the best of luck on your next automotive adventure. Definitely pop back in and let us know what you’re up to.
Hopefully y’all took care of your wives and girlfriends better than I did this year, they do put up with us taking up the whole garage with our spare parts and jackstands year round.
What looks worse: holes that EVERY upper model DSM has in the rockers/doors to hold the skirts on that you’ll never see, or unfinished or damaged and unnecessary bondo/paint work? Not trying to rain on your parade, just seems like a lot of work to avoid drilling some holes. You’re doing as...
I always have the “warehouse struggle”, I just had to choose NGK plugs over Denso in my most recent order because of it. I’ve never noticed previously same warehouse items changing though, I will definitely keep an eye out for that!
I believe there is an option in ecm link for a cold-start fuel add, but I’m not familiar with how to adjust it. Hopefully someone can chime in that knows.I would want to check the mechanical timing and make sure it’s not a tooth or two off.
Have you had a look thru this article yet?https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/how-to-diagnose-a-no-start.217951/Lots of different things can cause a no start, going thru some of this troubleshooting will help narrow it down. Let us know what else you see when you have time.
It’s nice to have but it’s not necessary. You get more done on your car without one than I do with one!I am not sure it was the most responsible way to spend my money considering how much time I (don’t) get to spend out here, and how many more important things got put on hold for a couple...
Welcome! That’s an interesting color, I like it.For your other questions, I think you’ll find @alexr254 ’s build thread of interest. Here’s a link to it:https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/spyder-4g64-hybrid-turbo.535247/
Thanks for saying what I was thinking LOL .The factory JBL speakers in my wife’s old Rav4 sounded pretty decent too. I’m sure the aftermarket ones are a step above that.
I think this post by @gofer might help with that. I certainly couldn’t write it better myself.https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/16g-supporting-mods.514242/#post-153665168
I don’t think the audio scene is what it used to be. We used to go spend our money at a locally owned audio shop. I don’t know if those exist anymore, but if you have one near you, you should definitely stop by and support them.To better answer your question, in 2023, I would suggest just...
When I found myself in these situations at the dealer, I would use some electrical tape wrapped around whatever alignment tool I had available to make it fit how I needed it to. In your case it sounds like maybe a couple wraps around the splines to fit the disc better.
I would contact the seller in one way or another and talk to them first. Make sure they actually have what your looking for, and you’re not just sending money out to some warehouse that’s been closed down for ten years.
With prices like that, I’m afraid it won’t be much longer before all these parts stores just have a big Spirit Halloween banner covering up what used to be.My local Napa just closed. Autozone is still there and I try to support them because that’s where I turn in my used oil, but I’ve noticed...
