Here is mine. Still have a lot more I would like to do like re locate my fuse box, mount the wiring harness lower, and take out the the black material on the fire wall.
I do plan to use the motor in my gst right now. I do have a 95 ecu already because I have ecmlink v.3. I am not worried about emissions as I already deleted them in my gst, including the charcoal canister. I saw on a dsm vendors website that they sell a wiring adapter to use my CAS with an older...
Well thats good news that I can use the clutch from my gst since I have an ACT2600 with a street disc already. That saves me a little bit of cash. As far as the wiring shouldn't the harnesses be the same? Ideally I am trying to find a 95 gsx shell so that way I do not have to worry about passing...
So I have decided that it is time for me to upgrade from my gst to a gsx. :D I am looking for a clean gsx shell and to swap my 7 bolt motor out of my gst and put it into the gsx shell. I know that the transmission, clutch, and flywheel will not work from my gst but is there anything else that I...
I would paint it all silver. I personally dont have my fog light bezels in and I think it looks better. Try taking them out and see how you feel about it. Also the black piece above the intercooler you can just cut out so that way you get more flow to your intercooler. I think it looks better...
Im sure if you posted your car up for sale somewhere there will be a person looking for a "one off" 2g dsm. There are people out there with money to spend so why not just post it up and see what people shoot you for offers. If I was in your situation I would personally keep the car. I admire...
Ok thanks for the straight forward answer. I guess its time to sell the 880's for something larger. They just got an E85 pump near my house so I really want to make the switch to E85.
I too am also thinking about switching to E85. I currently have PTE 880's so would I be able to get by with these injectors. My mods list is current and up to date in case you want to check it out. Thanks.
Finally some pictures. Is this the finished product or is there still more work to be done? Would love to see a picture of the front of the car with you standing back so we can get a good view.
I would definitely leave the wheels the way they are. They look awesome on your car and in my opinion totally makes your car look badass. Plus the polished lip is a nice accent along with the shiny front mount.
Exactly, a ported 2g manifold will work sufficiently. That is what I am running on my car right now. If you have the money and are dead set on upgrading your manifold then I suggest the FP race manifold like I stated earlier over an ebay tubular one.
I agree with 99gstracer. I prefer to drive with the windows down so I can hear the exhaust and the spooling of the turbo, so I never used my ac anyways. So I ended up pulling mine because I never used it and it also cleans up the engine bay a lot and gives a much cleaner look.
Here is the link to a youtube video where someone has this bumper on a white 2g. I think its the same car as the first picture in this thread. It is definitely not photoshopped and this video proves it. Maybe you can ask the person who posted the video where he got the bumper. Hope this helps...
I personally love white wheels on a white eclipse. Thats just my opinion though. I do know a lot of people who don't but at the end of the day it only matters what you like. Here is a picture of my 2g with the white wheels.
I personally don't have one yet but I am going to be purchasing the 4 point roll bar from AutoPower. I have seen one before installed on a 2g and it looked awesome. Bolts right in without any fitment issues at all. The welds also looked good. So you will be getting your moneys worth.
So sorry to hear about the loss of Wendy. I did not know her personally but anytime a fellow DSM'er passes away it is just a terrible situation. RIP Wendy.
If you search the forums there are a lot of good articles on cleaning up the engine bay. You can do a wire tuck, remove the ac, remove emissions, cruise control delete, etc. I havn't done much with mine but I plan of doing all the things I stated above. Good luck, it will definitely make the...
Some shots of my gs-t with the new wheels. What do you guys think of the white with red lip? I've been getting mixed opinions from a lot of people. Personally I think the red compliments the red mitsubishi symbol on the front bumper as well as the red in the taillights. Not to mention the red...
I am having the same problem after just installing a big 16g. I was told to go external wastegate and it will solve the issue. Havnt done it yet but when I do I will let you know if it completely solves the problem.
No problem. I really recommend going external simply because it will solve your overboosting problem now and will also be good if you decide to go with a larger turbo setup in the future. Good luck.
As far as going external you need to purchase a couple things first. #1 an external wastegate (Im going with a tial 38mm) #2 either an o2 housing or manifold flanged for an external wastegate. If you mount your wastegate on the manifold you will need to weld the internal wastegate flapper shut...
I am having the same issue now after just installing a big 16g about a week ago. Im just going to save and go with an external wastegate setup. Its is probably the best way to go with the 16g. It will solve any problems you may have with the internal wastegate, whether it be the actuator or the...
You technically don't need new shocks to install lowering springs. I would recommend putting in aftermarket shocks though but thats up to you and your budget. I have Tokico Illumina struts with tokico springs. I bought them on ebay for $550 shipped. They dropped my car 1 1/2 inches. I think they...
Im having a similar problem to this. Im still on the stock t-25 and my mbc is set to 15psi. The only gear that it wont hold a constant 15psi is from 2nd to 3rd. It hits 15psi then drops to 12psi. Then after that my boost gage reads 15psi through all the other gears.
